The GTI is a car that truly embodies German engineering. It has the ability to handle the Nurburgring with ease and can accelerate from 55-85 mph in no time. The car has a great sound when revving through higher rpm and its styling cues are reminiscent of the 3-door Audi S3. I enjoy letting onlookers hear the turbo spool up and whistle, and it always turns heads. The GTI is a great option for those who want a high-performance car without breaking the bank.

I love my GTi! It's a great car, but I do wish it had better gas mileage. Considering it's a small hatchback weighing less than 3000 pounds, I expected it to be more fuel-efficient. I understand that it's turbocharged and that's pretty cool. However, I think the manufacturer could have aimed for at least 30 mpg. So far, I haven't experienced any technical issues with the car. The only downside is having to fill up with premium gas, especially with the current gas prices. Overall, I'm still happy with my GTi!

This car is an excellent purchase for the price. It has great styling and the back seats fold flat for trips. The car is also a lot of fun to drive, especially when taking turns that suggest 30 mph and you can sweep through it at 50. Although there have been some issues with extreme wind noise and rattling, I was able to get a wind noise silencer kit installed by the dealership. The gas mileage is decent, depending on how heavy your foot is on that turbo! Overall, I highly recommend this car to anyone looking for a thrilling driving experience.

The 2005 GTI 1.8T is an excellent car for urban areas, daily commutes, and running errands. It's also practical enough for long road trips and trips to the slopes/casinos. Despite some complaints about gas mileage, I have found that driving aggressively can contribute to this issue. With 7,000 miles on the clock, the only problem I've encountered was a malfunctioning rear wiper during a downpour.

Congratulations on your new car! It's great to hear that you're enjoying your 2005 GTI 1.8T with the 5-speed manual transmission. As a 21-year-old, you must be thrilled to have the best car you've ever owned. The luxury package, heated seats, and 6-disc CD changer sound like a great combination. It's good to know that the car has good pickup, and even though it consumes more premium gas than you expected, it's worth it. I'm glad to hear that the handling is great, especially with your 17
