This issue has been reported within the first 25,000 miles and can be caused by a variety of issues, including faulty sensors or other mechanical problems. To diagnose the issue, an OBD-II scan tool can be used to determine the source of the problem. Repair costs can vary depending on the issue, ranging from $20 to $800.
- Windows Not Rolling Down: Another issue reported by some 2019 GLC owners is that the windows do not roll down. This problem has been reported at around 30,000 miles and is usually caused by worn-out window motors. Replacing the window motors can cost around $550, depending on local labor rates.
- Frozen Stereo System: Some GLC models have experienced a frozen stereo system within the first 1,000 miles. This issue can be resolved with software updates that improve the reliability of the stereo system. Most dealerships will update the software for free, while others may charge around $100 for labor.
- Steering Issues: One of the most serious recalls on the 2019 Mercedes-Benz GLC is a loss of power steering, which can increase the risk of an accident. Mercedes will replace the steering units on affected models for free.
- High Repair Costs: Due to the high parts and labor costs associated with Mercedes-Benz vehicles, repair costs for the 2019 GLC are more expensive than average. This is something to consider when purchasing a used GLC, as regular annual maintenance costs are higher than average at $1,013 per year.
