The Mitsubishi Endeavor is a mid-size crossover SUV built by Mitsubishi Motors at their manufacturing facility in Normal, Illinois from 2003 until 2011. Based on the PS platform, it was the first vehicle built under Mitsubishi's "Project America", a program aimed at introducing vehicles for North America without having to compromise for, or accommodate, global markets.
Design
Its design origins can be traced back to the Mitsubishi SSU which debuted at the 1999 North American International Auto Show, although the Endeavor does not share the concept's mechanical underpinnings. The prototype was powered by a 305 hp (227 kW) version of the 6A13TT 2.5-liter twin-turbo V6, which directed the power to a full-time all-wheel drive system through its INVECS-II five-speed automatic transmission and AYC. When the Endeavor debuted in March 2003, it used the 6G75 3.8-liter V6 offering 215 hp (160 kW) and 250 lb⋅ft (339 N⋅m), mated to a four-speed automatic transmission with an optional all-wheel-drive system that splits the torque 50/50 by default.
Despite some reasonably favorable reviews on its release, the Endeavor's performance in the marketplace failed to meet Mitsubishi's expectations. On its release in March 2003 the company aimed for 80,000 annual sales but had achieved only 32,054 by the end of its debut year, and sales fell every year thereafter.

After repeated use of the defroster heating up the window and cooling down the elements in the glass contracted and expanded and shattered the back window spontaneously causing an over $600 repair. There was no prior damage and no other possible causation that occurred for this and the vehicle window repair specialist looked at it and determined to that the fracture line was caused by these elements embedded in the glass this needs to be investigated

After an auto accident that made it difficult for me to get in and out of a truck on a daily basis, I was pushed into purchasing an SUV. I am happy to say that I made the right choice. The Endeavor has great cargo space and ground clearance, and it also offers great fuel mileage. Although the seats could be a little more comfortable, I am overall very satisfied with my purchase.

I hope you had a great time test driving different SUVs! I wanted to share my experience with the Endeavor. It's a fantastic vehicle that is often overlooked, but it's definitely worth considering. The interior is spacious and comfortable, with plenty of leg room and cargo space. The engine is surprisingly powerful, and the auto-stick is a great feature. Additionally, there are plenty of storage pockets and four cup holders up front. Overall, I highly recommend the Endeavor!

Hi there! I hope you're doing well. I wanted to share my experience with my Endeavor that I bought used in 2010 with 90,000 miles. I was looking for more room and it definitely delivered on that front! However, I did have a few issues with it. The heater blower motor started to make a bit of noise right away, but with a bit of work, I was able to get it replaced and now I'm nice and toasty in the winter. Unfortunately, the AC doesn't work at all and I'll need to replace the compressor. Additionally, I had to replace the tires, brakes, and bearings, which was a bit pricey. Despite these issues, I still enjoy driving it. I used to have a 2005 Nissan Pathfinder, which was my all-time favorite car, but the Endeavor has definitely grown on me. Thanks for listening!

I purchased this car new in 07, and for the six years I was making payments on it there were few problems. At age six it began to methodically fall apart. The engine has had few issues, but the window systems will break and fail within 6-7 years after purchase, especially the rear windows. If you have a sun roof, DO NOT USE IT or you’ll be sorry like me, it will break in the open position and it will cost 2K to fix. I suspect I have no trade in value with this car, just in the past 6 months, this year alone I’ve spent 4K on this car just trying to keep the water from coming up through the driver’s side floor. Yeah, you see, Mitsubishi put their A/C evap tank in so that the entire dash has to be taken apart and removed to get to it. Mitsubishi did send out an advisory but not a recall. I suspect Mitsubishi’s reasoning for that is that there were not enough people complaining of this to justify a class action law suit so their position is [non-permissible content removed] You. Another thing I’ve been noticing is that you don’t see any Endeavors as old as mine on the road any more I wonder why…

I strongly advise against purchasing this model of vehicle. Despite having owned it for three years and acquiring it with relatively low mileage, I have experienced numerous issues with its performance in inclement weather and have had to make frequent trips to the mechanic for electronic and construction-related problems. Even with brand new tires, driving on anything other than a clean, dry roadway is akin to ice skating. The consistent issues with this car have led me to conclude that it is a lemon.
