- Summary: Driving on the freeway. Going 65-70mph EPS (electric power steering) indicator light came on. A message was also sent in inbox of car stating code such as 32 and 61. Steering wheel became stiff and was difficult to steer when car not moving. Went to auto zone to check out if there was any code and there was none. I change to a new battery and check steering fuse everything seem fine with charging system. I did research and found out there was many vehicle like mine that have the same issue. Also, look at Acura forums and some said there was a recall with the EPS. Please help me figure out this issue. Thank you.

- Summary: Check engine Transmission ABS VSA TPMS All lights went on suddenly. While I was driving suddenly all lights came on dashboard. I’ve used OBD scanner to find the root cause but the problem can’t be detected. I went to Acura dealer in NJ and paid $250. They inspected, and said it could be this Instrument cluster or that ECu. But they did not said anything concrete what could be faulty. Both are expensive to replace around $2000-$4000 each The lights comes and goes. These lights are not persistent. I’ve been driving with it. Sometimes when the lights are on AC DOESNT WORK, steering loses control for a second. When it loses control car swerves. It’s dangerous but I’ve been driving with caution ️ In past, electric power steering was malfunction and I had it replaced for $1500. I will never purchase Acura or Honda for lifetime It should be recalled

- Summary: I first reported this on July 7, 2023 under NHTSA ID#11530893. My wife was driving when the Continental tire size 225/50/R17 suddenly blew out at approximately 70 MPH. Immediately pulled to shoulder of highway. This was a very tense moment at speed running on the rim to get immediately off the road. Fortunately there was no vehicles in neighboring lanes as we swerved and got out of harms way. Continental Tire dealer was contacted and shown the 2 pieces of separated tire. We were informed there is an open recall for tread separating from side wall of Continental Tires. Also informed that my DOT Tire identifier was not listed under the recall. No recourse was taken/offered by Continental dealer.

- Summary: 1. The rack and pinion steering rack is leaking power steering hydraulic fluid. The power assist is not working and the vehicle is undrivable. Putting in new fluid does not help as it just drains out from he pinion within half a day. 2. Luckily, the seals on the rack and pinion failed in the community as low speeds and power steering was lost. Drove back home. No one was hurt. Afraid to think of what would have happened if this had occurred at highway speeds. 3. Not yet confirmed by dealer as car needs towing, which costs money as closest dealer is quiet far away. But many reports of similar incidents across online communities for this vehicle, where folks had to shell out thousands to replace the entire rack and pinion system. The seals are sealed inside and cannot be serviced. 4. Component has not been removed from the car yet or inspected by anyone. Yet to be removed for replacement 5. There were no warning lights, sounds or indications of any kind. No warning of loss of hydraulic pressure or air in system. Just a weird whining noise began when negotiating a slow speed turn and within a minute, all fluid drained and all power assist was lost.

After driving my TSX for nearly 8000 miles, I have encountered several issues that have left me dissatisfied. The moonroof has been rattling, and although the dealership attempted to fix it, the issue has resurfaced. Additionally, the CD changer had to be replaced due to skipping, and the paint seems to chip easily. While the fuel economy is decent, the requirement for premium gas does add up. Although the initial power is just okay, the engine is smooth and handles well on the freeway. However, if I had to make the decision again, I would have chosen the Accord EXV6 coupe for its superior power and reliability.

It's so great to hear that you've had this car in your family since 2004! It's clear that you have a lot of love for this well-built Acura, and it's amazing that you've put over 50K miles on it yourself. It's a shame that the TSX hasn't maintained the same level of quality in its second generation models, but it's wonderful to hear that you have no complaints about your own car. With 104k miles on it, it sounds like you're taking great care of it and I hope it lasts all the way to 200K!

If you're looking for a car with a little more spunk than the average 4 banger sedan, you should definitely check out this car. It's one of the best kept secrets in the used car industry. Mechanics have told me that these cars have fewer problems than even similar Accords, partly because they are built in Japan and are true imports. In typical Honda fashion (of which I have had two previously), this car doesn't win any one contest, but what you get with Honda products is great balance and a 'Jack of all trades' mentality, plus excellent resale, reliability, and fuel economy. The zip and handling of this car are impressive for the low price I paid. It's not quite the sports car that the Infiniti G37 was that I test drove, but it will satisfy most. Fuel economy is 26 mpg mixed, which is right on target with estimates. Visibility is good as well. The tech package brings an awesome stereo with 10 speakers - I'd buy it for that reason alone. The navigation is 7 years old, so I don't even use it. I just use my phone. Seats are very firm, bordering on rock hard, but they contour well and seem to fit just right, and the leather is nice, along with overall interior materials. The silver console trim inside scratches easily, but otherwise, the interior is top-notch. I also love this car because there aren't 3-4 of them at any given intersection, like my previous vehicle. There's a bit of exclusivity that comes along with driving one. The only drawback is probably the back seat, which is very tight- no two ways about it. I've owned a VW Jetta and a 2010 Civic, both shorter cars, that had much better legroom in the rear.My Accord coupe was just as good, if not better. Luckily, there's plenty of space for the driver and front passenger. While it's not designed as a family car, it's perfect for those who want to be pampered. The ride can be a bit loud and harsh at times, but the excellent, go-kart-like handling more than makes up for it. Don't expect a plush, Lexus-like ride here though. If you're looking for that, you'll be disappointed. The Bluetooth music can disconnect at times, and the overall system is a bit primitive compared to newer cars. However, in a 2012 model, I'm just happy to have it at all, especially since many cars from that era still used aux inputs. Overall, as I mentioned earlier, if you can live with the few quirks, and want something a bit different, this is an excellent choice. If you're looking for something bigger, the TL has many of the same strengths in a larger package. I chose the TSX for budget reasons, and because I don't need or want a car that big. However, the TL is definitely worth considering. While I haven't had this car for long, based on the 10 or so other Honda products my family has owned, including a 2008 and 2011 TSX, I predict that issues will be few and far between, and regular maintenance will keep almost all of them at bay.

I've had around 20 new cars and just as many used ones in my life, but I can honestly say that I've never liked any of them as much as this one. I love its size, the quality of both the interior and exterior, the sound system, the handling, and the gas mileage of 25-35. I've been driving it for about 6 months and have already put 6,000 miles on it, but I haven't had any issues so far.

TSX is a great option for those who want all the features at an affordable price. However, if you are looking for a high-performance car, this may not be the best choice for you. While the car has 200hp, the power is mainly noticeable on the highway, and the 0-60 acceleration is quite slow. The 6MT option can help a little. On the bright side, the interior looks very nice and comfortable. Although some people have reported issues with rattling from the dashboard, door panels, and roof, it is still a great car overall. The stock speaker is not the best, but I replaced it with Alpine speakers, and the sound quality is much cleaner with less distortion. The gas mileage is not as high as advertised, but I still managed to get around 25 mpg. If given another chance, I would still choose the TSX.

The exterior side panels along the windshield of this car have defective clips that repeatedly come off. Despite the dealership claiming that I was the first to experience this issue three times, it appears to be a common problem. Additionally, I have noticed that the trunk and hood are very thin and light, causing them to vibrate at speeds between 60 and 70mph. The air conditioning system also seems to have a mind of its own, turning on high without any input. However, I agree with all other comments regarding the car's comfort, good road feel, and nice pick up. While the voice command feature needs improvement, the navi-lighting and paint quality also require attention as they show minor scratching too easily.

The car drives great, but unfortunately, the paint quality is not up to par. Acura has not been able to provide adequate support for this issue. If you are considering purchasing a red car, I would advise against it, as the paint may turn pink over time. Additionally, it is important to note that this car requires premium fuel, which can be more expensive than regular fuel. Overall, owning this car may be more costly than owning a Honda.

This vehicle has been back to the dealership multiple times for service, with issues such as noises, rattles, loose parts, and defective seat brackets. The door trim also experiences noises, creeks, and vibrations/rattles, which may indicate a design defect in the TSX design. Despite seven attempts, the problems have not been corrected, and the seats are wearing prematurely. It is disappointing to see a decline in Japanese quality. However, we can hope that Honda/Acura will take steps to improve their quality control processes.

Although I was initially impressed by the price/value of this car, I have unfortunately experienced numerous issues with it, including problems with the brakes, AC, stereo, and console lights. It appears that the car was not designed with affordability in mind when it comes to servicing. As a result, the total cost of ownership has been comparable to more expensive cars that I had considered, which come with better warranties. In hindsight, I should have opted for a BMW.
