Chrysler Lebaron problems
The Chrysler LeBaron, also known as the Imperial LeBaron, is a line of automobiles built by Chrysler from 1931 to 1941 and from 1955 to 1995. The model was introduced in 1931, with a body manufactured by LeBaron, and competed with other luxury cars of the era such as Lincoln and Packard. After purchasing LeBaron with its parent Briggs Manufacturing Company, Chrysler introduced the luxury make Imperial in 1955, and sold automobiles under the name Imperial LeBaron until 1975. Chrysler discontinued the Imperial brand in 1975, and reintroduced the Chrysler LeBaron in 1977 to what was then Chrysler's lowest priced model.
The "LeBaron" name has since been applied to five different cars built by the Chrysler Division:
- 1977–1981 M-body (mid-size) LeBaron sedan, coupe, and wagon
- 1982–1988 K-body (mid-size) LeBaron sedan, coupe, convertible, and wagon
- 1985–1989 H-body (mid-size) LeBaron GTS hatchback
- 1987–1995 J-body (personal luxury) LeBaron coupe and convertible
- 1990–1994 AA-body (mid-size) LeBaron sedan
The last Chrysler LeBaron was produced in 1995, to be replaced with the Cirrus and Sebring. The LeBaron was one of Chrysler's longest running brands.

I bought my GTC turbo convertible brand new in 1990 for pleasure and summer use only. It has 66,000 miles to date and has only required minor repairs such as a replaced head gasket at 50,000 miles, a rear window motor, timing belt, muffler, etc. The original top is still in good condition and the body is rust-free. Although the AM radio has died, the FM radio is still working. The car drives beautifully, actually better than ever. I now use it as my daily driver (since I bought a new Miata for summer fun). I find it to be a very enjoyable car, although there are others that are better built.

Hey there! I just wanted to share with you that I recently got my third car, and it's my second Chrysler. My first one unfortunately got totaled in an accident, but luckily my uncle had this one that he was trying to sell to my parents. Since it was for me, he charged me only 200 instead of 450! I have to say, I absolutely love this car. It's so similar to my old one, but even better, despite being a year older. It's all white with red interior, and even though it's 17 years old, it runs like a dream! As an 18-year-old college student, I couldn't ask for a better car to drive around in. My friend, who's 19, thinks it has too much power for her because it's a V6, but I personally love the power output! What do you think?

It's very easy to work on and the parts aren't too expensive compared to other convertibles. It looks just as good as a new BMW convertible and it's not very expensive to own or buy. It has a little bit of muscle and is not too bad on gas. It's also reliable. However, it's not the best car for long trips due to limited back seat leg room, although it's still bigger than most in its class.

I can tell you that I have only had this car for about 4 months but it is the best vehicle I have owned. For being a smaller car it performs better than I imagined. I call it my little hot rod. It is in excellent condition for being 15 years old, and it's amazing how solid it is.

At 12 years old, this vehicle is still going strong despite a few minor issues. The vinyl trim is pulling back in one spot on the rear interior, the right-rear window motor is getting sluggish, there is some paint chalking on the front fascia, and the passenger seat is a bit cranky about tipping forward. However, these are all expected with age and nothing major. With only an annual oil change and low mileage, this vehicle has proven to be reliable. The original roof is still intact and no major engine or transmission work has been needed. It seems like this vehicle is ready to go for another 12 years!

Hi there! I wanted to share my thoughts on my 89 LeBaron, but I couldn't find the right place to leave a review. With 178,000 miles on it, I'm happy to say that it's still a reliable car. It's great on gas and, considering its age, I think it's pretty cute! I've only had to deal with normal wear and tear, but nothing major. Overall, I'm really happy with my LeBaron.

This is my first car and I'm happy to say that it has been a pretty enjoyable experience so far. The only repair I've had to do beyond normal wear and tear in the past year was a new wheel bearing, which was a minor issue. Although the styling is a bit old-fashioned, I've customized it enough to turn some heads and make it my own. And let's be honest, who wouldn't want a convertible? Especially one that gets decent gas mileage and is fairly inexpensive. All in all, I think it's a great car.

I really like this car more than my mother's Lincoln Towncar, which I think is a bit of a junk. You should definitely consider buying this car, although its reliability could be improved, like Honda.

This car has been in my family since we bought it new and we have had little problems with it over the past 20 years. It has over 200 thousand miles on it and the only major issues we have had were with the starter, key ignition, struts, battery, AC, radio, and easy-to-get-to gaskets. As long as you keep up with maintenance, you'll be fine. If you keep your foot off the gas, you can get 23 to 29 miles per gallon and it has medium power. It can still easily reach 110 miles per hour (on a track) even with blown gaskets and only a quart and a half of oil between changes. I would actually consider it a comfortable car for a road trip.

The LeBaron GTC is a really fun car to drive, especially with the top down. Although the styling is a bit sporty, it still looks great. We've owned this car for 8 years as a 'fun car' and have only put an average of 5000 miles on it per year. I absolutely love driving it, but it's worth noting that it can be a bit unreliable. Unfortunately, we've experienced some breakdowns, even early on in our ownership, such as issues with the motor mounts, CV joints, rear sway bar, and electric window. If you're looking for a fun car, this is definitely a great option, but if you prioritize reliability, you may want to consider other options.
