It has also been sold as Mitsubishi Lancer Fortis in Taiwan with a different facelift than the Galant Fortis. In Japan, it was sold at a specific retail chain called Car Plaza.
Between its introduction in 1973 and 2008, over six million units were sold. There have been ten generations of Lancers.
Mitsubishi ended production of the Lancer in August 2017 worldwide, with the exception of Taiwan and China. An extensive facelift was given to the car by Pininfarina's Chinese offices.

We took ot to mitsubishi dealer in Augusta maine the next morning since the incident happened at 840pm on thursday 3/17/22 in Woolwich We were hopping for servicing to see if it could be reattached and cables fixes jad the dealer disable the moonroof and closed the sunroof. We have an 08 lancer that had the recall and fixed the year prior now our 2013 actually has it happen and currently had no recall . The dealer as of Friday approximately at 340 told us the whole assembly has to be replaced. Way to expensive for use to replace at the moment we were quoted $1740

IT DOESN'T MATTER IF THE CAR IS ON THE HIGHWAY OR IN A RESIDENTIAL AREA, THIS ISSUE EXISTS.

This car has a very unique appearance and you will hardly ever see another one like it. It has been the most dependable car I have ever owned, requiring nothing but routine maintenance. Although it has been driven for 107k miles in less than 4 years, it still handles great. However, it could use more horsepower (I believe it has 148HP). While I am not a fan of the CVT transmission, it is acceptable once you get used to it. If you are looking for extremely dependable transportation with unique looks at a great price, this car is a good candidate. It is unfortunate that the resale value is weak, but I am more than satisfied with mine.

Looking to replace my 2004 Mazda RX8 was no small task, especially considering I didn't want a dedicated sports car. After trying out a lot of cars, I kept coming back to this one. It may not be the fastest, but the AWD, dual clutch transmission, and overall look really sold me. It's fun to drive, handles well, and doesn't beat you up with an overly stiff ride like most sporty cars. I do regret not opting for the Recaro package, as I have a bad back and the standard seats cause discomfort on long drives (seat upgrade is in the works). I do wish it had a telescoping wheel, as well as a louder turn signal and horn. Overall, it's a great car for the money and I love it!

This is a great alternative to the others in its class. It has awesome looks, great handling, and is pretty quiet. The ride is very good on the expressway, but around town on less than average roads, it tends to buck a bit. The hatch offers more space than the sedan. However, in my opinion, the taillights are the biggest let down compared to the sedans. The CVT is perfect for people who prioritize mileage over performance. You can play with the paddle shifters and never have to worry about over-revving the engine. It still steps out nicely, but you won't win any drag races off the line. My mileage has been great, doing 70-80 on the highway I get 29.3 mpg, and keeping a solid 55 MPH pace I usually get over 35. Around town, I normally get about 25.

Hi there! I recently got my 2010 Lancer GTS Sportback and unfortunately ran into some trouble. After hearing a grinding noise and seeing the low oil pressure light come on, I had to have it towed to the dealer. They informed me that the oil pump had gone out, the short engine block needed to be replaced, and there was an overlapping valve. It's definitely not what I was expecting from a brand new car with only 2 miles on it, but I know Mitsubishi cars are reliable and I just happened to get the rare 1 in 1000. The dealer has had my car for 2 weeks now, but I'm looking forward to getting it back soon. Overall, it's a great car and I can't wait to hit the road again!

Hey there! I just wanted to share my recent experience with the local Mitsubishi dealer. I was pleasantly surprised to find a few 2010 Mitsus still available on the lot, so I decided to take a look. To my delight, I stumbled upon a Black on Black Lancer GTS Sportback that was still available. It's a beautiful car that performs and handles great, and I'm also getting fantastic gas mileage. The dash display provides plenty of MPG info to help you drive smart, while still maintaining its sporty nature. I've read some reviews that complain about the plastics in the interior, but one thing they fail to mention is that the dull finish plastics do not reflect the sun, so glare is practically non-existent in this car. Overall, I find the interior to be quite comfortable. Thanks for listening!

The ride quality could be improved as it feels uncomfortable on bumpy roads and the road noise is noticeable. Additionally, the rear view is obstructed by the low hatchback and headrests, which can make parking and backing up difficult. The stability control could also be improved. However, the car has good fuel economy and the dashboard, while made of plastic, is functional. Overall, there is room for improvement but the car has some positive features as well.
