- Summary: MY WIFE IS COMPLAINING ABOUT THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY INCREASING IN SPEED OUT OF NOWHERE SHE HITS THE BRAKES AND IT CONTINUES TO INCREASE IN SPEED BOATS ON THE HIGHWAY AND ON CITY STREETS. THE BRAKES DO NOT WORK AS THE SPEED INCREASES ON THE SPEED PETAL SHE HAS TWO PUMP IT SEVERAL TIMES AFTER SEVERAL MINUTES BEFORE IT SLOWS DOWN. MY KIDS WERE IN THE CAR WITH HER WHEN THIS HAPPENED THEY HAD THEIR SEATBELTS ON AND THEY WERE THROWN FORWARD VERY VIOLENTLY AS THE BRAKES HAD TO BE APPLIED VERY VERY HARD TO GET IT TO SLOW DOWN.

- Consequence: FUEL MAY LEAK FROM THE PRESSURE SENSOR, INCREASING THE RISK OF A FIRE.
- Remedy: NISSAN WILL NOTIFY OWNERS, AND DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE FUEL PRESSURE SENSORS, AS NECESSARY, FREE OF CHARGE. THE SAFETY RECALL BEGAN ON APRIL 2, 2012. OWNERS MAY CONTACT NISSAN CUSTOMER SERVICE AT 1-800-647-7261.
