I bought my Spirit new in June of 1994 and it has been a great car. It has carried my family of 5 snuggly but comfortably for 310,000 miles in 12 years. Although I've had to repair the transmission twice, the car has been dependable and exactly what I needed. Sadly, the engine is finally going out due to a coolant leak and the repair is too costly for its age and number of miles. I just hope the replacement is at least half the car my Spirit is. Goodbye old friend, I'll miss you.

I love this car! It has a sentimental value to me as I got it from my brother after he went to jail. Despite having around 100,000 miles, it was in great shape and very sturdy. I learned everything about cars from this one, what to do and what not to do. It was amazing on gas and took me from Linesville, Pa. to Columbus Ohio and back (roughly 461 miles total) on just one tank of gas. It even survived rough dirt roads without any issues. The only thing that stopped this baby was a White minivan rear-ending me at a red light. I wish I still had this car as it holds a special place in my heart.

I've owned this car for half a year and I haven't had any trouble with it since I bought it. It runs about 25 mpg, which I think is pretty good for a mid-size car.

I hope you're doing well! I just wanted to share my experience with my '94 Spirit. I bought it back in January of '02 and it has been an absolute champ ever since. It has plowed through snowstorms and over mountains without fail, and I've put over 40000 miles of hard winter driving in Vermont on it. I only paid $2500 for it, which was an absolute steal. All in all, it's been a great car!

I purchased this vehicle as a second owner with 31,302 miles. Since then, I have put 44,698 miles on it. While I have had some issues with the car, including three automatic transmission replacements and two front wheel bearing replacements, I have found that the power windows malfunction and the air conditioner compressor is noisy when engaged. Additionally, there have been significant issues with the idling. Overall, I would not recommend this car.

Hi there! I wanted to share my experience with my Spirit. Over the course of three years, I drove it for over 100K miles and found it to be very dependable and reasonably thrifty. While the V6 was peppy, it was limited by the transmission and suspension. The interior was okay, but the seats left much to be desired in terms of comfort and support. One thing to keep in mind is that it needs cam belts replaced every 60K miles or so, and the water pump needs to be replaced around the same time since it's cam belt driven. Unfortunately, I did experience the famous Chrysler paint flaking problem when I drove it to Goodwill. Overall, I would recommend the Spirit for its reliability and efficiency.
