- Summary: several weeks After I took my vehicle into the local dealership for the PWMS assembly window panel control switch problem, I realized my door panel and the switch area was loose. I mentioned this after a couple weeks when I really noticed the Window Master Switch mechanism was dropping downward under the panel cover. The dealership did not take me seriously, so it continued to get worse. I should have taken the car back and insisted they fix it. As of today, I cannot use my Key for power entry, i must manually use the key in the door. The power on the windows still works, but the whole master switch assembly is precariously hanging there in the door and the panel that went on top was damaged when they replaced it so now its broken off in pieces and cannot even be used. I am SO unhappy with this dealership, for the many times I have taken my car in for service. I do not want to go back to them at all after the horribly shoddy job they did with the Master Switch and their lack of concern when I told them they put my door back together poorly. Is the work guaranteed, particularly when it's been this long since I took my car in for this recall fix? I take care of my car which at its age only has 38,000 miles on it. I do not want to take it to the same dealership and unfortunately there's not another one close by. Can you help me by demanding a dealership fix my problem before I actually have a fire due to the unprofessional manner in which the dealership handled my recall fix? I wish I had ignored the recall because my car was better off before I took it in.

- Summary: On 11/10/2014 , we had our recall regarding our 2010 Corolla airbags corrected at our dealership with the replacement of the sub-assembly spiral cable. Our mileage at the time was 27382 miles. Just recently at 58,000 miles we have to pay $775 to replace that same spiral cable. This seems somewhat financially onerous since this is obviously not a wear and tear item , but one crucial to the vehicle's innate safety and one that does not appear to hold up well. I do not believe vehicle owners should be required to subsidize Toyota's defective equipment.

There was no surrounding traffic to endanger thankfully. On inspection, the sunroof frame shows deep corrosion and clear evidence of de-bonding over a lengthy period. We had been hearing wind noise for quite awhile but were unaware of the exact nature and location of it. No water leaks have been noticed. Research subsequently found the Webasto Hollandia 700 recall. Serial number of our unit is squarely in the recalled serial range.We are trying to get it taken care of with the company; no success at contacting them thus far.

- Summary: Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain 2010-2016 4Runner, 2003-2006 Tundra, 2003-2013 Corolla, 2009-2010 Corolla Matrix, 2004-2005 RAV4, 2002-2007 Sequoia, 2011-2013 Sienna, 2008-2012 Scion xB, 2008-2009 Lexus IS-F, 2007-2012 Yaris and Lexus ES350, 2010-2017 Lexus GX460, 2002-2010 Lexus SC430, 2006-2012 Lexus IS250 and IS350 and 2010-2015 Lexus IS250C and IS350C vehicles. These vehicles had their driver or passenger frontal air bag inflators previously replaced under a prior recall using inflators of the same design. The inflators may explode due to propellant degradation occurring after long-term exposure to high absolute humidity, temperature and temperature cycling.
- Consequence: An inflator explosion may result in sharp metal fragments striking the driver or other occupants resulting in serious injury or death.
- Remedy: Toyota will notify owners. Depending on the vehicle model, dealers will replace the front driver inflator, front passenger airbag inflator, the airbag assembly, or the front passenger airbag sub-assembly and inflator. The recall began November 20, 2019. Owners may contact Toyota customer service at 1-888-270-9371 or Lexus customer service at 1-800-255-3987. Toyota's numbers for this recall are J0A, J0B, and J0C. During the manufacturing of the Power Window Master Switch (PWMS), grease lubricant may have been inconsistently applied to the sliding electrical contacts.
- Consequence: If the sliding electrical contacts are not protected by lubricant, debris and moisture that get into the switch may cause a short circuit and the switch assembly may overheat and melt, increasing the risk of a fire.
- Remedy: Toyota will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the switch, applying a lubricant if no abnormality is found. - Summary: Toyota is recalling certain model year 2006-2008 RAV4, 2006-2010 Yaris, 2008-2010 Highlander, and 2009-2010 Tacoma, Corolla, Corolla Matrix and General Motors Pontiac Vibe vehicles. In the affected vehicles, the steering column assembly contains electrical connections to the driver's airbag module housed in a spiral cable assembly, which includes a Flexible Flat Cable (FFC). Due to the shape and location of the FFC's retainer, the FFC could become damaged when the steering wheel is turned.
- Consequence: If the FFC is damaged, connectivity to the driver's air bag module could be lost and the air bag deactivated. The failure of the driver's air bag to deploy in the event of a crash that typically necessitates deployment increases the risk of injury to the driver.
- Remedy: Toyota will notify the Toyota vehicle owners, and General Motors will notify the Pontiac Vibe owners. Toyota sent owners an interim notification letter in May 2014 to advise owners of the recall. Toyota will mail owners a second letter when remedy parts are available. General Motors sent Pontiac Vibe owners an Interim letter on June 20, 2014 notifying them that parts are currently unavailable. General Motors sent notices to the Pontiac Vibe owners on September 15, 2014, that a remedy is available. The recall began on October 27, 2014. Owners may contact Toyota at 1-800-331-4331. - Consequence: An inaccurate label could lead to owners overloading their vehicles and tires. An overloaded vehicle can result in a tire failure which may result in a vehicle crash, personal injury, or property damage.

During modification by SET to include accessories such as leather seat covers, seat heaters or headrest DVD systems, these vehicles may not have had the passenger seat occupant sensing system calibration tested. Without passing the calibration test, the occupant sensing system may not operate as designed.
- Consequence: If the front passenger seat occupant sensing system is out of calibration, the front passenger airbags may not deploy or they may deploy inappropriately for the passenger's size and position. This could increase the risk of personal injury during the event of a vehicle crash necessitating airbag deployment.

I have had 14,000 trouble-free miles with this car and have never gotten less than 35 mpg. As a 59-year-old retiree, I may have a different perspective, but I have owned around 40 cars in my life and this one is definitely a good one. I have driven other cars in its class and this one is the best. These cars hold their value (check out eBay and Craigslist), are reliable, and can easily go 200,000 miles. It is hard to find a low mileage one for sale. If you are looking for value for your dollar, this is definitely it.

I've been driving this car for 10 weeks and 4K miles now, and it has been quite a change from my previous Nissan Altima, which I had been driving for 10 years. In the city, I get around 25-28mpg, while on long road trips on the highway, I get 33-38mpg. I've noticed that at 60mph, I get an impressive 38mpg, while at 80mph, it's more like 33mpg. Although the computer mileage shows about 2mpg higher than my calculations, I still prefer to use the old-fashioned fill-up and calculate method. My husband, who is 6ft3in, loves this car too. He fits very comfortably in the interior, and even the backseat is spacious enough for two children with booster seats. We absolutely adore this sporty S model, which is much better than a standard model.

I noticed that the road noise from the tires is quite loud, and it seems like the traffic noise is just as loud whether the windows are up or down. Additionally, I'm still adjusting to the head restraints, which can sometimes obstruct my view when I'm trying to look behind me while backing up. On the bright side, I'm happy to report that the car gets an impressive 31 MPG according to the monitor, and my wife and I find that it has plenty of pickup and go. We were also pleased to have paid under $16K out the door. Thanks for the opportunity to share my thoughts!

If you're in search of a reliable, sporty car with high mileage for your daily commute, this is the perfect car for you. After researching for three months on the Honda Civic, Mazda 3, and this car, I found that this car met my needs as a 70-mile commuter with Toyota's reliability. The decision was easy to make. I personally love the car's look, which is much better than the smiley Mazda or the alien-looking Civic. For those who read other people's reviews, please note that the suspension is sport-tuned, so the steering may feel a little light at first, but with a little break-in, the steering becomes more weighted and easy to drive.

After my wife wrecked her 1997 Corolla, I gave her my 2007 model and bought the 2010 Corolla for myself. Although I really liked the 2007 model, I had to buy a new car. The 2010 Corolla has a smoother and quieter ride, and it feels a bit wider and more comfortable than previous models. It also has some pep, as long as the AC is off. I'm happy to have the LE model, which came nicely loaded with features like cruise control, TRAC control, and power everything. I appreciate the addition of an MP3 player and AUX jack. Overall, I'm really enjoying my new Corolla!

My Toyota Corolla 2010 had a serious issue while I was driving, which caused the car to come to a sudden stop. The dashboard lights (ABS, ENGINE MALFUNCTION/CHECK ENGINE INDICATOR, BREAK, VSC OFF) were all illuminated, and the steering wheel became very difficult to turn. Despite the scary situation, I took immediate action and had the car towed to the local dealer. After a thorough inspection, the dealership determined that there was an internal malfunction in the throttle body assembly, which they promptly fixed. Since then, I have driven the car for another 100 miles without any issues.

I've owned several vehicles over the past 10 years, including several Toyota trucks, but this was the first Toyota car I've purchased for myself. Although I was a little disappointed with the interior quality of the 10th generation, I still found the car to be a good purchase. The interior plastics were not as soft-to-the-touch as I would have liked and they scratched easily, but with due care, I was able to maintain the car's appearance. Overall, I was satisfied with my purchase despite the minor issues with the interior quality.
