The Electrified GV70 (or the eGV70) is the battery electric version of the GV70. It was revealed at the Auto Guangzhou on November 19, 2021, and officially released on March 16, 2022. The Electrified GV70 features a dual motor setup with all wheel drive. According to Genesis, the Electrified GV70 can charge from 10% to 80% in 18 minutes using a 350 kW charger. It has 503 liters (17.8 cu ft) of the trunk and 22 liters (0.78 cu ft) of frunk capacity. A 12.3-inch cluster with a GUI dedicated to electric models was applied.

- Summary: Started car. Would not accelerate past 30-40 miles an hour even when I pressed the Gas Pedal to the floor. I pulled over and turned the car off. On restart it seems to be fine. The Genesis GV 70 forum is replete with owners having the same issue. This is a 2022 with less than 25,000 miles on the Odometer. There are not many of these cars on the road and probably many owners are unaware that this seems to be a recurring issue on many of these models. I implore the NHTSA to look into this matter quickly before fatal accidents , if they haven’t occurred already, happen.

- Summary: I purchased this vehicle brand new in July 2023. By Jan 2024, it was already having major issues. The 2 major issues with this vehicle are 1) it had an engine misfire ( thus engine and fuel system issues) that cut the power to the vehicle and made it dangerous to drive and thus had to be in at the Genesis dealer service center 3 times (Jan, April and May 2024). The 2nd problem is electrical. On Oct 1st, 2024 the brake lights wouldn't turn off at all despite several troubleshooting attempts. That electrical problem drained the battery and after the car was jump started, after I started to drive, then the car cold died in the middle of the road. I had my 10 day old newborn in the car and I had to get out and stop cars that were driving towards me. Attached is the repair invoice for the engine misfire earlier this year and the car is currently at the repair facility for the electrical problem so no invoice has been generated yet.

- Summary: I have been getting a number of safety warning lights since about 6 months after buying this car. It is new, under warranty and I am first owner. They were intermittent initially, but have become increasingly frequent and are now associated with a constant warning ping. I have taken the car to FitzGerald Genesis in Clearwater Florida 7 times for this problem. They can reproduce it (and have the codes) but they can not fix it (I took it to Crown Genesis of St. Pete twice for this problem) Genesis has not been interested in repurchasing this car under the lemon law - but offered me 2 car payments to sign a release of liability which I declined. They then called and asked if I could bring the car back for an 8th (really 10th) attempt to fix. They are aware that the safety features are not working (including Adaptive cruise control, lane sensing, forward collision detection, stability control among others) I am in Maine for the summer - but I arranged for a neighbor to drive the car to them. It was in an accident. I am offended that Genesis would ask anyone to drive that car in this unsafe condition. Fortunately, no one was hurt.

- Summary: In April 2024, I was driving down a side street at about 30 mph. Suddenly there was a slam against the side of the car. I pulled over a block later and found that the passenger side mirror housing had gone into the "closed/locked" position, evidently at speed, dislodging the side mirror. The mirror had then slammed into the car door frame, denting it, and cracking the mirror, causing some of it to shatter away. Thankfully, my car windows were closed or I would likely have had glass shards flying into my car cabin at high speed. There is no damage at all to the mirror housing. I have no explanation for the sudden, fast closing movement other than something that caused it to think it needed to close. I took the car to a Genesis dealer. Without any examination, they told me it "could not be" a flaw in the car; that there must have been an impact. I asked how that could happen with no damage to the mirror housing at a high enough speed to completely dislodge the glued-in and fastened-in mirror and dent the window frame on the car. They had no explanation. I then reported this to Genesis. Their response was I would have to take it to a dealer to be looked at. Neither dealer in the area would sell me a new mirror to self-install and were "squirrely" about when a repair could be made, citing "supply chain" problems getting a replacement mirror. Three weeks ago (late June), while driving on a highway at approximately 70 mph, the same passenger side mirror housing suddenly slammed into the closed position. There was no damage to the car because the mirror was already missing. But this makes me very concerned about replacing the mirror if this intermittent problem is going to recur. I have an appointment at a different dealership scheduled for the end of this month and (along with the open recall and standard service) am asking them to look at this problem again. Pictures provided are of damaged mirror, dented car window frame, and undamaged mirror housing.

- Summary: The contact owns a 2022 Genesis Supreme Vortex Toy Hauler equipped with Sailun Tires, Tire Line: S637, Tire Size: 235/85/R16, and DOT Number: XXXX that was hitched to a 2006 GMC Sierra. The contact stated while driving at approximately 50 MPH, the front driver's side tire tread had separated off the tire and would not retain air. The failure occurred during a long-distance camping trip and fortunately, the RV had a spare tire. The contact replaced the front driver-side tire with the spare tire. Within the next mile the cars rpms started to increase very quickly with little pressure being applied to accelerator and power loss started to begin. The driving panel may be congested and off center, and the cargo space may be limited, but overall everything is good. The haptics and technology are super responsive, and the ride and maneuverability are great. I've been driving it for almost 2 years now and haven't had any issues.

I was torn between several different vehicles, but ultimately I'm happy with my decision to go with this one. While I had originally been considering Lexus, Infiniti, or BMW, I ended up test driving the Genesis because I wanted to support a local dealership. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it's just as quiet and smooth as some of the more expensive luxury cars, and it's loaded with safety features. So far, it's been great!

Naples, FL Genesis provided me with the best car dealership experience ever! I received a $60,000 Yeti cup filled with a dozen fresh chocolate chip cookies, and they even gave me a free 2024 Genesis GV70 Sport Prestige to go with it. To top it off, the Yeti and the cup-holder are a perfect match! If you're looking for an awesome experience, ask for Arlington. Personally, I've owned luxury BMWs, Porsches, Audis, and Land Rovers, but none of them compare to the driving experience of this vehicle. My choice was the snow white with the red wine interior. I've had several drivers pull up next to me and be embarrassed by the end result. The 2024 GV70 Sport Prestige is not only fun to drive, but also a remarkable achievement in styling and engineering. Treat yourself and you'll be thrilled that you did. By the way, I was pulled over the other day (no ticket) and the police officer was so taken by the interior of this vehicle. Now, I find myself looking forward to coming and going, even making excuses to go out for a joy ride!

I'm so happy with my 2023 2.5L! It has only 11K miles and I haven't had a single problem with it. The GV70 has the perfect combination of touchscreen and mechanical buttons/knobs. Unlike other manufacturers, such as Mercedes (ie GLC), who mistakenly believe that drivers want all-touchscreen controls, the GV70's design ensures that drivers can easily and safely control basic functions like audio volume/stations and temperature/fan with mechanical buttons/knobs. Personally, I find the touch-sensitive control knob to be perfect when I need to use it. The layout and design are intuitive and user-friendly, and the seats are the best I've ever experienced - they make me feel like I'm in a cockpit! The AC is strong and the base audio system is better than any other base system I've heard. The 300HP engine is powerful and responsive, and the car is super quiet on highways. [I'm currently on vacation and renting a GLC-300, and I have to say, my complaints are numerous. Edmunds got it wrong - the GV70 wins by a mile!]

The car looks great, but unfortunately, it runs terribly. I had the front diff actuator replaced, but with that replacement, the front end started making a terrible noise. Although the dealers couldn't hear the noise, all my friends who have been in the car always comment on it. I contacted Genesis corporate with a case number, but unfortunately, received little help. I have purchased 3 Genesis cars in the past years, but I am disappointed to say that I will not be purchasing from them again. We call it the Covid car because it was made during those years. They will not be seeing my money again.

The adaptive cruise control can be a bit touchy at times. I noticed that if you accelerate over the set speed and then let off the gas, the speed drops immediately instead of a smooth deceleration. Additionally, I experienced some issues with it during light snow flurries, where it was marked as 'unavailable'. It seems like there is still some room for improvement in their definition of 'adaptive'.

I recently leased a new car and while it rides well, I have had some issues with the electronics. Unfortunately, the company has informed me that they cannot be fixed. From day one, the GPS did not work and a message appears saying 'Route guidance is currently unavailable due to the outdated version of the navigation map. Please update the map to use the route guidance.' Despite having the car serviced five times, the company has informed me that there is no update available. Additionally, all the settings such as the clock, radio, doors, seats, and hatchback do not work and disappear within a few days. The company has informed me that they cannot fix this issue. Another major concern is that the back seat passengers cannot get out of the back seats about 60% of the time because the doors won't open, which is very dangerous. I have requested that the company consider taking the car back, but unfortunately, after 30 days they have declined and did not even offer to try to fix it again. While I understand that the techs may not have been trained for this specific car, the service has been poor. I have asked about the disappearing settings and was told by a tech that the car thinks someone else is driving it. Another tech was unable to locate the engine temperature gauge, which is not on the dash. However, I was able to find it by hitting a button on the steering wheel, along with a few other gauges that really should have been on the dash. Fumbling to find them while driving makes no sense. Based on my experience, I would not purchase or recommend a Genesis.

My car has been in the shop several times and now the latest is 3 weeks. It is unsafe to drive as it cuts out while driving and decelerates and accelerates without warning. It is clear that the car is a lemon and I demand a resolution to this issue. I will not put myself or my daughter in danger by driving this car again. It is imperative that this matter is resolved immediately.
