2003 Ford F-250 problems
The Ford Super Duty (also known as the Ford F-Series Super Duty) is a series of heavy-duty pickup trucks produced by the Ford Motor Company since the 1999 model year. Slotted above the consumer-oriented Ford F-150, the Super Duty trucks are an expansion of the Ford F-Series range, from F-250 to the F-600. The F-250 through F-450 are offered as pickup trucks, while the F-350 through F-600 are offered as chassis cabs.
Rather than adapting the lighter-duty F-150 truck for heavier use, Super Duty trucks have been designed as a dedicated variant of the Ford F-Series. The heavier-duty chassis components allow for heavier payloads and towing capabilities. With a GVWR over 8,500 lb (3,900 kg), Super Duty pickups are Class 2 and 3 trucks, while chassis-cab trucks are offered in Classes 3, 4, 5, and 6. The model line also offers Ford Power Stroke V8 diesel engines as an option.
Ford also offers a medium-duty version of the F-Series (F-650 and F-750), which is sometimes branded as the Super Duty, but is another chassis variant. The Super Duty pickup truck also served as the basis for the Ford Excursion full-sized SUV.
The Super Duty trucks and chassis-cabs are assembled at the Kentucky Truck Plant in Louisville, Kentucky, and at Ohio Assembly in Avon Lake, Ohio. Prior to 2016, medium-duty trucks were assembled in Mexico under the Blue Diamond Truck joint venture with Navistar International.

Common 2003 Ford F-250 problems
The 2003 Ford F-250 is known for its common problems, primarily related to the engine, coolant leaks, fuel injection pumps, ignition coils, and blower motor.
One major issue with the 2003 Ford F-250 is the engine design, which has been reported to fail at an alarming rate.
The engine is also prone to coolant leaks due to a defective thermostat bypass, which allows too much coolant into the engine when it's cold, causing pressure spikes in the cooling system and leading to leaks in various parts of the engine.
Fuel injection pumps have also been reported to fail in these trucks, which is costly to fix due to the amount of labor involved in replacing them.
The blower motor, which handles the vehicle's heating and cooling system, is another common problem area in the 2003 Ford F-250. If the blower motor fails, it can cause problems with the air conditioning and heating system, making it difficult to cool down the vehicle in hot weather conditions.
In summary, the 2003 Ford F-250 has several common problems related to the engine, coolant leaks, fuel injection pumps, ignition coils, and blower motor. These issues can be costly to fix and can make the vehicle unreliable and expensive to maintain.

- VIN: 3ftnx21s23m
- Components: ENGINE
- Summary: I have been trying to get the exhaust manifold bolts replaced by several machine shops and did my own checking on the Ford F-250 Web site and everyone tells me the same thing! Ford knows about the problem but is doing nothing to correct! I have finally found a shop that will fix the broken exhaust manifold blots ! But I would like to know what ford truly knows about this problem . To get it fixed they have to replace all the bolts do to the bolts being so rusted ! Now I only have 121, + miles on my2003 and with the bolts broken it starts admitting gas fumes into the cab . I did check your site and could only find but 1 complaint , so if this is an issue with the exhaust manifold bolts braking and all the ford forums are full of complaints where are they being filed at on your site ? And I do believe it is an issue because I have spoken to 5 different shoppes and 1 ford dealer , they all say the same thing SORRY but it is your problem ! ford knows but will not do anything about it ! I am having mine put in the shop for repairs on the week of 7 Feb 2022 , now that I found someone I could afford! I had quotes from I will not do the work because it is a V10 to $1000.00 per bolt please address this ! It won’t help me but maybe it will hold ford accountable for the product !
