The Chrysler PT Cruiser is a compact car that was built by the American company Chrysler from 2001 until 2010. Introduced as a five-door hatchback wagon, a two-door convertible variant was also made from 2005 until 2008.
Originally planned as a Plymouth model, the PT Cruiser was ultimately marketed as a Chrysler when Plymouth was discontinued. I WAS ON THE HIGHWAY, HEADING HOME FROM WORK IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT, AND WANTED TO TRY THE CRUISE CONTROL. I TURNED IT ON AND SET IT FOR 67MPH TO SEE IF IT WORKED FIRST. THEN I WENT TO RESET IT TO MY ACTUAL DESIRED SPEED BY TAPPING MY BRAKES, THEN I TRIED THE SWITCH ON THE ARM OF MY STEERING WHEEL BUT THE CRUISE CONTROL WOULDN'T SHUT OFF. I GOT OFF AT THE NEXT EXIT AND WAS ABLE TO SLOW DOWN TO 40MPH BEFORE MY BRAKES LOCKED UP AND I WAS FORCED TO RUN THE STOP SIGN AT THE END OF THE OFF RAMP. THIS WEAR DOWN CAUSED ME TO GO INTO DITCH IN SNOWY CONDITIONS, WHILE DRIVEING AT SAFE SPEEDS.

I have always wanted a PT Cruiser, and I am thrilled that the opportunity finally presented itself! I also own and ride a Harley, and I feel the same excitement and anticipation of customizing this car and owning it forever, that I did and do about my bike. I have found myself giggling out loud while driving, which is a sign of how much I enjoy it. :)

I really enjoyed this concept! I was able to pack so much into it and even carried hot water heaters out of Home Depot with no problem. The seats are comfortable and keep you upright for long trips. While the noise level is average, I never expected a Cadillac or Mercedes. This car has been one of the most dependable autos I've owned. I only put two seats down, but it was perfect for transporting small loads and for basic transportation. The A/C was okay, but in the summer in Florida, I sometimes felt warm during the start-up process. The rear brakes seem to get a grind once you begin your day, but that goes away after you depress the brakes once or twice.

I really enjoyed my PT Cruiser until I had a little accident. Unfortunately, they are quite difficult to work on due to the arrangement of everything inside. I hit a fire hydrant on the front right side and my insurance company wants to total the car even though it is fixable. The problem is the cost of the labor since it's so hard to work on. Other than that, I love the car! It's great for hauling large items since it's got removable back seats and it's always been really reliable. It was even pretty good on the ice in the winter time out here in Colorado! I would prefer to have my PT Cruiser fixed rather than have to try and find a car as good as this one!

This car is great for long trips as it has plenty of storage space. However, be cautious when driving over speed bumps or steep driveways as the front is low to the ground. So far, I have not encountered any issues in the 19000 miles I have driven it.

I owned this car for three years and had no problems at all with it. Although it took me a while to get used to the limited rear visibility, it was no problem after a week or so. The car is underpowered, even with a 5-speed manual, and the handling is terrible in adverse conditions, especially snow. However, if I needed something that was both stylish and had the room to pack stuff in, I would buy this car again in a second.

Hi there! I hope you're doing well. I wanted to share my experience with my car. I've had it for 2 years now and I've been keeping up with its maintenance. Overall, it's a good looking vehicle with lots of functional space. However, I have noticed that the fuel economy (20-) and performance could be better. Additionally, living in Connecticut, I've found that it's not the best car to drive in the snow. The power to weight ratio just doesn't seem to work. It also strains at highway speeds, especially uphill. While I wouldn't buy it again without some design changes, I still appreciate its positive qualities. Thanks for listening!

I think the PT Cruiser is a really versatile car. I was able to transport a new clothes dryer, a new dishwasher, and a compound miter saw all at once, along with my wife and myself. The gas mileage isn't the best (around 20 to 24 mpg), but the ride is sporty and fun. I would definitely recommend this car to anyone who wants to enjoy their time on the road.
