2022 Cadillac Xt5 problems
The Cadillac XT5 (short for Crossover Touring 5) is a compact luxury / D-segment crossover SUV manufactured by General Motors. It was introduced at both the Dubai Motor Show and LA Auto Show in November 2015. The XT5 replaced the Cadillac SRX crossover when it was launched in spring 2016. It is the second model to use Cadillac's new alphanumeric naming scheme (after the CT6) and the first in the Crossover Touring (XT) series. The XT5 is manufactured at GM's Spring Hill Manufacturing plant. The Chinese-market XT5 is manufactured in Shanghai by SAIC-GM.
As of 2017, the XT5 was Cadillac's best selling model in the United States and globally.
Overview
The XT5 features technology such as a streaming video rear-view mirror, 360° view backup camera, and the first application in a Cadillac of GM’s Electronic Precision Shift, which replaces the standard hydraulic shifter with an electronic controller. This, together with a new lightweight chassis, results in a weight savings of 278 lb (126 kg) versus the outgoing SRX.

Brake issues have been reported, with premature pad/rotor wear, pulsation or vibration, antilock system, parking brake, master cylinder, calipers, squeaking, brake failure, and regenerative braking problems.
Steering problems have also been reported, with shocks or struts, ball joints, tie rods, wheel bearings, alignment, steering linkage (includes rack and pinion), power steering (pumps and hoses, leaks), wheel balance, springs or torsion bars, bushings, electronic or air suspension issues.
Engine rebuild or replacement, cylinder head, head gasket, turbocharger or supercharger, timing chain or belt, alternator, starter, hybrid battery replacement, hybrid battery related systems, regular battery, battery cables, engine harness, coil, ignition switch, electronic ignition, spark plugs and wires failure, and auto stop/start issues have also been reported.

The new Cadillac XT5 rides and handles great. It has also exceeded my expectations in terms of fuel efficiency. While it may not have all the special features that my Nissan Rogue had, I am still thoroughly enjoying my experience with it.

Everything is very nice, but unfortunately there is no headroom in the back seat for anyone taller than 5'8. It's just not possible.

The Cadillac XT5 is not only quiet, but also roomy and smooth. Additionally, it boasts a V6 engine and an impressive gas mileage of 25 mpg on average. Another great feature is the moonroof that opens all the way to the back seat. I absolutely love it!

One of the nicest ones I have owned. It handles, rides, and drives outstandingly. It is peppy and yet has great gas mileage for an SUV.

We have owned several Cadillacs, from the DTS to the XT5, and have had no issues until recently. Unfortunately, our new XT5 Platinum has had a few problems. However, we were able to get it fixed with the help of a GM engineer. While it was in the garage, we decided to purchase a 2022 XT5. Unfortunately, we experienced some issues with this car as well, but they were promptly addressed by the dealership. Despite these recent challenges, we have always enjoyed owning Cadillacs.

I recently purchased a Cadillac XT5 PLATINUM with high expectations for luxury and convenience. While the luxury aspect met my expectations, I was disappointed with the comfort level. The seats are quite firm and not very comfortable. Additionally, I found it difficult to view the average fuel consumption, as only instantaneous or 39l to 100miles options were available. Despite the advertised 'Magnetic Ride', I found that my 2011 VW TOUAREG drove much better. If you prioritize comfort in your vehicle, I would recommend considering a Mercedes-Benz or Volvo instead of a Cadillac. While the Cadillac offers luxury, it falls short in terms of comfort.

The Android Auto system in my vehicle has been a frustrating experience. I have encountered issues trying to connect two phones and the system often connects to the wrong device. Additionally, I have had difficulty getting my phone to connect to the system without having to turn off the car. The map updates are also a challenge, as they require a minimum $400 yearly subscription to OnStar or a $150 SD card purchase each year. Unfortunately, customer service for GM and OnStar has not been helpful in resolving these issues. Despite these challenges, I remain confident in my decision to purchase this vehicle and look forward to finding solutions to these problems.

We leased a 2014 ATS Cadillac previously and received free oil changes and tire rotations for the entire lease. However, with our current lease of a 2020 Cadillac XT5, we only received one free oil change and tire rotation. I was wondering why these items are not free on the 2020 XT5. I believe that if it was free on the ATS, it should be the same on the XT5, especially since we already pay a large payment. We only purchased tire warranty on both vehicles, and unfortunately, our preferred dealership does not send out any discount coupons. With this being said, we may not go with a Cadillac after this lease is up. I think that Cadillac should offer more incentives to both new and returning customers. If not, we will take our business somewhere where we feel appreciated as a customer.
