2023 Infiniti Q50 problems
The Infiniti Q50 is a compact executive car manufactured by Nissan for its luxury brand, Infiniti. Replacing the G/Q40 sedan, it debuted at the 2013 North American International Auto Show and went on sale in North America in the third quarter 2013 and in Europe in fourth quarter 2013. It is the export model of the Japanese domestic market's V37 Nissan Skyline.
The design of the Q50 continues to follow the designs first shown by the 2009 Infiniti Essence concept and the production 2011 Infiniti M. The Q50 is also the first instance of a hybrid model in Infiniti's entry-level model but was later removed for the 2019 model year.
First generation
Q50 sedan (2013–)
The design was based on Infiniti Essence (crescent-cut C-pillar, deep body section, asymmetrical cabin layout, interior finishes) and Infiniti Etherea (headlights, three-dimensional double-arch grille, interior finishes). The production Q50 design was frozen in June 2011, after being designed by Joel Baek under Shiro Nakamura.
The Q50 sedan was unveiled at the 2013 North American International Auto Show, followed by the 2013 Canadian International AutoShow, 2013 Geneva Motor Show (with Hybrid and 2.2d), 2013 Dubai International Motor Show, Auto Guangzhou Motor Show in China (with 2.0-liter (214PS) turbocharged engine from Daimler AG (Mercedes-Benz)), and Victoria Harbour in Hong Kong.
Early US and Canada models include 3.7-liter V6 (333PS), 3.5-liter Hybrid (364 PS), each in a choice of rear-wheel drive or Intelligent All-Wheel Drive and in a selection of trim levels, including Sport models.
US models went on sale in August 2013.
Early Canadian models include 3.7-liter V6 (Q50 RWD, Q50 Sport RWD, Q50 Premium AWD, Q50 Premium AWD Navi, Q50 Premium AWD Navi and Deluxe Touring and Tech, Q50 Sport AWD, Q50 Sport AWD Deluxe Touring and Tech) and 3.5-liter Hybrid (Q50 Hybrid Premium RWD, Q50 Hybrid Premium AWD, Q50 Hybrid Sport AWD).
The early European models included 2.2d and hybrid. Infiniti's 2.0 RWD (211 PS) model was added in 2014.
In China the 2014 Q50 3.7L was sold as an imported vehicle until production in China could begin. The 2.0 RWD (211 PS) model and the Q50 Hybrid also joined the line up.
Middle East models was set to go on sale in spring 2014 as 2014 model year vehicles. Early models include 3.7-liter V6 and 3.5-liter Hybrid, both in rear-wheel drive.
Australian models went on sale in February 2014, launching with the 2.2d diesel and 3.5 gasoline hybrid models.
Hong Kong models went on sale as 2014 model year vehicles.

- Summary: My vehicle was stolen by theives using some kind of device to gain access because I have both key fobs that came with the vehicle but somehow they were able to gain access and start it and drive off. I believe this is a security and safety concern for Infiniti vehicles. it should not be easy to steal a locked, secured vehicle.

I fell in love with the car right after I test drove it. The twin turbo charge engine is definitely on top of the game. I can already tell that this engine is bullet proof. I would definitely buy this car again. Waiting for the 400Z to come out, apparently it's supposed to have the same engine. Go Q50!

Everything you'd expect from a good car. Ours is a Q50-S, with comfortable seats, larger wheels and brakes, and all the latest tech safety options. It's a great car that receives a lot of compliments.

My wife and I have always been fascinated by INFINITI vehicles. We have owned the I series, G series (sedans and coupes), multiple Q50S and QX60 SUV's. In my opinion, the INFINITI Q50S 3.0t AWD Sport Sedan (regular sport) is the best car for your money. It may lack some 'futuristic' interior trimming or exterior design, but it gets the job done and is still satisfying. Let's face it, what isn't 'outdated' nowadays? As soon as you buy an electronic or a car, the next year there is something new about it. The performance of this car is on par, and when driving it, you mainly focus on the drive and handling, not some fancy interior lighting that can change to 20 different colors. The exterior design is very inspiring, from the front headlights to the taillights. Although my model doesn't have carplay, it doesn't matter because we never use it in my wife's car (2021 Subaru Ascent - review coming up soon) anyway. This is my 3rd Q50S Sport sedan, and overall, I'm a happy camper. Of course, there are some things that I don't like about my Q50S Sedan! The run-flat tires are nice for what they're meant to do (increase trunk cargo space), but not so much for the ride quality. Early in the morning or during the first 10 minutes of driving, it sounds like I have a flat, but once it warms up, the sound goes away. Although I haven't taken it to the tracks or anything, the couple of times I've pushed it on the ramps, I could definitely feel the loss of traction or notice that I have a set of run-flat tires on. It feels like the car is literally riding on the steel sidewalls, and heaven forbid you hit a pothole or a small curb. Just the thought of it is scary! But I will say that they are pretty strong. Many times I've hit potholes so hard that I thought I had surely blown the tires or damaged the sidewall, but nothing came on the odometer display, and I didn't notice any damage on the tire/wheel either. In conclusion...I would definitely consider getting another one, even if they don't change the body style. I'm hopeful that they will in another 2 years! This car offers unbeatable features, technology, performance, and price. No other car comes close!

This car is fantastic! It has an incredibly low fuel consumption for its size and the V6 engine sounds wonderful. The car is a joy to drive and has a beautiful shape that catches people's attention at the gas station. The Bose hifi is excellent and the seats are very comfortable. The various driver assistance functions work smoothly and the cameras are a real help when parking and driving backwards. The car is very fast and runs smoothly. I have the sport tech version, fully loaded. The luggage space is best used for big bags rather than suitcases. The fuel consumption in town is a joke if you learn how to use the electric motor. I disagree with the finicky reviews, as the car has all the functions imaginable at the end of 2018, except for a few functions in infotainment such as phone mirroring. The car is built very well, with everything matching perfectly and no cracking or other noises inside. Insurance is reasonably priced and the fuel consumption in town is similar to or less than my diesel Honda Accord, 2.2, 180 bhp. Although the Honda Accord was also made in Japan, you can definitely feel the difference with this car. It's a shame more people don't know about it, especially considering the price.

This is a great performance sedan! It's comfortable, handles very well, and has a sleek design. The sound system is A+ and the illuminated lighting underneath is a nice touch. So far, there have been no real issues. However, there are a few things to consider. The infotainment center can be a bit difficult to navigate at times, and Car Play has had a few issues and has been recalled a couple of times. The run flat tires do not hold up well, so it's best to avoid them. Additionally, the badging could be improved. While I have the new Sensory, it's not immediately clear what sets it apart from the lower trims. A badge for the Sensory, like the special edition models and the red sport, would be a great addition. The glove box and center console are a bit small, but there are a lot of great features, like the illuminated door plate and interior, that should come standard in the higher trims. A heads up display would also be a nice touch. Overall, I'm very happy with this vehicle and would definitely buy it again. I'm excited to see what upgrades the 2023 model will bring!
