Lamborghini Gallardo 2004 problems
The Lamborghini Gallardo (/ɡaɪˈjɑːrdoʊ/; Spanish: ) is a sports car built by the Italian automotive manufacturer Lamborghini from 2003 to 2013. It is Lamborghini's second car released under parent company Audi, and the best-selling model at the time with 14,022 built throughout its production run. Named after a famous breed of fighting bull, the V10 powered Gallardo has been Lamborghini's sales leader and stable-mate to a succession of V12 flagship models—first to the Murciélago (4,099 built between 2001 and 2010), then to the Aventador, being the first entry-level Lamborghini in one-and-half decades. On 25 November 2013, the last Gallardo was rolled off the production line. The Gallardo was replaced by the Huracán in 2014.
Overview
After Megatech purchased Automobili Lamborghini S.P.A in 1994, Italdesign Giugiaro was hired to design concept cars to replace their existing cars. One of the concepts built by them was the Lamborghini Calà, built to replace the Lamborghini Jalpa and was displayed at the 1995 Geneva Motor Show.
After the Volkswagen AG took hold of the company in 1998, the Lamborghini Gallardo was built on the basis of the Calà and had many features absorbed from the concept car such as the exterior design and the traditional V10 engine.
The car name is taken from the 18th century Spanish bullfighting breeder Francisco Gallardo. It means "gallant".

Common Lamborghini Gallardo 2004 problems
The Lamborghini Gallardo, produced from 2004 to 2013, is a highly desirable supercar known for its performance and style. However, like any vehicle, it has some common issues that potential buyers should be aware of.
- Transmission Issues: The E-gear transmission, an automated manual transmission, has been reported to have problems, including slipping gears and difficulty shifting.
- Brake Pad Squealing: Some owners have mentioned experiencing squeaky brakes, which can be addressed by removing and cleaning all brake pads, applying noise-reduction lubricant, and deglazing all brake rotors.
- Oil Leaks: Early Gallardo models are susceptible to oil leaks, particularly around the oil pan and the rear main seal. It is essential to have these areas inspected and addressed as needed.
- Paintwork Issues: While the paint match between panels may not be perfect from the factory, a glaring mismatch is a strong indicator of paintwork. Check the door jams and hinges for any signs of shoddy paintwork or repairs. They are often the areas that get the least attention from a body shop. Also, run your fingers along the edges of the hood, doors, and panels to feel for any inconsistencies.
- Wheels and Tires: Gallardo's are highly sensitive to tire-related issues. A slight pressure difference in the rear tires can cause significant pulling and twisting during acceleration or throttle. The primary cause of such issues, however, is the use of aftermarket wheels. While modifying your Gallardo to suit your preferences is understandable, it's essential to be aware of the potential consequences.
These common issues do not necessarily make the Lamborghini Gallardo a poor choice for a supercar, but they are essential considerations for potential buyers. Performing a Pre-Purchase Inspection (PPI) from an authorized dealer or an experienced mechanic is highly recommended to identify any potential problems before purchasing.

It is as reliable as any super car from 2004 as sensors go out all the time, but other than that the car is pretty rock solid.
How reliable is the Lamborghini Gallardo?
This Lamborghini is by far the most reliable and best performing Lambo I have owned. I owned a 1970 Miura, 1985 Countach and 1990 Testarossa plus all the Corvettes up to 1996. The Gallardo was so far above in performance and reliability I just giggled every time I drove it.

Why are Gallardos so cheap?
Its price was so enticing in fact, it became the best-selling car Lamborghini had produced, with over 14,000 sales. However, because of this, the Gallardo is not as rare as other Lambos. Common supply and demand rules indicate that when demand is lower, so is the price, as is the case with the Gallardo now.

The car is faster than any other car I own. It makes my 550 Ferrari seem like a minivan. I love it!

This is one of Lamborghini's finest cars yet! As a fellow Lamborghini collector, I absolutely love this new sporty Gallardo! While it may not be as fast or expensive as the Murcielago, it is still one of the best cars around. You could compare it to a Ferrari 360 or a Porsche 911! It is definitely up there in the rankings! Trust me, you will not be disappointed with this new Bull!

If you're searching for excellent value for money, you've come to the right place. The AWD's stability, combined with side and head airbags, makes it a safe supercar for all seasons. While it may not be as polished as a Porsche Turbo or match the exceptional handling, sound, excitement, and outright dazzling performance of the 360 CS, it's still a highly capable machine for all four seasons.

The Lamborghini Gallardo is one of the best cars that Lamborghini has ever designed. Its performance is exceptional, and I absolutely adore the 0-60mph and top speed that this beauty can achieve. In my opinion, the price of this Lambo is just right when compared to the Ferrari 360. I particularly appreciate its sleek lines.
