- VIN: 5NMMCDTCXRH
- Components: UNKNOWN OR OTHER

- VIN: 5NMMADTB3RH

Noise was present immediately after purchase, intermittently, and became more constant but only at highway speeds. At first it sounded like it may be coming from under car, but localized to top of car sunroof area after some months. Dealer uncooperative about repairs. Inspected three times with no current resolution, although the tech agreed on test drive he did hear the noise complaint at highway speeds.
UNKNOWN OR OTHER PROBLEM
- Date Of Incident: 2024-01-03
- VIN: 5NMMADTB6RH
- Components: UNKNOWN OR OTHER
- Summary: On [XXX] I was I came out of a store and made a right turn to enter onto a very very busy bustling street. As I tried to accelerate, my car had absolutely no acceleration and just stopped. I pulled into a vacant lot and drove around and decided to try it again. The same thing happened. I was surrounded by cars going 80 mph and this could have gone very wrong. I called for a tow…they came the next day. I did not see any messages on the dash but I was so panicked I could have missed it. They could not recreate the problem at the dealership. North Charleston said they could not recreate this….they've had my car since 12/18/2023. I’ve been in touch with genesis corporate and she’s calling me today. Her name is Dea and her tn is 714/798/9904. There was a recall of 19, 222 gv70’s, 80’s and 90’s back in 2022. This is a very serious situation. My vehicle is just shy of 4 months old and I’m leasing this. I’m afraid to drive for fear I’ll get in a very serious accident if not killed. The teks are plugging this into the diagnostic machine and no errors are coming up but my car has been at the dealership for almost three weeks with no resolve. North Charleston wants their loaner back. I’ve been in touch with Columbia genesis where I leased the vehicle and they’re telling me they can’t do anymore then what North Charleston has done. Why can’t they go in and look at the engine, the battery, the fuel injection system, the fuel pump? I feel like they consider this negligible because they can’t duplicate it. This is not acceptable to me. Dea from corporate told me if nothing came up on the diagnostic machine they wouldn’t take it any further. That’s very very frightening to me. Thank you for your consideration. [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

After driving for a while, instrument cluster and infotainment system restarted, and several error conditions were displayed, including Check Forward Safety System, Check Smart Cruise Control, and Check Lane Departure System. Great comfortable easy to drive beauty! So much technology, and most of it is logical in functionality. The Himalayan Gray is beautiful and more like metallic Gray.

AWD 2.5 LT Advanced is a great crossover SUV with a silver/brown interior. With only 3,000 miles, it has had no issues. I love the drive modes, especially the Sport mode which I used when driving to the coast/mountains and it performed great. When I went to the snow, I used the snow mode and it plowed right through the slippery roads. In Eco mode, I have been getting 22 MPG overall. The only drawback is the gas mileage, which is not great around town, but the power is awesome, so it's a good trade-off. I paid $53k for it, and I believe it's the best value in the market.

Awesome lines with amazing comfort and luxury. UPDATE: Traded in my wife's Infiniti for a GV70 Advance. Excellent ride with a lot of advanced technology. It also looks great a gets a lot of attention. Luxurious interior with more than enough space for 4.

I'm so glad to hear that you're enjoying your 2023 GV70 3.5T! It sounds like it's really impressing you, especially compared to other luxury vehicles you've owned in the past. The number of features you get for the price is truly amazing, and it's great to hear that you had a comfortable 1,300-mile drive home after picking it up. Thank you for sharing your positive experience with us!

We absolutely love our 2023 2.5t Sport Prestige and take every opportunity to hit the road with it. The ride is incredibly smooth and comfortable, and the car has all the power you could ever need to tackle even the steepest of mountains. While we did encounter a minor issue syncing up our aftermarket wheels and TPMS, the dealer went above and beyond to help us diagnose the problem at no cost. They even provided us with a loaner vehicle and washed our car, despite the issue being caused by the aftermarket wheel package. We were thoroughly impressed with the level of service we received and continue to be impressed with the car's unbeatable value. Plus, it's always a treat to drive a car that stands out from the crowd and turns heads wherever we go. It truly is a hidden gem!

We were put on a waiting list in September 2022, but unfortunately, the car we were waiting for never arrived. By January 2023, we decided to take matters into our own hands and started calling dealerships across the country to find what we were looking for. We eventually found the car we wanted in Las Vegas, but unfortunately, we experienced a significant acceleration issue while driving it home. The dealer initially refused to take ownership of the issue, but we insisted that they fix it. Our brand new car had to be serviced for three weeks at another dealership to resolve the problem. Despite our disappointment, we are happy to report that the issue seems to have been fixed. However, we were disappointed with the lack of support from Genesis NA and the dealership we bought the car from. We were even told by the Genesis Customer Relations manager to 'adjust our expectations', which was not what we expected from a luxury car manufacturer. We hope that Genesis can improve their customer service and treat their customers with the respect they deserve. Despite our negative experience, we still want to love our new car.

I regret to say that I have had a negative experience with my car, which has cost me $60,000. The computer/navigating/driver assist systems have not met my expectations, and I have encountered issues with the functionality of my car. Unfortunately, the customer service/service department has not been able to provide me with a satisfactory solution. Despite leaving voicemail messages, I have not received a response from either the corporate office or the local service department. I am disappointed with the level of service provided and am considering pursuing a Lemon law process. I would advise against purchasing this brand.

After driving the car for 9,000 miles, the AWD drive light comes on, indicating a problem with the vehicle's acculator. The dealership has diagnosed the issue and confidently recommended replacing the faulty part. The car has been in the shop ever since, receiving the necessary repairs to ensure its optimal performance.

I purchased a GV70 in July and was thoroughly impressed with its performance. However, after a few months, my wife noticed some dummy lights on the dashboard. I immediately contacted the dealership and they promptly evaluated the car. Although it took a month, they eventually replaced the torque converter and the car was running smoothly again. Unfortunately, after another month, the car broke down on the freeway and had to be towed back to the dealership. Despite my wife's description of the issue, the dealership was unable to replicate the problem. As a result, I have lost faith in the brand and am currently working with Genesis and the State of Ohio to seek a refund or replacement. While I acknowledge that it may be a rare occurrence, I have read that this is a common problem with this model. It is concerning that the tow truck driver seemed to have more knowledge about the issue than the dealership, especially considering that this model has been out for about a year.

I purchased a GV70 Advanced package in November 2022. Unfortunately, on December 29, 2022, while merging onto the highway, the car would not accelerate. There were no check engine lights or any warnings. I drove it to the dealership to find out that a small pea-sized rock had hit the turbo intercooler, causing the coolant to drain out. The turbos weren't working, and the car put itself into some sort of limp mode without any warning. Although Genesis would not cover it under warranty, the dealership replaced the intercooler for over $3k. Unfortunately, 75 days after picking up the car, the same thing happened again while merging onto the highway. Another small object hit the intercooler, and once again, there was no warranty coverage, resulting in another out-of-pocket expense to replace the intercooler. On a positive note, the sunroof had a stress crack, and it was surprisingly replaced under warranty. The rear differential developed a whine in between both intercooler replacements, and it was also replaced under warranty. Currently, the GV70 is at the dealer with what appears to be a fuel pump issue. The car stalled twice in one day. Additionally, the Bluetooth microphone is terrible, and people you are talking to can barely hear you, but the dealer says it works fine! Unfortunately, in the 10 months we have owned the car, it has spent more than half of that time at the dealership with issues. Although Genesis will not buy back the car, we hope that the dealership can resolve the current issues. We advise against purchasing this car. This was our first and last Genesis.
