2007 Lincoln Mark lt problems

lincoln logo

The Lincoln Mark LT is a luxury pickup truck manufactured and marketed by Ford's Lincoln division. Having gone on sale in January 2005 for the 2006 model year, the Mark LT was essentially a badge engineered, luxury-trimmed variant of the Ford F-150 truck — and a successor to the failed 2002-only Lincoln Blackwood. The Mark LT was manufactured at Ford's River Rouge Plant in Dearborn, Michigan, and at the Ford Cuautitlan plant in Cuautitlán, Mexico, on the same lines as the closely related Ford F-150.

The Mark LT is based on the Ford F-150 pickup truck. It uses the same 330-cubic-inch, 300 hp (224 kW; 304 PS) 5.4 L Triton V8 and has four doors. The Mark LT also had optional all-wheel drive.

Lincoln had hoped to sell 13,000 Mark LT's annually in the United States. The Mark LT was more successful than the Blackwood in its first year of sales with 10,274 sold in the first calendar year of sales (February 2005 through February 2006). The 2006 Mark LT outsold the Cadillac Escalade EXT, but the 2007 EXT gained on the Mark LT's sales consistently. After disappointing sales, the Mark LT was cancelled in the United States and Canada after the first generation, but a second generation was sold in Mexico where it was often the Lincoln Division's best selling model.

Negative 2007 Lincoln Mark lt car reviews

  1. Ahmad Cartwright 2025-07-01

I'm glad to hear that you decided on the Mark Lt after test driving many trucks. It's great that you were able to find the luxury features you were looking for. Although it's based on the 150, it's still a good truck and the luxury package makes it even better. The monochrome package and all the features, except for the rear dvd, make for a fantastic driving experience on the road. However, I understand that the size can make it difficult for short shopping trips. I had a similar experience with my 05 Tacoma, which was a great truck but too basic. The Mark Lt's looks are stellar and the ride height is awesome. The luxury features are the best available and, in my opinion, Ford is the Mercedes of the truck category. If you're looking for more luxury features, looks, and exclusivity than the F-150, then the Mark Lt is definitely worth considering.

  2. Stefan Cormier 2025-06-25

I hope you're doing well! I wanted to share my experience with my truck. I purchased it from a dealer with only 12,000 miles on it and it rides great! Although I haven't had the chance to tow anything with it yet, I'm confident it will perform well. It's a beautiful truck, but there are a few issues that I think should be addressed. The chrome rocker panels are a bit wavy and the driver's seat is showing some signs of wear and tear, even though it only has 13,100 miles on it. Additionally, the shifter feels a bit cheap and the gas mileage isn't great, averaging around 12-13mpg. The touch screen for the radio and navigation can be a bit difficult to navigate, and there are no rear air controls. However, I do want to note that the brake dust is comparable to that of Mercedes and BMW. Overall, I think this truck has a lot of potential and I'm excited to see how it performs in the long run!

  3. Russel Greenholt 2025-05-20

I purchased the truck from the dealer with 36K miles on it and it ran great for a month. Unfortunately, after that, it started to experience a lot of issues. After a year and a settlement from Ford, which I was surprised to receive for a used truck, the transmission, rear end, and tie-rods were all shot. Additionally, it leaks water and the roof rattles. The dealer quoted me 7K to fix everything, which is a lot considering the truck only has 54K miles! Despite its great looks, it's been difficult to enjoy since it's been in and out of the shop so much.

  4. Coleman O'Hara 2025-05-18

The dealer I worked with was fantastic. The truck is a beautiful burgundy color and receives many compliments. Although I have experienced some issues with the air conditioning not blowing cold at idle and a lack of power, the local dealer attempted to resolve the issue by resetting the computer code. While the air conditioning works most of the time, the power and gas mileage are still not up to par. It feels more like an F-150 with some added chrome than a true Lincoln. However, for those who appreciate the name and appearance, it is still a great option.

  5. Ansel Murray 2025-05-08

This truck is absolutely beautiful. If you're in search of a pickup that can haul just about anything, this is the one for you. I looked at the Titan and Ram first, but I found this one to be the best. The interior is simply wonderful. If you're in search of a top-notch truck, this is the one for you!

Positive 2007 Lincoln Mark lt car reviews

  1. Timothy Bosco 2025-07-11

I completely agree with you, True Lincoln! I have owned many Ford and Chevy trucks in the past, but this is my first Lincoln and it was actually an accidental purchase. I was originally in the market for an F-150 Lariat, but after adding all the options I wanted, this truck ended up being $3,000 cheaper and was already on the dealer's floor. I now have about 33,000 miles on it and it still looks and feels brand new. The comfort level is just as good as my brother's $75k Mercedes and the fit and finish is definitely a cut above the F-150. I have not experienced any problems with it so far. The only downside is the gas mileage, but that's to be expected with such a big vehicle. I'm currently averaging 12mpg, which isn't great with gas prices at $4.20 a gallon, but it performs great and is perfect for long trips. I absolutely love stepping on the gas and letting the horses loose! I would definitely buy this truck again and plan on keeping it until it dies!

  2. Ulises Walsh 2025-06-04

After owning five Ford pickups, I decided to take the logical step up to the Mark LT. As nice as the Lariat and King Ranch Fords are, Lincoln takes it up another notch. On the open road, it is nearly as comfortable as my 2004 Town Car and/or the 2000 Navigator I had before that. I appreciate the fact that it's based on the F150 because it is a tried and proven vehicle yet offers a more luxurious ride than my previous trucks. It's definitely a keeper!

  3. Antwon Gusikowski 2025-05-24

The Lincoln Mark LT truck is a truly elegant version of the F-150 Lariat. It drives like a luxury SUV, with absolutely no 'trucky' feel, making you forget that you're driving a pickup. The engine is smooth, strong, and throaty, while the transmission shifts seamlessly during cruising. The body fit and finish are impressive, and the stereo pumps out great sound. The shortbed has generous cargo space and extends to 8-ft with the tailgate down. Although there's lots of plastic on the dashboard, it's tastefully done and durable. The Lincoln trim makes it more mature and sophisticated than an F-150. However, it's worth noting that the leather may be a bit delicate, and the rear seat backrest is too straight up. Additionally, there's no significant difference between this and an F-150 Lariat, which sells for $6,000 cheaper.

  4. Hugh Hermann 2025-05-14

This is definitely the best truck I have ever seen (and I live in San Antonio, TX). It gets comments everywhere I go. The power and fuel mileage are extremely good for a truck this large. There is plenty of room inside and out for how I would use a truck. Even the kids are impressed with the stereo -- the subwoofer will make the cars around you shake. The real wood trim is so smooth, you have to look twice to realize what they are. The chrome running boards look great with the rest of the truck and are very functional with the rubber inserts.

  5. Jocelyn Gusikowski 2025-05-02

Yes, all in all, it's a glorified F-150, but I absolutely love it! The menacing grill is just unstoppable. I always get compliments from strangers on this truck. It has everything you could want - function, luxury, and a touch of American gaudiness (depending on how much chrome you add).
