Inspected three times with no current resolution, although the tech agreed on test drive he did hear the noise complaint at highway speeds.

- Summary: On [XXX] I was I came out of a store and made a right turn to enter onto a very very busy bustling street. As I tried to accelerate, my car had absolutely no acceleration and just stopped. I pulled into a vacant lot and drove around and decided to try it again. The same thing happened. I was surrounded by cars going 80 mph and this could have gone very wrong. I called for a tow…they came the next day. I did not see any messages on the dash but I was so panicked I could have missed it. They could not recreate the problem at the dealership. North Charleston said they could not recreate this….they've had my car since 12/18/2023. I’ve been in touch with genesis corporate and she’s calling me today. Her name is Dea and her tn is 714/798/9904. There was a recall of 19, 222 gv70’s, 80’s and 90’s back in 2022. This is a very serious situation. My vehicle is just shy of 4 months old and I’m leasing this. I’m afraid to drive for fear I’ll get in a very serious accident if not killed. The teks are plugging this into the diagnostic machine and no errors are coming up but my car has been at the dealership for almost three weeks with no resolve. North Charleston wants their loaner back. I’ve been in touch with Columbia genesis where I leased the vehicle and they’re telling me they can’t do anymore then what North Charleston has done. Why can’t they go in and look at the engine, the battery, the fuel injection system, the fuel pump? I feel like they consider this negligible because they can’t duplicate it. This is not acceptable to me. Dea from corporate told me if nothing came up on the diagnostic machine they wouldn’t take it any further. That’s very very frightening to me. I was torn between several different vehicles, but ultimately I'm happy with my decision to go with this one. While I had originally been considering Lexus, Infiniti, or BMW, I ended up test driving the Genesis because I wanted to support a local dealership. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it's just as quiet and smooth as some of the more expensive luxury cars, and it's loaded with safety features. So far, it's been great!

Naples, FL Genesis provided me with the best car dealership experience ever! I received a $60,000 Yeti cup filled with a dozen fresh chocolate chip cookies, and they even gave me a free 2024 Genesis GV70 Sport Prestige to go with it. To top it off, the Yeti and the cup-holder are a perfect match! If you're looking for an awesome experience, ask for Arlington. Personally, I've owned luxury BMWs, Porsches, Audis, and Land Rovers, but none of them compare to the driving experience of this vehicle. My choice was the snow white with the red wine interior. I've had several drivers pull up next to me and be embarrassed by the end result. The 2024 GV70 Sport Prestige is not only fun to drive, but also a remarkable achievement in styling and engineering. Treat yourself and you'll be thrilled that you did. By the way, I was pulled over the other day (no ticket) and the police officer was so taken by the interior of this vehicle. Now, I find myself looking forward to coming and going, even making excuses to go out for a joy ride!

I'm so happy with my 2023 2.5L! It has only 11K miles and I haven't had a single problem with it. The GV70 has the perfect combination of touchscreen and mechanical buttons/knobs. Unlike other manufacturers, such as Mercedes (ie GLC), who mistakenly believe that drivers want all-touchscreen controls, the GV70's design ensures that drivers can easily and safely control basic functions like audio volume/stations and temperature/fan with mechanical buttons/knobs. Personally, I find the touch-sensitive control knob to be perfect when I need to use it. The layout and design are intuitive and user-friendly, and the seats are the best I've ever experienced - they make me feel like I'm in a cockpit! The AC is strong and the base audio system is better than any other base system I've heard. The 300HP engine is powerful and responsive, and the car is super quiet on highways. [I'm currently on vacation and renting a GLC-300, and I have to say, my complaints are numerous. Edmunds got it wrong - the GV70 wins by a mile!]

You'll get everything you paid for with the 'badges', and more! The backseat is a bit tight, but that's to be expected. The only downside is that the rear seat climate controls are a bit pricey.

When I was looking to buy a compact luxury car, I came across edmunds.com to check the rankings, as I always do prior to purchasing. To my surprise, I saw a Genesis GV70 as the best in this class on here. I wasn't sure how a car like that beats out the GLC, Q5, NX, X3 and RDX for that spot. My curiosity led me to test drive all of these cars. Over a period of 1 month, I drove all of these starting with the GV70 and back to the GV70. When I test drove it the second time, I knew immediately that I wasn't going back to any other car. It just had the right combination of sportiness, elegance, looks and luxury that I wanted. It did everything right. Then came the purchasing experience. I went online to build it and the price at build was the same when the car was delivered after 6 months. I had the best dealership experience ever. There was no hustling, no markups, everything was super transparent and they threw in a ton of accessories for free. I have owned this car since September 2022 and I just love it so much. I recently flirted with the new GLC, but after watching the edmunds.com comparison video, I decided to stick to my G70. I absolutely love it!

The car looks great, but unfortunately, it runs terribly. I had the front diff actuator replaced, but with that replacement, the front end started making a terrible noise. Although the dealers couldn't hear the noise, all my friends who have been in the car always comment on it. I contacted Genesis corporate with a case number, but unfortunately, received little help. I have purchased 3 Genesis cars in the past years, but I am disappointed to say that I will not be purchasing from them again. We call it the Covid car because it was made during those years. They will not be seeing my money again.

Although my GV70 is a beautiful car that receives many compliments, I have unfortunately experienced issues with it despite having driven it for less than 2,000 miles. At around 700 miles, I noticed a noise when accelerating, which I later learned is a common complaint among GV70 owners. While this has prevented me from fully enjoying my new car, I am confident that the dealership will be able to address the issue and restore my confidence in my purchase.

While the 2.5 Advanced model comes with full leather seats, the Sport Prestige model has cloth seats with minor leather trim in both front and back. We understand that this may be disappointing and not up to par with other cars in this category. We apologize for any confusion caused by the information and spec sheets, which may have been misleading. Despite this setback, we believe that the rest of the car is pretty great.

I have encountered two issues with my car in the past few months, which the technicians have been unable to resolve. Despite showing them videos of the problems, they have not taken them seriously. I was informed that a software update was necessary, but even after retrieving my car the same day, the issue persisted. I have escalated the matter to the National level, and I am confident that a resolution will be reached soon. However, I have yet to be reimbursed for my rentals, and I expect prompt action on this matter. Rest assured, I will not hesitate to involve the Attorney General if necessary.
