I bought a car with 13,000 miles on it and have driven it from Utah to Maryland three times with no problems! It cruises at 80 to 85 mph all day with no problem, making 12-hour drive days great without feeling tired at the end. The car has over 130,000 miles on it, but the interior still looks new with only the usual wear and tear. The only major issue was with the transmission, which may have been caused by letting the car sit for 6 months while getting it licensed. Overall, I absolutely love this car! It has great handling and gets excellent mileage (32 to 35 on the highway, 28 around town). It still looks good and I plan to keep it for another 10 years! You can't go wrong with getting a 95 Neon!

The first model year of the Car had a few minor issues, but overall it was a great little compact car for its time. It looked good, handled excellently (especially the ACR model), and had plenty of get-up-and-go for a four-cylinder engine (especially the DOHC/perf 5 spd model). While it's true that the car's resale value isn't great, I personally own two Neons, both 1995 models. While I've had my share of problems, it's important to remember that any car can develop issues depending on the conditions it's used under.

Hi there! I wanted to share my experience with my 1995 Neon. It has around 125,000 miles on it, and I've been pleasantly surprised with how well it's held up. I did have one issue with the instrument cluster, but I was able to fix it by repairing the ground. After that, I made some minor performance and fuel economy upgrades, and I was amazed to see that I was getting over 55 mpg on the highway with my .75 overdriven manual trans and 2.0l SOHC engine. The only thing I haven't been able to find any issues with is the head gasket, and I've never had any problems with the car up to the point where I rebuilt the cylinder head for even better performance. Overall, I'm really happy with my Neon and would definitely recommend it to others!

Great value overall! It's amazing that this vehicle is still running strong after 200,000 miles. Although I've had a few minor problems, they were all normal wear and tear issues such as the cruise control actuator, fuel gauge sending unit, timing belt tensioner, and shifter cable ends (5-spd).

The head gasket blew, but Chrysler only paid half of the cost. However, I was able to successfully negotiate with them to cover the remaining expenses. Additionally, the A/C compressor and evaporator both failed simultaneously, which cost over $1000 to repair. Due to the high cost of repairs and the value of the car, I have decided not to proceed with fixing it. Unfortunately, the sensors for the gas gauge are also malfunctioning. Lastly, I have noticed that water pours in through the windows when they are open during rain, but I have installed vent shades to mitigate this issue.

I purchased this car back in 1999. It was great for the first six months, but after that, it started to give me some trouble. Unfortunately, I've had to deal with a blown head gasket, as well as leaks in both my oil and transmission fluid. Additionally, my air conditioning only seems to work for one summer at a time, and I've had some issues with the oxygen sensor. Most recently, I experienced a problem with my accelerator plate. While driving on the highway, my car accelerated to 90 mph without me even touching the gas pedal. When I tried to slow down, neither the brakes nor the emergency brake would work. Despite these challenges, I have some fond memories with this car. However, when things go wrong, it can definitely hit the wallet hard!
