2013 Ford F-750 problems
The medium-duty version of the Ford F-Series is a range of commercial trucks manufactured by Ford Motor Company since 1948. Derived from the smaller F-Series pickup trucks, the medium-duty range is currently in its eighth generation. Initially slotted between the F-Series pickup trucks and the "Big Job" conventionals, later generations were slotted below the L-Series "Louisville" trucks; the last two generations are the largest vehicles produced by Ford since its exit from the heavy-truck segment.
The medium-duty F-Series has been used for an extensive number of applications, offered as a straight (rigid) truck and a truck-tractor (for semitrailers) in multiple cab configurations. Prior to the production of the Ford C-Series, the model line was also offered in a cab-over engine (COE) configuration; a cowled-chassis variant (the Ford B-series) was used for bus production.
For the 2000 model year, the medium-duty F-Series has been branded as part of the Ford Super Duty range, consisting of the Class 6–7 Ford F-650 and F-750; Class 8 versions of the F-750 have been produced since 2011. The current generation of the medium-duty F-Series is manufactured by Ford in its Ohio Assembly facility (Avon Lake, Ohio), replacing a joint venture with Navistar International named Blue Diamond Truck Company LLC located in General Escobedo, Mexico.

Common 2013 Ford F-750 problems
The 2013 Ford F-750 is a heavy-duty truck that has been reported to have several common problems based on complaints from owners. These issues include seat belt anchorage, transmission defects, and exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) problems.
One of the most significant issues with the 2013 Ford F-750 is related to the seat belt anchorage. Approximately 26,000 model-year 2011-2013 and 2015 Ford F-650 and F-750 medium-duty trucks produced at the Escobedo Assembly Plant in Mexico from February 14, 2011, to April 28, 2015, are affected by this problem. The front passenger and center seat belts might not be anchored in the correct position relative to the seats, increasing the risk of an injury should there be a crash. Ford is not aware of any accidents or injuries associated with this issue. The fix for this problem is still being developed, and Ford will begin notifying customers by mail starting September 21, asking them to contact their local dealers regarding the recall.
Another common problem with the 2013 Ford F-750 is related to the transmission. The 6R140 transmission used in the E-350, F-650, and F-750 has been identified to have a transmission casting defect in the upper valve body casting, increasing the chances of the main control poppet valve getting stuck wide open. This issue can lead to restricted lubrication flow to the rear housing bushing, resulting in excessive heat generation, which will erode the rear seal and lead to transmission fluid leakage. Ultimately, the park actuator will be rendered unable to engage the park pawl, increasing the risk of rollaway. Approximately 5,975 vehicles are recalled, split between 2,525 units of the E-350, 2,575 of the F-650, and 695 of the F-750.
Lastly, the 2013 Ford F-750 has been reported to have exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) problems. The EGR is a system that recirculates a portion of an engine's exhaust gas back to the engine cylinders to reduce NOx emissions. Usually, it is not a problem, with the exception of the cooler getting clogged with soot. However, if the EGR cooler gets clogged, it can disrupt the DEF system, which injects upstream in the SCR, leading to reduced power mode and other issues.
In conclusion, the 2013 Ford F-750 has several common problems, including seat belt anchorage, transmission defects, and exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) problems. These issues can lead to significant safety risks and should be addressed promptly. Owners of the affected vehicles are encouraged to contact their local dealers regarding the recalls and take necessary actions to ensure their safety.
