2007 Lincoln Mark lt problems
The Lincoln Mark LT is a luxury pickup truck manufactured and marketed by Ford's Lincoln division. Having gone on sale in January 2005 for the 2006 model year, the Mark LT was essentially a badge engineered, luxury-trimmed variant of the Ford F-150 truck — and a successor to the failed 2002-only Lincoln Blackwood. The Mark LT was manufactured at Ford's River Rouge Plant in Dearborn, Michigan, and at the Ford Cuautitlan plant in Cuautitlán, Mexico, on the same lines as the closely related Ford F-150.
The Mark LT is based on the Ford F-150 pickup truck. It uses the same 330-cubic-inch, 300 hp (224 kW; 304 PS) 5.4 L Triton V8 and has four doors. The Mark LT also had optional all-wheel drive.
Lincoln had hoped to sell 13,000 Mark LT's annually in the United States. The Mark LT was more successful than the Blackwood in its first year of sales with 10,274 sold in the first calendar year of sales (February 2005 through February 2006). The 2006 Mark LT outsold the Cadillac Escalade EXT, but the 2007 EXT gained on the Mark LT's sales consistently. After disappointing sales, the Mark LT was cancelled in the United States and Canada after the first generation, but a second generation was sold in Mexico where it was often the Lincoln Division's best selling model.

IF YOU SHUT THE OVER DRIVE OFF PROBLEM IS FIXED BUT YOU CAN'T DRIVE OVER 55 WITHOUT TOASTING THE MOTOR AND USING A HUGE AMOUNT OF FUEL. IT APPEARS THIS HAPPENS VERY FREQUENTLY. THIS SHOULD BE A RECALL ISSUE. HTTP://M.CARCOMPLAINTS.COM/FORD/F-150/2004/TRANSMISSION/NO_OVERDRIVE.SHTML

I hope you're doing well! I just wanted to share my experience with my truck. I bought it new and, other than regular maintenance, I only had to take it to the dealer once for rotors at 7K. Overall, I'm very happy with it, even though I'm not the gentlest driver. The only downside is that it's not the most fuel-efficient, as I'm only getting 9.5 mpg in this heatwave. Take care!

Looks great and drives very well! It pulls a fully loaded trailer with ease.

Great job Lincoln! Your excellent workmanship has made my experience with my new 2006 Mark LT truly enjoyable. I am extremely impressed with this vehicle and the value it represents. Although this is my first experience with Lincoln, I have owned several Cadillacs, and I must say that this luxury vehicle is tight, quiet, and a pleasure to drive. I first discovered the Mark LT on Lincoln's website, where I was able to view 360-degree angles and even simulate driving it. A few days later, I saw one driving down the road, and hours later, I was driving one off the lot. That was two months ago, and I still thoroughly enjoy driving this vehicle every chance I get.

This is definitely a Guy car, very cool interior, good engine, great gas mileage for being a V8. Awesome sound system. Owners will definitely be happy with this truck, unlike the Blackwood. It is meant to be what it is, a very good-looking F150-like truck, except with tons of class.

We picked up our new Lincoln LT on August 1st. My husband works in skilled trades at the Rouge Truck Plant and as soon as he saw it, he knew we had to upgrade from our F150 for this lease term. The price and incentives for employees were great, so we took advantage of them. We even had some add-on steps installed, which only add to the truck's already impressive appearance. They have very visible chrome and make it pop even more. We tow a 7200 lb trailer and the difference between the F150 and the Lincoln LT is night and day. There's no shaking and no strain on the engine, just a smooth and luxurious tow ride. Even without towing anything, the Lincoln ride is great, as expected, but now it's a truck! This truck turns heads and everyone smiles at it. It's definitely not your usual blah F150.

I recently traded in my Cadillac Escalade for the new LT. While I've been enjoying the vehicle, I must say that I was a bit disappointed with some aspects of the Lincoln. The interior doesn't quite match up to the Cadillac's, and I was surprised to find that there's no navigation system offered. Additionally, the sound system is quite basic, and there's only one 12v power source. I've also noticed some rattling in the back seat, and I do miss the wood steering wheel. Overall, it feels like a bit of a missed opportunity for Lincoln. However, I'm still enjoying the vehicle and appreciate the extra features it does offer.

I've had this vehicle for a week now and I've noticed a few things that Lincoln could have improved on the Mark LT. Firstly, there's not much storage space, making it difficult to fit in essentials like a first aid kit or jumper cables. Additionally, the rear seats don't fold down, and while they do fold up, there's no storage space underneath. The radio's CD player also requires manual intervention to shuffle songs. The odometer doesn't display tenths of a mile, which can be inconvenient. The memory seats don't adjust the mirrors, and the lumbar support is manual instead of push-button. There's also no light under the hood, and the hood latch isn't very user-friendly. The plastic-like grill is flimsy, and the black running boards show dirt and dust easily. It would have been better if they were chrome with Lincoln inserts. Overall, these are just a few things that could have been improved to make the Mark LT more user-friendly and designer chic.

I have noticed some issues with the vehicle since purchasing it 4 months ago. However, I am confident in the quality of the vehicle and believe that these issues can be resolved. The steering column and trim pieces have been replaced, and I am working with the dealers to address the tire balancing. While there are some areas of the interior that could be improved, I am impressed with the overall performance and handling of the vehicle. I believe that with proper maintenance, this vehicle will continue to exceed my expectations.
