THIS IS ALSO A CUSTOM HANDICAPPED VAN WITH A HEAVY LIFT AND CARRYING PRECIOUS CARGO : MY SON WHO IS MY LIFE. IF THESE BREAK THE STEERING WILL BE GONE AND TIRES WILL PULL TO WHICH EVER SIDE YOUR VEHICLE WAS LEANING TOWARDS AT THE TIME. THIS IS DANGEROUS AND SHOULD BE ISSUED IN A RECALL IMMEDIATELY. WE HAVE ALREADY HAD THE HINGES REPLACED 4 TIMES BY THE DEALERSHIP AND NOW THEY ARE DOING IT AGAIN. EVENTUALLY, IF WE PUSH HARD ENOUGH WE CAN BREAK THE HINGE AND THE DOOR WILL THEN SWING OPEN. DEALER IN NJ STATED THEY REPLACED THE WEIGHTS THAT WERE MISSING AND ALSO TOLD US WE NEEDED TO HAVE ROTORS CUT DOWN. COST OF $60.00 FOR WEIGHTS AND ROTORS UNDER WARRANTY. NOT EVEN 2 MILES UP ROAD AND THE WEIGHTS CAME OFF AGAIN. THIS TIME I CALLED TO DEALER IN FL. THEY TOLD US TO GO TO REPUTABLE TIRE CO AND HAVE IT CHECKED BECAUSE THEY WOULD BE ABLE TO MAKE SURE WEIGHTS WERE PLACED ON PROPERLY AND SECURED NOT TO FALL OFF AGAIN ON TRIP HOME TO FL. WE TOOK TO GOOD YEAR DEALERSHIP AND THEY HAD TO REPLACE 2 TIRES BUT THE DEALER EXPLAINED THAT THE TIRES WERE ALL ROTTING AND SLICES WERE ALL OVER THE SIDEWALLS THAT SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN THERE. HE ALSO TOLD THEM THAT THE TIRES WERE ALL FROM THE SAME LOT AND CUT AND CONSECUTIVE NUMBERS ALSO. HE RECOMMENDED TO CORP THAT THEY AGREE TO REPLACE ALL 4 BECAUSE HE WAS NOT SURE THAT WE WOULD NOT HAVE TROUBLE ON THE WAY HOME. I FELT THAT IT WAS AGREED THAT THESE TIRES IN THE LOT NUMBERS SHOULD BE RECALLED TO THE PUBLIC FOR SAFETY REASONS. - Summary: General Motors, LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2003-2023 Chevrolet Express Cutaway and GMC Savana Cutaway incomplete vehicles equipped with wiring for an optional rear heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (HVAC) system. When the HVAC blower motor circuit is left unused with exposed connectors and wiring, the circuit can corrode and overheat.
- Consequence: An overheated electrical circuit increases the risk of a fire.
- Remedy: Dealers will properly seal the rear HVAC blower motor circuits at the left side B-pillar, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 2, 2023. Owners may contact Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020 or GMC customer service at 1-800-462-8782. GMC's number for this recall is N222386050.

I hope you're doing well! I just wanted to let you know that I've owned this from when it was new and I really like everything about it.

We bought this van to take our loved ones and furry friends on adventures to the beach, mountains, camping, and beyond. It has handled everything we've asked of it. The rubber mats and vinyl seats make cleaning up after a trip to the beach or mountains a breeze. It tows our large tent trailer without any trouble. Although we did have to replace the transmission after about 110,000 miles, which seems a bit early, we still would buy this van again.

I've been working since I was young, and GMC is the only work truck for me. If I had used an extended van, I wouldn't have been able to park it in the warm garage away from the birds we feed.

We have really enjoyed driving this vehicle for the last 14000 miles. It was a conversion by Cobra, nothing too fancy, but it has the best seats available. We didn't opt for a TV or mood lights, but that hasn't detracted from our experience. The fuel economy has ranged from 12.5 mpg in sub-zero city driving to 20.2 mpg on 55 mph rural roads, which we're really happy with. The only issue we've had so far is with the windshield weather stripping, which came loose while on the interstate. Thankfully, the dealer was able to make the repair, eventually. Unfortunately, GM treats the option list like all Savanna's will be plumbing trucks, so we didn't get an MP3 cd player, XM satellite controller, or trip computer. However, all of these items are available on the Yukon/Suburban, which this van is based on. It has a 5.3 V8 engine and was the same price as the Toyota Sienna, but the extra space was the deciding factor for us.

I bought this van used from the previous owner who had a Cadillac Escalade. When I bought it, it had only 90,000 original miles and some aftermarket parts. It has no rust, no engine or transmission issues, and rides great!

When my diesel van was new, it had some engine problems, transmission issues, alternator malfunctions, a sliding door that wouldn't work, and a few other problems. However, they were eventually fixed. Now, it is pretty reliable, except for the alternator belt that has flown off 3 times. Despite the issues I've had, I absolutely love my van! It tows great and I have no problems passing any other truck type vehicles on any mountain passes. My husband agrees that it outperforms his 1997 4x4 dually Chevy diesel truck, except for the lack of 4-wheel drive. I can honestly say that this vehicle has enhanced my life because of its towing abilities and the spacious interior it provides. Although the interior is not the most luxurious, I have learned to live with it. I would definitely buy this vehicle again, especially if it had 4-wheel drive.

I hope you're doing well! I noticed that you mentioned using your van to pull your fishing boat to the ocean. That sounds like a lot of fun! I was thinking that it might be helpful to have side mirrors that extend out for better visibility when backing up in tight spaces. I've seen some really nice ones on Ford pickups that might work well for your van. Some of them even retract and fold against the truck when not in use. I know you love your van, and I think this could be a great addition to make your fishing trips even more enjoyable. It's great that you have holders for all your fishing gear, too. Just lock up the van and you're ready for your next adventure!

I hope you're doing well! I wanted to share my experience with my Exployer conversion. While the interior looks great, I did notice that the ride quality is only fair. Additionally, at highway speeds, there is quite a bit of wind noise which can make it difficult to hold a conversation.

Great vehicle for past 4 years! The AWD has worked flawlessly and is just as good as my previous 4WD vehicle with a transfer case, but much more convenient. However, I have experienced two issues. Firstly, the AC will not hold a charge for more than one season. Secondly, the side swinging door hits the front passenger door when both are open, which dents the rear door on the edge of the front door. This is a really poor design (where were the engineers???).

Great van! It's amazing how much power and fuel mileage it provides for such a large vehicle. I'm really looking forward to purchasing the new GM Diesel van. We use it to tow the US Bobsled to shows and take it to a lot of Nascar Races. We're very active in racing, selling our products to several teams and sponsoring others. It's not uncommon to see Nascar drivers catching a ride in our van, which can seat up to 15 people. All in all, we're extremely satisfied with it.
