MY VEHICLE IS 11 YEARS OLD BUT HAS LESS THAN 20,000 ORIGINAL MILES (MOST ARE HIGHWAY). 19,800 TO BE EXACT. DEALER INDICATES GM WILL NOT AUTHORIZE A FIX AT NO COST UNDER THEIR SPECIAL COVERAGE ADJUSTMENT #07187C. THIS VEHICLE HAS BEEN WELL MAINTAINED AND I FAIL TO SEE HOW HAVING SIMPLE TIME PASSAGE ON A LOW MILEAGE VEHICLE IS CAUSE FOR NOT BACKING THE PRODUCT. LOOKS LIKE THEY KNOW THEY HAVE A PROBLEM AND JUST DON'T WANT TO PAY TO RESOLVE THE ISSUE. THEY ARE USING TIME PASSAGE AS A WAY TO SIDE STEP CORRECTING THE ISSUE ON A PART THAT THEY KNOW TO BE DEFECTIVE. A PART THEY KNOW FAILS. A PART THAT PROVIDES THE OPERATOR WITH FEEDBACK SO SAFE OPERATION AND CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE CAN BE MAINTAINED. - Summary: ON 8/13/2014 WHILE APPROACHING A RED LIGHT ON US ROUTE 22 IN MONROEVILLE, PA.; AT ABOUT 30 MPH, MY PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR. I IMMEDIATELY SHIFTED TO LOW GEAR AND APPLIED THE EMERGENCY BRAKE. I WAS VERY LUCKY TO NOT HIT THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME, ABOUT 2 FEET TO SPARE. PULLED OFF ROAD, OPENED HOOD, MASTER CYLINDER LOW, PUDDLE UNDER DRIVER'S SEAT. AS I WAS ONLY 1/4 MILE FROM MY FAVORITE MECHANIC AND WAS ON A LEVEL ROAD, I PUT THE 4 WAY FLASHERS ON, LOW GEAR, AND PROCEEDED AT 5 MPH TO THE SERVICE CENTER. ONLY BRAKES I HAD WAS EMERGENCY, NOTHING AT ALL FROM PEDAL ?????? WHAT USE IS A DUAL MASTER WHEN THE LINE TO THE ABS BURSTS. THIS VEHICLE HAS 45K MILES ON THE ODOMETER, IT MAY BE 10 YEARS OLD; BUT THIS SHOULD NEVER HAPPEN ON A VEHICLE IN THIS CONDITION, LOOKS NEW, DRIVES NEW. REPAIR TO GET BACK ON THE ROAD WAS $274.01 BUT; MECHANIC INFORMED ME THAT ALL MY LINES WERE BAD AND SHOULD BE REPLACED. I JUST HAD ALL THE BRAKE LINES / FLEX HOSES / AND GEE EVEN THE GAS LINE WERE RUSTING THRU REPLACED AT A COST OF $1323.32. SO I'VE SPENT $1500.00 ON BRAKE / FUEL LINE REPLACEMENT. I AS WELL AS MANY OF MY FRIENDS WERE SHOCKED AT THIS FAILURE, ESPECIALLY WHEN WE DRIVE 50 60 YEAR OLD TRIUMPH SPORTS CARS WITH ORIGINAL BRAKE LINES. NEVER HAVE I EXPERIENCED THIS TYPE OF FAILURE. IF I WOULD HAVE BEEN TRAVELING ON A FREEWAY AT 65 OR 70 AND NEEDED TO STOP I'D PROBABLY BE DEAD, AS WELL AS WHOEVER I MAY HAVE HIT IN FRONT OF ME. THIS IS A TERRIBLE PROBLEM AND I HAVE SEEN LOTS OF FOLKS WITH GM TRUCKS COMPLAINING OF THIS MALADY. *TR

UNDER CERTAIN DRIVING CONDITIONS, A FRACTURED SEAL MAY REQUIRE A SLIGHT INCREASE IN THE APPLIED BRAKE PEDAL EFFORT TO ACHIEVE THE SAME VEHICLE DECELERATION RATE AS PRIOR TO THE SEAT FRACTURE.

Expensive but worth it. Feels safe as a vault, handles like a much smaller vehicle and has performance plus. Wonderful on long trips. Traded a 2002 Escalade AWD in for this one and the 2004 seems much improved. Seems to hold resale value well.

I think it is really ugly, but I love the comfort and the way it drives. So far, I haven't had any problems, although the gas mileage could be better.

I leased my Cadillac Escalade ESV almost a year and a half ago and I absolutely love it! It always gets looks and compliments wherever I go, especially with the black exterior and shale leather interior, and all the windows tinted. The ride is smooth and comfortable, and it has plenty of power and torque. My daughter's classmates always enjoy riding in it and listening to music or watching a DVD. I'm eagerly looking forward to getting an '07 or '08 model when my lease expires!

This is truly an outstanding vehicle. It offers the comfort and refinement that you would expect from a premium SUV, while also being rugged enough to handle aggressive towing and off-road maneuvers. We recently returned from a long road trip and it felt like we were staying at a 5-star hotel on wheels. The HVAC system is fantastic and the entertainment system was a big hit with both kids and adults. Even in areas with little or no AM/FM signal, the XM satellite radio kept us entertained. The navigation system and OnStar are both exceptional. Trust us, there is no need to consider an import when this SUV offers world-class comfort and quality. We absolutely love this vehicle!

I'm so glad to hear that you're satisfied with your new vehicle, even though you paid just about MSRP. It sounds like it has excellent looks, good, tight handling, and great fit and finish. While the interior finish could have been upgraded for a vehicle in this price range, it's great to hear that you're enjoying the unexpected pleasure of the satellite radio and that the OnStar system works very well with the integrated phone.

I own both a 2002 Escalade and a 2003 Escalade ESV, but I must say that I prefer the 02 model. In my opinion, the interior of the 03 feels a bit cheap and some of the features, such as the folding mirror button and on-star buttons, were moved to less convenient locations. Additionally, I noticed that they cut costs on the tailpipe. Personally, I think Cadillac should consider going back to the 02 interior. However, I am hopeful that the 04 model will be an improvement. I am looking forward to upgrading soon!

This vehicle was sold to me as Cadillac Certified with an extended warranty, but unfortunately the dealer did not honor their commitment. Despite this setback, I have found Cadillac to be a reliable and high-quality product. While I have had to bring the car in for warranty work five times in the last ten months, the issues have been minor and I am confident that the car will continue to perform well. Although the original warranty is set to expire soon, I remain optimistic about the vehicle's future performance. While it may lack some of the features of newer models, I still believe it is a good vehicle overall.

Overall, I think it's a nice vehicle, but I was hoping for more than just Cadillac emblems on a Suburban/Yukon XL. The 'Cadillac ride' doesn't seem to apply to the ESV.

The car's transmission has been experiencing issues, specifically a clunking sound when downshifting to a stop, despite the dealer claiming it is normal. This is not a normal occurrence in any car, including other Cadillacs I have owned. Additionally, the fuel economy is poor, with a combined city and highway mileage of only 12 MPG and requiring expensive high octane fuel. These issues are concerning, but can be addressed with proper attention and care.
