2012 Nissan Armada problems
The Nissan Armada (retrospectively referred to unofficially as the Nissan Pathfinder Armada) is a full-size SUV manufactured by Nissan for the North American market. From 2003 to 2015, the first-generation Armada was assembled in Canton, Mississippi based on the Nissan Titan. From mid-2016 onwards, the second-generation Armada has been built in Yukuhashi, Kyushu, Japan and shares the same platform as the Nissan Patrol, with American-specific modifications, and went on sale in late mid-2016 as a 2017 model. First generation (TA60; 2004)
The 2004 model Pathfinder Armada was unveiled on April 17, 2003, at the New York International Auto Show. Developed under Carlos Ghosn's NRP (Nissan Revival Plan), development was done in September 1999 to 2003 under lead designers Shiro Nakamura and Diane Allen and chief engineers Yuzo Sakita and Larry Dominique. In January 2001, a final exterior design by Giovanny Arroba had been approved by Sakita, Allen, Nakamura, and Nissan executive management, with the final design freeze being completed in July 2001. It is assigned the platform code TA60.
Prototypes based on the Y61 Patrol were hand-assembled as mules from 2001, with the first TA60-specific prototypes being completed and sent to testing in early 2002. Design patents were filed in 2003, with production starting on August 14, 2003, and going on sale on October 1, 2003.
The Armada had a 5.6 L VK56DE V8 engine that made 305 hp (227 kW) and 385 lb⋅ft (522 N⋅m) of torque. This was mated to a 5-speed automatic transmission, and the Armada had a choice of either rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive. There are some Armadas that are capable of using E85. It has a towing capacity of up to 9,000 lb (4,000 kg).
The rear door handles are installed on the "C" pillar as part of a Nissan design tradition that started with the 1986 Nissan Pathfinder. When the four-door Pathfinder was introduced, Nissan chose to conceal the door handles as a part of the "C" pillar trim to visually make it appear like a two-door truck with a camper shell, with conventional door handles on the front doors.
The switch to the Armada name occurred in September 2004 for the 2005 model year, where it received new badges without "Pathfinder." The 2005 model year also included a backup camera.

I have been driving my Armada for a few months now and I must say, comfort was a big deciding factor for me due to my back and hip problems. I am happy to report that it is incredibly comfortable and spacious. However, I have noticed that the voice recognition system is not very accurate, which can be frustrating when trying to get it to recognize street names and cities. On the bright side, the automatic 3rd row buttons are a great feature, especially since I have had 2 back surgeries. My only other concern is the gas mileage, or lack thereof, which is quite disappointing.

These are fantastic vehicles, and you can get into them for much less than you would expect. I took one as a rental unit on vacation with the family, and afterwards I started looking for a good used one. It was perfect for the six of us.

have have had volvos and other expensive cars but this SUV beats them all.Best ride, gas mileage 17.8 right now - hopefully will get to 18 and if not, I am okay with that.We take it to the beach and load it down and it still gets 17.8.Love Nissans!!!!!!

Before buying my SUV, I did a lot of research and looked into various options. Like another reviewer, I was not impressed with GM's prior SUVs and the fact that they required a bailout. However, at the Texas State Fair, I came across the 2010 Armada and was blown away by how awesome it looked. I ended up purchasing the Titanium package with DVD, which includes leather and many other upgrades over the base model, for a total price of 37.7k out the door. Thanks to Nissan's cash incentives, I was able to get a great deal. This SUV has Bluetooth for phones, an iPod jack, a DVD player with wireless headphones, backup sensors and camera, a road computer, and plenty of storage. Despite its weight, the acceleration, steering feel, handling, and braking are all impressive. It's truly an awesome vehicle!

The Nissan Armada 2012 is very reliable for hauling and carrying loads. It can also drive long distances without any problems. This car definitely deserves a 5-star rating.

In 2012, I purchased a Nissan Armada SV which unfortunately required 5 visits to the shop. During the first 5 months, the front wheel control arms had to be replaced due to pulling to the right. While the issue was being diagnosed by the technician at Baker Nissan South Houston, there was a misunderstanding and the right front tire was inflated to 45psi instead of fixing the control arm. Fortunately, I discovered the issue before the tire could blow and cause a serious accident in the hot Houston summer. It was a concerning situation, but I am glad that it was resolved.

Hello! I hope you're doing well. I wanted to share my experience with the 2010 Armada. As someone who previously owned a 2006 model, I had high expectations for the newer version. Unfortunately, I was a bit disappointed. While I appreciate the Platinum model's folding mirror option, I do wish it was available on the Titanium models as well. Additionally, I found the instrument cluster redesign to be a bit difficult to read, with the speedometer being off to the right. The Sound/Nav system could also use some improvement. After driving 3000 miles, I noticed some sounds coming from the chassis when going over speed bumps, which was not something I experienced with my '06 model. While there were some problems with transmissions, control arms, fuel pumps, exhaust issues/catalytic converter codes, AC pumps, DVD players, radios, and OS failures, I'm still hopeful that Nissan will continue to improve their vehicles. I did have some concerns about the black trucks with black interiors, but I'm sure Nissan has their reasons for producing them. Personally, I prefer a lighter interior. While my previous Ford Expedition was more reliable and cost less to operate, I'm still happy with my Armada. I'm not a huge fan of the rear suspension, but I understand that it's an attempt to create a second layer of road shock absorption. Unfortunately, the execution of the idea could be improved. My radio has been a bit of a problem, but I'm sure it's just a programming issue. Overall, there were some annoyances, but I'm still satisfied with my purchase and would recommend Nissan to others. I love almost everything about this product, but I have some concerns about the navigation, suspension, and the dark dashboard during daylight driving. Unfortunately, the suspension is not as smooth as I would like it to be, and I can feel every bump and pothole on the road. Additionally, the navigation system does not work while driving, which can be frustrating when trying to set up an address or entertain passengers. It requires you to stop, put the car in park, and engage the handbrake in order to operate. This can be inconvenient and potentially unsafe, especially when travelling with children. However, I still believe that this product is a great value for the money.
