Mitsubishi Endeavor problems

The Mitsubishi Endeavor is a mid-size crossover SUV built by Mitsubishi Motors at their manufacturing facility in Normal, Illinois from 2003 until 2011. Based on the PS platform, it was the first vehicle built under Mitsubishi's "Project America", a program aimed at introducing vehicles for North America without having to compromise for, or accommodate, global markets.
Design
Its design origins can be traced back to the Mitsubishi SSU which debuted at the 1999 North American International Auto Show, although the Endeavor does not share the concept's mechanical underpinnings. The prototype was powered by a 305 hp (227 kW) version of the 6A13TT 2.5-liter twin-turbo V6, which directed the power to a full-time all-wheel drive system through its INVECS-II five-speed automatic transmission and AYC. When the Endeavor debuted in March 2003, it used the 6G75 3.8-liter V6 offering 215 hp (160 kW) and 250 lb⋅ft (339 N⋅m), mated to a four-speed automatic transmission with an optional all-wheel-drive system that splits the torque 50/50 by default.
Despite some reasonably favorable reviews on its release, the Endeavor's performance in the marketplace failed to meet Mitsubishi's expectations. On its release in March 2003 the company aimed for 80,000 annual sales but had achieved only 32,054 by the end of its debut year, and sales fell every year thereafter.

The car has been performing flawlessly since the beginning and many people have said that it can easily go up to 200K. The only issue that I have heard of is a clogged A/C drain that backs up into the cab, which can be a costly $1,200 fix. However, a simple coat hanger or air gun up into the drain can easily solve the problem. Overall, this car is very easy to maintain and inexpensive to fix.

We've had the Endeavor for a year and we're very pleased with it. We use regular gas without any issues and it averages 19-20 MPG, which is better than my Honda Pilot EX. While the build quality isn't quite up to Honda standards yet, we're still happy with our purchase.

I really enjoyed the 2005 Toyota 4-Runner (I had a '95 4-Runner before), but I didn't want to pay for all of the extra upgrades (sunroof, 6-cd changer, leather) on the SR5 or Sport Edition, and I wasn't willing to pay for the Limited. The Endeavor had everything I wanted and more, plus the added 0% APR deal. It was an easy choice! Although I still prefer the exterior of the Toyota, I wouldn't trade my heated seats, steering wheel audio controls, and other bells & whistles for anything now! In terms of value, I definitely feel like I got the biggest bang for my buck. Overall, I am extremely satisfied.

I hope you're doing well! I wanted to share my experience with my Endeavor SE, which I purchased two months ago after trying out several SUVs and doing my homework. I must say, I made the right choice! For the money, I couldn't find a better deal. The Endeavor SE has great looks, a terrific stereo, and plenty of room for everything. The torque and performance are also impressive, not to mention the great warranty. I opted for just about every available option, and I plan to keep it for a long time. The navigation system could be improved by mentioning street names like the Gremlin and talking less, but that's a minor issue. I did receive a 2005 DVD navigation disc instead of a 2007 or 2008 version, so I'll have to give them a call. When I folded the back seats, I had enough room for several 6-foot-long picnic tables inside, and I could still close the hatch. My girlfriend loves it too! Thanks for listening.

As a loyal GM owner, I have to admit that when we began researching new cars to replace our GMC Yukon, Mitsubishi was not high on our list. However, after a couple of weeks of searching, we found that Mitsubishi had a generous factory rebate and decided to give the Endeavor a test drive. We were pleasantly surprised by the handling and lively engine performance. As parents with two children, we were initially concerned about interior room, since we were used to the spacious interior of our Yukon. However, we were delighted to find that we all piled in with plenty of room to spare, and the large cargo area had sufficient space for our large stroller and many other 'must haves'. We were so impressed that we took it home that day.

I've had my Mitsubishi Endeavor for about five months now. While I wasn't informed that it requires premium gas, which I'm not thrilled about, I've had some issues with it. Unfortunately, my air conditioner drain clogged and flooded the front passenger floorboard due to a design flaw that requires the whole motor to be taken out to fix. The dealership and corporate office have informed me that this isn't covered under warranty, and it's going to cost around $1,000 to correct. Additionally, I've noticed some chips in the paint from touchless carwashes. While I'm not a fan of these issues, I'm hopeful that I can find a solution. I appreciate your time and attention to this matter.

I've owned this car for about a year and a half now. I bought this 2008 Mitsubishi Endeavor SE in the beginning of my junior year of high school and it was great at first. However, later in the first year, it started giving me problems and I had to take it to the mechanics frequently, which was quite costly. The first repair was for the engine itself and then the shocks needed to be replaced a good number of times. Some people might say it's because of driving habits, but I beg to differ. I don't drive crazy or too rough and I don't take it off-road for it to even need shocks often. I'm not saying it's a bad car, it's just that it can become costly to maintain later on, especially for an older model. However, this may not happen to every driver.

Front seats could use more padding. Needs automatic headlamp option available. No electronic fuel economy or distance to empty available option available. Could use memory seats/mirrors. This was our trade-up from a Grand Cherokee LTD, and aside from what I mentioned, I just love the vehicle.

Vehicle year: 2008
The car has many pros, including being comfortable on long distances, having good power and acceleration, providing ample storage, and having a nice appearance. It is also great for families. Additionally, both front seats have hard-plastic backs, making them durable if you have kids who constantly put their feet on them. However, there are a few cons to consider. The liftgate is unnecessarily heavy, and the jack is hard to get to if you have a car seat. In terms of mechanical issues, the A/C compressor had to be replaced under warranty, and the battery had to be replaced twice (also under warranty). There continue to be issues with a short circuit on the driver's side brakelight, and the engine requires premium fuel but still knocks and pings at times. Overall, this is a friendly reminder to consider all aspects of the car before making a purchase.
