Common 2019 Audi Rs3 problems

Based on the information provided in the sources, here is a list of common problems with the Audi RS3 2019 based on complaints from owners:

  • Top Mounts Problems:
    • Many owners have reported knocking sounds from the top mounts, especially at the rear end. While Audi has not issued a recall for this part, it is recommended to inspect the RS3 for any top mount issues.
  • MAF Sensor Issues:
    • The Mass Airflow (MAF) sensor can be problematic, affecting the combustion process and engine power. Cleaning the MAF sensor can sometimes resolve the issue, but if not, replacement may be necessary.
  • Engine Problems:
    • Owners have experienced instances where the 5-cylinder turbocharged engine cuts off unexpectedly, which can be a serious safety concern. Additionally, the engine is known to consume oil quickly, especially during extended drives, emphasizing the need for regular maintenance.
  • Fuel Pump Concerns:
    • Both the RS3 and S3 models have faced issues with the fuel pump, leading to fuel supply interruptions or loss of power while driving. Addressing fuel pump problems promptly is crucial to avoid potential safety hazards on the road.

These common problems with the Audi RS3 2019 highlight the importance of regular maintenance and prompt attention to any emerging issues to ensure the optimal performance and safety of the vehicle.

What are the main problems with Audi RS3?

That said, the RS3 comes with its own faults. The most common issues are associated with the engine, fuel pump, and electronics issues with the top mounts and with the MAF sensor. Most of these issues can be corrected with timely and thorough maintenance before problems arise.

Is The Audi RS3 a reliable car?

The Audi RS3 is not a particularly problematic vehicle if regular maintenance has been done on the vehicle through the dealerships themselves. Any cost-saving measures taken by previous owners could result in you sitting with a problematic RS3, one that could possibly cost you dearly.

Is the RS3 a good daily car?

The Audi RS3 handled the task with ease, munching through motorway miles and carving through Normandy's tight and twisty B-roads with a smile on the face of all on board (especially mine). It's not only a brilliant daily driver, I thought, but an exceptional grand tourer, too.

Why is the Audi RS3 discontinued?

While the current RS3 has been around for a couple of years, Audi took it off sale entirely in early 2023 due to supply constraints, making its return highly anticipated. Final pricing won't come for a while yet, but expect a hike over the £50,900 starting price of the original.

AIR BAGS PROBLEM

  • Date Of Incident: 2021-03-22
  • VIN: WUABWGFF1KA
  • Components: AIR BAGS
  • Summary: My vehicle has the Audi recall 69BY that came out on March 22, 2021. There is currently still no remedy and its November 19th, 2021. Its been nearly 8 months. The pre-sense warning light and the airbag light are glaring on the dash at all times. Nobody can sit in the passenger seat as the airbag would not deploy in the event of a crash. I have to keep the passenger seatbelt fastened at all times with nobody sitting in the seat or else it dings nonstop. I am expecting my first child in Feb 2022 and would like to trade in my car for a more appropriate family sized car. But, with this open recall with no remedy, i cannot do that. I am stuck with no insight or timeframe for any solution. And its been nearly 8 months. This is unacceptable. Audi customer service has a 2-4 hour wait time every time i call, and the only option is for a call back, which i have yet to receive one. This issue would be minor if there was a timely fix, but with nearly 8 months passing and no remedy yet, this has turned into a major inconvenience in my life and its difficult to deal with knowing i cant do anything. and nobody has any information on when this will be fixed.
