This follows Toyota's naming tradition of using the crown name for primary models starting with the Toyota Crown (1955), continuing with the Toyota Corona (1957) and Corolla (1966); the Latin words for "crown" and "small crown", respectively. Maintaining this theme was the Toyota Tiara (1960) named after the "tiara" form of crown. The Atara trim level name used on the Camry in Australia since 2011 means "crown" in Hebrew. The rebadged Camry variant for Japan, the Toyota Scepter (1991)—took its name from "scepter", a royal accessory to a crown.

A short circuit may develop in the Occupant Classification System (OCS) sensor, preventing the front passenger air bag from deploying.
- Consequence: An air bag that does not deploy during a crash increases the risk of injury.
- Remedy: Dealers will inspect and replace the sensor as necessary, free of charge. Interim letters notifying owners of the safety risk were mailed February 2, 2024. A second notice will be mailed once the remedy is available. Multiple phases are planned through 2026. Owners may contact Toyota customer service at 1-800-331-4331. Toyota's number for this recall is 23TB15/23TA15 Lexus 23LB03/23LA03.

Hi there! I just wanted to share my experience with my 2022 Camry LE Hybrid. This is actually my fourth Camry Hybrid and I have to say, it's been the most economic one to own so far! In the 14 months that I've had it, I've put on less than 14,000 miles and my fuel economy in town or mixed driving has consistently been over 45 mpg, with hi-way mileage between 53 and 56 mpg. It's a really well-designed and comfortable car to ride or drive, although the blind spots can be a bit annoying. Unfortunately, since it's the LE, I didn't have a choice in that. The built-in garage door opener is also missing, but that's not a big deal for me. Overall, I think Toyota is a quality auto company and I'm actually considering the 2024 RAV4 Hybrid as a replacement for my other car. Thanks for listening!

The car has very little ground clearance, which is fine on a perfectly flat road. However, you might need to get out and push it over a speed bump to avoid damaging the front-end. Additionally, I have noticed some off-white spiders coming out of the vents since I bought it.

It's always nice to have a comfortable car, and it sounds like you're getting a decent amount of mileage out of your 12-gallon tank. I'm also impressed to hear that your previous car, a Kia Optima 13', lasted for 290,000 miles without any issues. That's quite an accomplishment!

The car was fine, but the screen quality in the car could be improved. Additionally, the grille seemed a bit plasticky, and the chair color and look could be improved, although they were comfortable. On the bright side, the trunk space was pretty big, and the car drove well. It was a smooth drive and maneuvered well.
