THE PARTS TO DO THE REPAIRS WERE UNAVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIRS. THE DEALER WAS CONTACTED (PUTNAM CADILLAC IN BURLINGAME, CA, 650-342-9500) AND CONFIRMED THAT THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE FOR THE RECALL REMEDY.   • Manufacturer: General Motors LLC
  • Components: AIR BAGS:FRONTAL:DRIVER SIDE:INFLATOR MODULE
  • Summary: General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain model year 2006-2011 Saab 9-3 vehicles manufactured May 31, 2002, to February 15, 2011, 2006-2009 Saab 9-5 vehicles manufactured June 7, 2005, to May 28, 2009, and 2008-2009 Saturn Astra vehicles manufactured April 11, 2007, to July 24, 2008. Upon deployment of the driver's frontal air bag, excessive internal pressure may cause the inflator to rupture.
  • Consequence: In the event of a crash necessitating deployment of the driver's frontal air bag, the inflator could rupture with metal fragments striking the driver or other occupants resulting in serious injury or death.
  • Remedy: GM will notify owners, and dealers will replace the driver's frontal air bag inflator on Saab 9-3 and 9-5 vehicles and will replace the driver's frontal airbag module on Saturn Astra vehicles, free of charge. The recall began on March 1, 2017. Owners may contact Saab customer service at 1-800-955-9007 or Saturn customer service at 1-800-553-6000. GM's number for this recall is 28810.

  • Summary: General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain model year 2004-2011 Saab 9-3 Convertible vehicles manufactured July 30, 2003, to February 15, 2011. In the affected vehicles, the driver's side front seat belt retractor may break, causing the seat belt webbing not to retract.
  • Consequence: In the event of a crash, a seat belt that has not retracted may not properly restrain the seat occupant, increasing their risk of injury.
  • Remedy: GM will notify owners, and dealers will replace the driver's seat belt retractor, free of charge. The recall began on October 6, 2015. Owners may contact Saab customer service at 1-800-955-9007. GM's number for this recall is 14222. Note: Special Coverage 10086 will replace the passenger side seat belt retractor if it fails, free of charge, for the life of the vehicle.

  • Summary: TI AUTOMOTIVE IS RECALLING CERTAIN FUEL PUMPS, PART NUMBERS TU456 AND TU303, SOLD UNDER VARIOUS BRAND NAMES AS AFTERMARKET AND REPLACEMENT EQUIPMENT FOR THE MOTOR VEHICLES LISTED ABOVE. THE DEFECTIVE FUEL PUMP MAY SEIZE, STOPPING THE FUEL FLOW TO THE ENGINE CREATING A STALLING CONDITION.
  • Consequence: A VEHICLE CRASH COULD OCCUR SHOULD THE ENGINE STALL WHILE IN USE.
  • Remedy: TI AUTOMOTIVE WILL NOTIFY OWNERS OF RECORD AND WILL REPLACE ANY DEFECTIVE FUEL PUMP WITH A NEW OR REWORKED FUEL PUMP FREE OF CHARGE. THE SAFETY RECALL BEGAN ON FEBRUARY 22, 2011. OWNERS MAY CONTACT TI AUTOMOTIVE AT 1-866-867-3759 OR LOG ON TO WWW.RECALLRESPONSE.COM.

    Although the car is fun to drive, it has unfortunately been plagued with numerous issues such as rattling noises throughout the interior and persistent electrical problems with the radio, windows, sunroof, and blinkers. As a result, I regret purchasing this car and cannot recommend it. It is important to note that while all new cars may ride nicely at the beginning, not all are able to maintain that level of quality.

    Hello! I hope you're doing well. I just wanted to share my experience with my car. I've had it for a year now and I must say, it has been a great ride! It has been a perfect fit for me and my family in all kinds of situations, from the busy streets of Houston, TX to the snowy roads of Pittsburgh, PA and even the mountainous terrain of Reno, NV. It has also been a reliable companion on long road trips, sometimes even getting up to 33 mpg! One of my favourite features is the manual-mode, which not only helps with gas mileage, but also makes driving across the Sierra Mountains a breeze. Overall, I find this car to be a lot of fun to drive! As a mechanical engineer, I did a lot of research before choosing the Saab over the BMW 3-series and Audi A4 sportwagons, and I'm glad I did.     I sold Saab in the early to mid 90's and that is when I developed a love for these cars...all I had to do was drive one. The love affair definitely continues with this car. From the quirky center console ignition (thank's for keeping it!) to the outstanding performance, to the polished sophisticated look of the hard boot... it's all good. What a great car!

    Follow up to original review. I'm glad to hear that your Saab 2006 93 SportCombi Aero with 25K miles is still fun to drive and hasn't had any major problems. It's great to know that there have been no changes in acceleration, steering or braking. The warrantied service you received, which included tightening some bolts on the rear door, was definitely necessary after driving over road construction for three months and experiencing lots of vibration. The cargo space is very useful, and the folding seats have saved you many times. I'm happy to hear that you actually use the retractable cargo cover, especially when leaving valuables in the car or groceries in the sun. It's great that everyone loves the seats, and that they are very comfortable, even for someone as tall as you (6'3

    I recently purchased a 2006 9-3 sedan and I must say, it's been an amazing experience so far! The car is so smooth and comfortable that I often find myself going over the speed limit without even realizing it. The handling is simply incredible, especially on the on and off ramps to the highway. However, I do have a few suggestions for improvement. Firstly, the radio could be better, even though I have the premium package with an upgraded radio. Secondly, the road noise is a bit loud for a luxury sedan, even at 55 mph. Thirdly, I think the steering wheel would feel even better if it was wrapped in leather instead of the plastic/rubber material. Lastly, the bottom of the front seats could be a bit firmer. Overall, I am absolutely in love with my new car!
