The contact stated on 7/29/2022 while depressing the accelerator pedal, he lost control of the vehicle again. The contact knocked down a slim pole before depressing the brake pedal and shifting gears into Park to stop the vehicle. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The air bags did not deploy. The contact did not notify the police. The contact stated no one was injured nor sought medical attention. The contact was able to continue driving to his destination. THE CAR RUNS LIKE NEW IT WAS WELL TAKEN CARE OF WITH THE ORIGINAL OWNER ALL SERVICES AND INSPECTIONS WERE UP TO DATE AS/ CARFAX REPORT. THE CAR SINCE I'VE OWNED I PUT 19000 MILES WITH ALL SERVICE AND INSPECTIONS UP TO DATE SO THE VEHICLE HAS NOW 74000 MILES. 3 WEEKS AGO THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION STARTED TO SHIFT ROUGH. THE FLUIDS AND FILTER WERE REPLACED AT 60000 MILES SO ITS NOT THE FLUID THATS DIRTY. I TOOK IT TO 3 DIFFERENT MECHANICS INCLUDING MY STATE INSPECTION MECHANIC AND THEY TOLD ME THE TRANSMISSION NEEDS TO BE REPLACED BECAUSE IT'S STARTING TO GO BAD. I WAS ALSO TOLD THESE TRANSMISSIONS CAME FAULTY IN A LOT OF HONDA CARS AND HONDA WAS TO REPLACE THEM AT NO COST. - Summary: This vehicle was taken in for a recall for a corrosive ECM. 1 hour prior to taking this vehicle in my assigned service writer gave me a call, your vehicle is ready for pick up. I was advised due to their visual inspection of the ECM( Electronic control module)(electrical computer) not having corrosion, they will not change the unit but they have decided to replace the cover on the unit. I've filed a concerning complaint to Acura headquarters due to my knowledge of cars to have it on file what was told to me before receiving the vehicle. Due to my knowledge a faulty ECM can trigger numerous faults within the vehicles performance.Prior to bringing the vehicle to the dealership, I've been experiencing heavy misfires, poor radio connection, no interior lights and triggered headlights. I've replaced the necessary mechanics that would normal be the cause of these issues and the problem was still existing. The last option was the ECM,which fueled my search of a recall on these models for a faulty ECM. A few weeks later I've contacted another dealership in hopes they would take care of the problem, the representative was polite and reassured me the recall was suppose to be replaced with a new unit under manufacturer policy. However this could not be done because the previous dealer has marked the vehicle as a completed task. So I filed another complaint and have not received any further notice regarding my concern. A few weeks later I had the vehicle diagnosed and realized the ECM was never replaced nor removed out of the vehicle for inspection. Pictures and video where taken of this unit,as you can see the build up of dirt and dust from its original installment back in 2004. Later reading the review of that specific dealership, I've learned their has been numerous complaints regarding poor service at that locations service department.

- Summary: Power Steering Hose Leak. I took my vehicle in to have the oil changed and mechanics noticed a power steering leak. The mechanic looked up any recalls on my vehicle and noted this was a previous recall. Upon searching, 2010 there was a bulletin that went out, and the car was taken in 2010 and inspected and released. Upon further searching the other day there was a 2018 release and update of the same bulletin, which I never received. Regardless of it being inspected in 2010 and being cleared to drive, it seems this issue ultimately ended up happening, just now, instead of 2010. When I contacted Acura they said there are no current vin associated recalls on my vehicle. My issue is, just because it was 10 years ago w/no issue doesn’t mean the issue doesn’t exist today, which it does. I’ve gotten no help from Acura on this. - Summary: My headlights always flicker and turn off everytime i drive within 5 minutes of driving. it gets really bad when i drive in cold/wet weather and i’ve replaced the bulbs a good 5 times. Something is wrong with my suspension i think? my VSC and warning light always automatically come and stay on and my car makes a noise everytime i turn/reverse. My car continues to start smoking when i drive, especifically on hot days and multiple mechanics have said i have a severe oil leak/power steering leak and i’ve gone to 3 within the last 6 months. So i’m not sure what to do and i seen the recalls on all of the things i listed above for my model of car just not specifically for my vin number. please help.

THE TECHNICIAN THEN TOLD THE CONTACT THAT THE VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 13V093000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM) AND TOLD THE CONTACT TO CALL THAT MANUFACTURER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND STATED THAT THE USED ECU VOIDED THE RECALL. THE CONTACT WAS ALSO TOLD THAT THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN SERVICED BY AN ACURA DEALER SINCE 2012, TO WHICH THE CONTACT STATED THAT HIS SON TOOK THE VEHICLE TO AN UNKNOWN DEALER FOR NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 10V174000 (STEERING) AND NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 04V429000 (EXTERIOR LIGHTING) RECALL REPAIRS IN 2011 AND 2012 RESPECTIVELY. - Summary: THE PROBLEM: WHEN IT IS HOT THE CAR START LOSING POWER, AND VSA LIGHT COMES UP. THEN THE GAUGE CLUSTER START DOING INTERMITTENT SHUTDOWNS OF THE RPM AND SPEEDOMETER GAUGES. ADDITIONAL TO THAT, THE A/C SHUT DOWN AND BLOW HOT AIR. ACURA DIAGNOSTIC: JOHN EAGLE ACURA HAD THE CAR TO CHECK THE PROBLEM. DURING THE TEST IN HOT TEMPERATURE, THEY FOUND THERE IS A PROBLEM OF ECU COMMUNICATION IN THE F-CAN. THERE ARE 3 MAIN THINGS THAT COMMUNICATE WITH ECU THOUGH THE F-CAN: ONE IS THE GAUGE CLUSTER WHICH I REPLACED, THE SECOND WAS THE VSA MODULATOR WHICH WAS DISCONNECTED TO TEST, AND THE THIRD ONE WAS THE RADIO SYSTEM THAT WAS ALSO DISCONNECTED, AND THE RESULTS WERE THE SAME (DAMAGED). ACCORDING TO ACURA ENGINEERS, AFTER PROCEEDING WITH ALL THESE STEPS THE SOLUTION IS REPLACING ELECTRONIC CONTROL UNIT (ECU). ACURA FAKE RECALL: LAST DECEMBER I TOOK MY CAR TO AN ACURA DEALER BECAUSE THERE WAS A BULLETIN FOR A RECALL FOR ACURA TSX; THIS RECALL WAS ABOUT ECU CORROSION AND IT SPECIFICALLY SAY THAT IT IS GOING TO BE DETAILED CHECKED AND TESTED AND IF ANY PROBLEM WAS PRESENTED IT COULD ALSO BE REPLACED WITHOUT NO COST. WELL, WHAT THEY DID WAS PUT A PIECE OF PLASTIC COVER ON TOP OF THE ECU TO COVER THE CORROSION THAT THE ECU ALREADY HAD, AND 4 MONTH LATER THESE PROBLEMS COME UP. THEREFORE, I CALLED ACURA AND ASK THEM TO MAKE A FOLLOW UP OF THIS RECALL AND WHAT THEY ANSWER WAS THAT THE RECALL WAS ALREADY DONE, AND THEY CANNOT DO THE RECALL TWICE AND THAT THEY FEEL REALLY SORRY. CONCLUSION: ACURA DO NOT WANT TO ASSUME ANY RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR PROBLEMS AND THEY WANT TO STILL HIDING PROBLEMS THAT THEY HAVE WITH THEIR VEHICLES. PLEASE SEE ATTACHED ACURA DIAGNOSTIC. I WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE YOUR HELP IN THIS MATTER TO AVOID OTHER PERSONS GETTING THIS HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE.

IN THE DAYTIME OR DARK YOU CANNOT READ THE CLIMATE CONTROL OR RADIO CONTROL OR CLOCK DISPLAY. YOU CONSTANTLY FIDGET IN THE DARK TRYING TO SEE IF YOU'RE PRESSING THE PROPER BUTTON TO DEFROST WINDOWS OR TURN THE HEAT OR AIR ON. TAKING YOUR EYES OFF THE ROAD TO FIDGET WITH YOUR BROKEN RADIO IS THE SAME THING AS TAKING YOUR EYES OFF THE ROAD FOR A CELL PHONE. WHY IS THIS NOT A RECALL YET? - Summary: TAKATA AIRBAG: THE 2004 TSX ACURA SIDE AIRBAG INFLATED WHILE THE CAR PARKED. AS SOON AS MY SON ENTERED THE CAR HE SAID IT SOUNDED LIKE SOMEONE THREW A BRICK AT THE WINDOW. AND THEN THE AIRBAG DEFLATED HITTING HIM ON THE SIDE OF HIS FACE. IT FRIGHTENED HIM. HE DROVE IT TO KAREN RADLEY ACURA DEALERS AND THEY TOLD HIM IT WAS NOT A DEFECT. I SPOKE TO THE GENTLEMAN AND SAID IT HAD TO BE A DEFECT BECAUSE NOTHING CAUSED IT TO DEFLATE. I HAVE PICTURES TO SHOW THERE WAS NO IMPACT. THE DEALERSHIP WANT TO CHARGE ME $3100 FOR THE REPAIR WORK.

- Components: VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL:ACCELERATOR PEDAL
- Summary: Dorman Products, Inc. (Dorman) is recalling certain Accelerator Pedal Assemblies part numbers 699-114 and 825-5029-1, sold as replacement parts for 2003-2006 Acura MDX, 2004-2008 Acura TL and TSX, 2003-2007 Honda Accord, 2005-2006 Honda CR-V, 2007-2011 Honda Element, 2005-2008 Honda Pilot and 2006-2014 Honda Ridgeline vehicles. The rotating portion of the accelerator pedal assembly may bind. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 124, "Accelerator Control Systems."
- Consequence: If the accelerator pedal binds, the engine may not quickly return to idle after the pedal is no longer pressed, increasing the risk of a crash.
- Remedy: Dorman will notify owners, and qualified service facilities will replace the affected accelerator pedal assemblies, free of charge. The recall began December 9, 2019. Owners may contact Dorman customer service at 1-800-523-2492, using option 5. Dorman's number for this recall is AS1019XXXX.

- Summary: Honda is recalling certain model year 2004-2008 Acura TSX vehicles originally sold in, or currently registered in, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, Wisconsin and the District of Columbia. In states that use corrosive materials for deicing, driver's footwear may bring in materials that saturate the vehicle's carpeting, which is in contact with the vehicle's engine Electronic Control Unit (ECU). As a result, the ECU case may experience rust or corrosion. This damage may potentially cause the engine to stall.
- Consequence: A vehicle stall increases the risk of a crash.
- Remedy: Honda will notify owners and Acura dealers will inspect the vehicle and replace any damaged ECU, free of charge. All vehicles will have a waterproof cover installed onto the ECU, free of charge. The recall began during April 2013. Owners may contact Acura Client Relations at 1-800-382-2238 and select option 4 or go to www.recalls.acura.com.

- Consequence: OIL LEAKING ONTO A HOT EXHAUST PIPE WILL GENERATE SMOKE AND A BURNING SMELL, AND COULD POTENTIALLY RESULT IN AN UNDER HOOD FIRE.

- Consequence: A DAMAGED HARNESS CAN CAUSE A BLOWN FUSE, A SHORT CIRCUIT AND IT CAN RESULT IN A LOSS OF LICENSE PLATE LIGHTS, BACK-UP LIGHTS AND TAIL LIGHT FUNCTION. LOSS OF A TAIL LIGHT COULD REDUCE VISIBILITY AND INCREASE THE RISK OF A VEHICLE CRASH.
- Remedy: DEALERS WILL INSPECT THE HARNESS AND IF ANY DAMAGE IS FOUND, THE HARNESS WILL BE REPLACED. IF NO DAMAGE IS FOUND, DEALERS WILL INSTALL CORRUGATED PLASTIC TUBING OVER THE HARNESS TO PREVENT FUTURE DAMAGE. THE RECALL BEGAN ON SEPTEMBER 15, 2004. OWNERS SHOULD CONTACT HONDA AT 1-800-999-1009.

Great car! ACURA has a great reputation for reliability. While I like BM'rs, they can be quite costly to maintain and service. The same goes for Audi A4s, which are not as reliable as ACURAS.

I bought my car in May 2011 with only 50k miles on it. One year later, it has 70k miles and I still love it just as much as the day I bought it! It's incredibly comfortable on long road trips, has a good amount of power for a 4-cylinder (the manual is a blast!), and I've even gotten 33 mpg on the highway with it. The build quality is good, with the only exception being some very small buzzing/rattling, but even then it's only noticeable on I-5 which is a terrible and bumpy road anyways. I have owned my blue 6spd TSX for a few years now and, up until the last couple of months, everything has been fine except for the chipping paint which started shortly after purchase at over 20k miles. Unfortunately, Acura refused to fix it. Within the last 3 months, I have had to replace the rotators, pads, AC condenser, and now the clutch, totaling approximately $3500. Granted, my car does have 94k miles, but it is housed in the garage and well taken care of. I had expected to get over 100k miles before any major problems arose, but I have had 2 within a short time. I am gravely upset as I really wanted another Acura, but it has definitely made me think twice.

This is my first Acura and I absolutely love it! The car's performance is excellent, and the stereo sounds amazing. While I would have preferred more horsepower and a bit more sound from the twin pipes, overall I am very satisfied. The only thing I dislike is the chrome in the door handles and trims. It would be great if fog lights and a rear spoiler were standard equipment. Additionally, it would be helpful to have oil and battery meters.

I would like to recommend this vehicle, with the exception of the Milano Red color option. It seems that the paint on these cars, including the one owned by the author and many others according to various Acura forums, fades and turns pink over time. Despite being garage kept and regularly waxed, the color continues to deteriorate. While it is understandable that red paint may fade somewhat, this level of fading is excessive. Unfortunately, both Acura Canada and the dealer, Acura on Brant in Burlington, ON, were unhelpful in addressing this issue. Overall, the poor customer service experience leads me to not recommend purchasing an Acura vehicle from them.

In 2018, I purchased a 2004 TSX for $4000. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a terrible experience. After leaving the dealership, I felt like I had been taken advantage of. The car had numerous electrical and mechanical issues, including a malfunctioning horn, passenger window, radio, and charging port. The AC didn't work, and the cooling tank replacement didn't fix the issue. The car was a 6-speed, but 2nd gear constantly slipped out and scraped. There were also times when the car wouldn't start, and the wheel and starter would lock up, taking anywhere from 5 minutes to an hour to unlock and turn back on. While the VTECH was impressive, it wasn't worth the hassle. I strongly advise against purchasing this car. If you're interested in the model, consider a 2006 version instead.

The car has experienced a number of issues, including paint chips, rotor grooving, steering shake when braking, oil burning, and darkening oil color between changes. The light beige leather has faded in some spots and is susceptible to staining. Additionally, there is an alignment problem causing the car to drift. The fuel economy is also poor, with only around 250 miles per fill-up from a 4 cylinder engine. The car can also be bumpy on uneven roads.
