- Summary: I bought a new Toyota Corolla Hybrid 2022. The interior driver door pull handle is so bulging, hard, and sharp, dangerous, that it hurts my left leg resting against it. It has already caused bruises and horrible leg pain. I've owned 2 previous Corollas from 2005 to present, but nothing like this. Toyota needs to go back to previous models or copy Honda Civic. They should relocate the door pull handle and make it more safe. Cars should get better, not worse. See pictures attached. Other friends who own this car have similar issue ! I would Corolla Product Engineers tell me a good solution ,or how to relocate handle, or give compensation for local upholstery change.

I think this car looks much sportier than the Prius. I live in a big city in an apartment and there aren't many charging ports for cars in our parking garage. So, a hybrid was a great option for me to be environmentally friendly without having to worry about charging it. The Corolla is also small enough to fit in tight parking spots or make sharp turns. Although it's not the fastest at accelerating, once you reach your desired speed on the freeway, it coasts and is very quiet. I've been averaging 58 MPG since getting the car.

I purchased a brand new 2022 Corolla Hybrid with the intention of saving on gas and using it for my daily commute for at least 15 years. The EPA mileage of 52 combined was easily surpassed within the first two days of driving. I am now getting an impressive 70+ mpg on my commute, which includes a mix of city, freeway, hills, and bumper-to-bumper traffic. This car is perfect for my daily commute needs. The drive is incredibly smooth, both at take-off and at speed, and the handling is quick and light, making it ideal for its intended purpose. If you drive this car as it was designed to be driven, you can easily achieve 60+ mpg. I am extremely satisfied with this car, especially with gas prices ranging from $5-7/gallon. With 75mpg, I can travel about 700 miles on a single tank, even after the 'low fuel light' comes on. The hybrid system may not be suitable for those looking for a 'speed demon', but there are plenty of sporty cars to choose from. However, I have yet to come across any car, except for an EV or hybrid, that can achieve such high mpg, regardless of driving style. This car is highly responsive to driving style, but with gas prices at an all-time high, I can drive in the slow lane at the 65mph speed limit. Update: I have now driven 12600 miles on the car, and everything I mentioned above still holds true. The mild California winter weather has slightly reduced the mpg to about 67, but now that the weather is warmer, the mpg is back up to about 72. I have found that driving on the freeway at 55mph and above for long periods can maximize the mpg to the 60 range. At that speed, the engine runs about 75-80% of the time, leaving little time for 'EV' battery-only mode. However, as I mentioned earlier, I have never come across any car that can achieve even close to 60+ mpg, regardless of how I drive. There is one minor issue with the displayed MPG on the console, as it seems to always run about 3-5 MPG above the actual measured MPG during fill-up. I wish there was a way to 'calibrate' this to be more accurate. Overall, I am extremely pleased with this car.

Solid car! I've been pleasantly surprised by the gas mileage, which has been even better than the EPA numbers (I checked both at the pump and through math calculations). I've had it for almost a year now and have put 18k miles on it, and I'm happy to report that I haven't had any problems with it. I would definitely buy this car again. It's a purpose-built car, so if you're not looking for great gas mileage, very low emissions, and a low price, then it might not be the right fit for you.

I hope you continue to enjoy your Corolla Hybrid for many years to come!60-63 MPG mixed driving (20-50 MPH - conservative, slow starts, driving in town, short trips, country roads, some highway, hills and flat, some traffic) / 50 MPG highway driving (55-70 MPH, gas MPG goes down quite a bit when driving over 65 mph). Although there is a fair amount of road noise on rough roads (smooth paved roads are quiet) and wind noise at speeds over 55 MPH, the seat comfort is good (fine after a 5-hour straight highway drive), and there is plenty of leg/head room (I'm 6 ft). You can even play songs directly from a USB stick. The steering feel is great, and the fit/finish is impressive. The car also has automatic features such as auto headlight brights dimmer, cruise, cruise with auto traffic slowdown, lane assist, etc. In conclusion, this car is perfect if you live in an area with nice roads like CA. However, where I live in PA, the roads are bad and bumpy, and this car can get a bit agitating after a long drive. Nonetheless, you can't beat the gas mileage at 50-63 MPG. I love the fact that the engine automatically shuts off at a traffic signal and restarts with the electric motor.

I purchased my 2021 Toyota Corolla hybrid on January 21, 2021, and have driven 3k miles so far. The car runs perfectly and I absolutely love it. However, I have noticed some paint chipping on various parts of the car, including the back doors. As a result, I would rate it 3 stars. I bought the car from Dick Hannah in Kelso, Washington, and would recommend getting the extra layer of protection if you decide to purchase this car. It seems like I may need to get a new paint job for my car.

I had the opportunity to test drive this car before ordering online, and I have to say, it didn't meet my expectations. In my opinion, the price doesn't match the quality of the car. It may be a good option for a teenager or someone who's just starting out, but it didn't meet my needs. However, during our search for a new car, we came across the Hyundai Sonata, which is in the same price range as the Corolla. We were blown away by the quality, space, and overall driving experience of the Sonata. We ended up purchasing it and absolutely love it!
