Common 2023 Audi A4 allroad problems
The 2023 Audi A4 allroad is a luxury wagon that offers a blend of comfort, performance, and technology. However, like any vehicle, it may have certain issues that owners have reported. Here are some common problems based on complaints from owners:
- Lack of adjustable suspension: The 2023 A4 allroad does not offer adjustable suspension, which can make the ride feel stiffer compared to other models with adjustable suspension. This can be particularly noticeable in the S-line model, which is designed for sportier driving dynamics.
- Cup holder and storage issues: Some owners have expressed dissatisfaction with the cup holders and overall storage in the A4 allroad. This can be a concern for those who frequently carry drinks, snacks, or other items in their vehicle.
- Rearview camera issues: In 2022, there was a recall for problems with the rearview camera image not showing. This issue may have been resolved in the 2023 model, but it's worth checking to ensure the camera is functioning properly.
- Infotainment system: Some owners have reported issues with the infotainment system, including unresponsiveness and difficulty navigating through menus. This can be frustrating, especially during long drives or when trying to use the system for navigation or entertainment.
- Rear visibility: Some owners have expressed concerns about rear visibility, particularly when parking or reversing. This can be an issue for those who frequently drive in congested areas or have limited space for maneuvering.
- Fuel efficiency: While the A4 allroad is designed for efficiency, some owners have reported lower than expected fuel economy, particularly in real-world driving conditions. This can be a concern for those who prioritize fuel efficiency or have long commutes.
While these issues may be concerning, it's important to note that the 2023 Audi A4 allroad has a good track record for reliability, with only two recalls issued in 2022.

This is my second AllRoad! I'm so glad to hear that you're enjoying it. It's great to have a car that's both practical and sporty. It sounds like you've found the perfect balance between what you need and what you want in a car.

At just 51,000k, unfortunately, the steering rack started making a ratcheting noise. However, the dealership was kind enough to replace it out of warranty. Although it was a very expensive repair, the customer did not have to pay the full cost, which was a relief given the premature failure.

It would be great if Audi could create a model with the PDK transmission, the 350 6-cylinder engine, and no wind noise at freeway speed. Unfortunately, the RS4 Avant is not available in the US, but a more powerful Allroad with PDK transmission and quiet would be a great alternative. To ensure optimal performance, consider purchasing Michelin Super Sports for the summer and a second set of one-inch smaller winter wheels with Bridgestone Blizzack LM 1000 winter tires. With these modifications, you can have the perfect IC car.

This is my third allroad and I must say, I am a big fan! My first allroad was a 2001 A6 with the V6 bi-turbo. Although it had its fair share of issues, it was still a great car when it was running smoothly. I then upgraded to a 2015 allroad with a 2 liter turbo 4 engine, which was a significant improvement in terms of fuel efficiency and performance. However, my sales rep recently showed me the new A6 allroad, which was a bit out of my budget. Instead, I opted for the 2022 A4 allroad, which has been a great choice so far. The infotainment center is fantastic and easy to use, and the fuel efficiency is impressive, with 37 MPG on the interstate at 75 MPH. The acceleration is quick, and the suspension has four damping rates, making for a comfortable ride. The only downside is that due to the microchip shortage, I don't have access to blind spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, or foot-operated opening and closing of the luggage compartment lift gate. However, I hope these features will become available soon. Overall, the 2022 allroad is a fantastic car with ample cargo room, great performance, a comfortable ride, and good fuel efficiency. What's not to love?

It's a shame that the car drives so well and is extremely quiet, but unfortunately, the entire experience is ruined by a buggy infotainment system. The system takes 2-5 minutes to initialize, the navigation entry is worse than first-generation GPS circa 1990, and the results are not in order of distance. Additionally, the system never returns consistent results, has delayed button push, and completely forgets voice commands. It's disappointing that Audi put this out on the market. I'm only 3 months in and already looking to trade it in.

I did a test drive and unfortunately, it did not leave a good impression on me. The interior materials, especially on the doors, were not the best and had a lot of hard touch plastic. Even the sound of closing the door did not feel very solid. While I understand that it may not be a fair comparison, I have seen more solid interiors from the latest Honda products. In my opinion, BMW could improve on the solidity and quality of their interior materials to match their sleek exterior design.
