In North America, the S-series was replaced by the Chevrolet Colorado, GMC Canyon, and Isuzu i-Series in 2004.
The S-Series ended production in Brazil in 2012, being replaced by the Chevrolet Colorado, but still with the name S-10.

Your 2003 S-10 is an excellent truck! If you know how to drive a five-speed, you can really get this truck moving fairly quickly. The five-speed is the way to go if you're going to buy the S-10, as it provides a more powerful takeoff and accelerates much faster. The truck's suspension is overall tight, and it gets an impressive 30 miles per gallon. I'm glad you purchased this truck for work because it gets great gas mileage. The interior is nice, and the additional passenger-side airbag is a great addition, with an optional on-off button. The truck rides very smoothly. Overall, this is a fantastic little truck, and at $10,700, it's a great deal for a brand new truck!

You got a truck for your daughter last year to help her get to work, and it still looks new! The battery was replaced the other day, which is normal after 4 years, but other than that it's been working great. You even put a top on it and it's been perfect for shopping - no leaks at all!

This pickup bed may not be the best, but it can haul almost anything, except for a 2X4 (although you can fit a 12' in if you hold on to it :). It's a great vehicle for mid-life kids, yard work, and miscellaneous projects. While the gas mileage isn't great, it's no worse than anything else in its class. The residual power, auto headlights, and power everything are awesome features. Chevy did a great job improving the brakes for 2002. This is a great vehicle for fair/cold weather, and like all S-10's over the past few years, the heater seems to always be on. The A/C works VERY well, but it seems odd that you cannot force cool air out of the system when it is 40deg outside without turning on the A/C.

I have owned this 2003 S-10 for 8 months and have had it in the service shop over 9 times due to the transmission shifting really hard and experiencing a significant delay when slowing down and speeding up.

I purchased this S-10 in May of 2005 and it has been a great truck overall. However, it does have a few flaws, such as shifting with a temperamental attitude. Sometimes it's happy, and other times it's really mad! Despite this, the ride quality is good on long trips and it's easy on the wallet with 25MPG. If you don't mind sacrificing a few MPG, I recommend getting the 6-cylinder. It's more fun to drive and you won't have to ride with the hazard lights on while getting up to speed on the interstate. Overall, I cannot complain as I have never been stranded or broken down. *knocks on wood*
