ERIC TOOK INFO AND CASE #12707877 AND ESCALATED TO REGIONAL OFFICE. ON 5/1/18 RECEIVED CALL FROM BRUCE 520-770-4888 AND SAID ACCORDING TO DISTRICT MANAGER, CAR SURPASSED 60,000 MILE WARRANTY. S.H. KIA TO WRITE ESTIMATE AS TO REPAIR COST. ALSO FOUND LEFT COIL SPRING BROKEN $251.99 COST OF REPAIR. TOLD HIM I WAS WAITING TO HEAR FROM REGIONAL OFFICE ABOUT CRADLE BEFORE I WOULD CONSIDER FIXING ANYTHING. BRUCE ALSO SAID THAT HE COULD NOT GIVE ME A WRITTEN REFUSAL TO COVER ENGINE CRADLE, AND THAT KIA DEALERSHIP WOULD PROVIDE THAT INFORMATION. SPOKE WITH MATT ON 5/2/18 ABOUT THIS REFUSAL AND HE DID NOT SEEM TO BE ABLE TO COME FORTH WITH SUCH. NOTIFIED NHTSA/NAKILA WHO TOOK MY INFORMATION AND TOLD ME TO CALL PA ATTORNEY GENERALS OFFICE AND PROVIDE INFORMATION TO THEM. CALLED S.H. KIA AND LEFT VOICE MAIL MESSAGE WITH MATT REGARDING 2012 RECALL #12V014000 AIRBAG CLOCK SPRING ASSEMBLY AND TO VERIFY IT HAD BEEN DONE AND IF NOT TO COMPLETE FIX. S.H. KIA DID TAKE PHOTO OF UNDERSIDE OF CAR TO SUBMIT TO KIA REGIONAL AND I WILL FORWARD THIS ON TO YOU. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has issued 3 recalls for different components of the 2007 Kia Rondo.

- Summary: Kia Motors Corporation (Kia) is recalling certain model year 2007-2010 Rondo, model year 2007-2011 Sedona, Sorento and Sportage, model year 2010-2011 Soul, model year 2008-2011 Optima, model year 2010 Forte, model year 2007-2009 Amanti, and model year 2009 Borrego vehicles. Originally, in April 2013, Kia recalled 623,658 model year 2007-2010 Rondo and Sportage, model year 2007-2011 Sorento, model year 2007 Sedona, model year 2010-2011 Soul, and model year 2011 Optima vehicles. In September 2013, Kia informed the agency that it was adding an additional 356,719 vehicles to this campaign. The total number of vehicles being recalled is now 980,377. In the affected vehicles, the stop lamp switch may malfunction. A malfunctioning stop lamp switch may cause the brake lights to not illuminate when the brake pedal is depressed or may cause an inability to deactivate the cruise control by depressing the brake pedal. Additionally, a malfunctioning stop lamp switch may also result in intermittent operation of the push-button start feature, affect the operation of the brake-transmission shift interlock feature preventing the shifter from being moved out of the PARK position and cause the Electronic Stability Control (ESC) malfunction light to illuminate.
- Consequence: Failure to illuminate the stop lamps during braking or inability to disengage the cruise control could increase the risk of a crash. Additionally, when the ignition is in the 'ON' position, the transmission shifter may be able to be moved out of PARK without first applying the brake. This may lead to unintentional movement of the car which may increase the risk of a crash.
- Remedy: Kia will send an interim notification to owners in May 2013. When parts are available, owners will receive a second notification and dealers will replace the stop lamp switch, free of charge. Owners may contact Kia at 1-800-333-4542. Kia's recall campaign number is SC098.

In May, we purchased the Rondo after considering the Hyundai Sante Fe, Mazda5, and Honda Element. We were searching for a safe and reliable vehicle that wouldn't break the bank. Even with two kids and a dog, a full-size minivan was out of the question. The interior room and quiet comfortable ride of this car are unbelievable, and the back seat has significantly more leg and head room than our Subaru Outback. Additionally, with the V6, it is much faster than the Subaru. Although the third row seat is a bit tight, it's perfect for the extra kid or two you end up with after soccer games. With the back seats down, you're left with tons of cargo space.

I posted on this car about a year ago and I still love it! This car is amazing in the snow! Just 2 days ago, we got about 10 inches of snow in Grand Rapids MI and the car plowed through it without any issues, even before the roads were plowed! I am extremely pleased with this car as we get good mileage, about 21 mpg every time, mostly city.

I bought a vehicle in July to drive cross-country. I found that my Rondo was more comfortable than its replacement or my 04 Subaru Outback. The gas mileage was also respectable. Over 2900 miles of mostly highway driving, the Rondo averaged approximately 20 MPG. While driving through the California desert, the car cabin was comfortably cooled by the AC. However, I noticed that the MPG was heavily reduced by speeds exceeding 60 MPH and the use of AC. I have also found that on my 80-mile round-trip work commute, which is mainly highway, the mileage drops well below 20 MPG.

As someone over 50, I really enjoy driving the Rondo. It's a shame that there isn't a power seat, but the seats themselves are spacious and comfortable. The only downside is that it's easy to drop things between the seat and the console, so it would be great if they could provide an extraction tool. I do have a couple of suggestions for improvements though - it would be helpful if the high beam indicator was moved down slightly, as it can get blocked by the top of the wheel. Also, as a smoker, I think it would be fantastic if there were pop open rear 1/4 windows.

In August 2007, we made a smart move and bought a Kia Rondo. It has been a great car for us, getting an average of about 23 mpg and being easy to get in and out of with great visibility and handling. The only issue we have encountered is temporary loss of power steering when driving through puddles of water, but there is a button you can push to prevent this. Living in MI, we have been experiencing blizzards lately, but the ESC has been a lifesaver, automatically pumping the brakes and keeping the car in control when sliding. I highly recommend this car to anyone.

I found the Rondo to be an interesting vehicle due to its fuel mileage and 7 seats. It has a spacious interior without looking too bulky. While the fuel mileage was not as great as I expected, it was still decent. However, I did experience some issues with the brakes locking up in snowy and bumpy conditions, which made me feel unsafe while driving. Despite taking it to the dealership, they were unable to find any problems. I am considering trying snow tires to see if that helps. Unfortunately, I did not receive much assistance from the dealership. As someone who has owned many different cars and is not usually afraid of driving in the snow, I am disappointed that I do not feel safe in this vehicle during snowy conditions and will have to avoid driving it in those situations.

I bought this car a year ago and unfortunately, I've been experiencing some issues with its performance during the winter. It seems that if there's more or less than an inch of snow, the car struggles to move and just spins its wheels. Additionally, I had to have it towed out of a lawn because it was only spinning and not gaining any traction. Despite having brand new all-season tires, the car still struggles to get going. I'm also a bit concerned about the factory-provided rack for my kayaks. It seems a bit weak and I worry that it might not be able to handle the weight. Furthermore, it's not wide enough to accommodate the length of my kayaks. Overall, I've been a bit disappointed with this vehicle, especially during the harsh Maine winters.

I recently purchased a Kia Rondo to replace my old Eagle Summit Wagon, which I had for years. So far, the Rondo has been a reliable car with no need for repairs, having clocked 27,000 miles. However, I have grown to dislike it due to its poor handling. At around 65 mph, the steering wheel vibrates uncomfortably, and the cabin is quite noisy at highway speeds, forcing me to turn up the radio volume. I feel that for a little more money, I could have bought a much nicer car. Additionally, the resale value of the Rondo is not great. If you're looking for a small van that holds its value better, I would recommend the Mazda 5 instead.

I was satisfied with my vehicle until I needed some work done. Although the sensor that controls the accelerator was not covered under the powertrain warranty, I was able to have it fixed. Additionally, I had to replace the timing belt at 60,000 miles to maintain my warranty. While the upkeep can be expensive, it is necessary to keep the vehicle running smoothly. Although the gas mileage and night visibility could be improved, overall I am confident in the quality of my Kia. While I may consider other options in the future, I appreciate the service I have received from Kia.

Although I was initially told that the gas mileage of this car was great, I have unfortunately experienced a number of issues with it. Despite having to return to the dealer multiple times for repairs, the car still howls and the window deicers have stopped working. Additionally, the low profile tires make turnpike driving uncomfortable and the seats are prone to staining. However, I am confident that these issues can be resolved and I am working with the dealer to find a solution. Thank you for your understanding.
