Hyundai Xg350 problems

The Hyundai Grandeur (Korean: 현대 그랜저) is an executive sedan manufactured and marketed by the South Korean manufacturer Hyundai since 1986, over five generations.
From 1986 to 1996, the Grandeur was the flagship for Hyundai's South Korean range before the Hyundai Dynasty was introduced. It is marketed globally as the Hyundai Azera. As the Azera, it was the flagship of Hyundai's US and Canadian lineup until the arrival of the Genesis sedan. After the launch of the separate Genesis brand, the Grandeur/Azera resumed its place as the company's flagship.
As of the 2017 model year, the Azera is no longer marketed in the United States and Canada. The sedan continued to be available in South Korea and the Middle East.

Common Hyundai Xg350 problems
The Hyundai XG350, a car from the year 2003, is known to have several common problems based on complaints from its owners. These issues include defects in the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) system, problems with the fuel tank, poor shift quality, suspension issues, seat belt malfunctions, electrical system problems, and body paint concerns.
One of the most frequently reported problems with the Hyundai XG350 is a defective EGR system, which can cause an intermittent or unstable engine idle. The EGR system is responsible for recirculating a portion of the exhaust gases back into the engine to reduce emissions and improve fuel efficiency. However, when the EGR valve switches fail, it can lead to a rough or unstable engine idle. The average cost to replace this component is between $180 and $220.
Another common complaint among Hyundai XG350 owners is related to the fuel tank. Some owners have reported issues with the fuel line causing the pump to kick off prematurely when adding gas. This can result in the pump clicking off as if the tank is full, even after less than $1 has been added. This problem can be frustrating and may require the attention of a professional mechanic to diagnose and resolve.
Issues with poor shift quality have also been reported by Hyundai XG350 owners. In some cases, replacing the transmission fluid has been found to resolve the problem. However, in other instances, the transmission control module may need to be updated with the latest software to improve shift quality. This issue can be particularly problematic, as it can affect the overall driving experience and may require costly repairs to resolve.
Suspension problems have also been reported by Hyundai XG350 owners. These issues can range from minor annoyances, such as squeaky or noisy suspension components, to more serious problems, such as worn-out or damaged suspension parts. In some cases, these issues may require the replacement of suspension components, which can be costly and time-consuming to repair.
Seat belt malfunctions have also been reported by Hyundai XG350 owners. In some cases, the seat belts may not retract properly or may become stuck in the locked position. This can be a safety hazard and may require the attention of a professional mechanic to diagnose and resolve.
Electrical system problems have also been reported by Hyundai XG350 owners. These issues can range from minor annoyances, such as intermittent electrical failures or malfunctioning lights, to more serious problems, such as complete electrical failures. In some cases, these issues may require the replacement of electrical components, which can be costly and time-consuming to repair.
Body paint concerns have also been reported by Hyundai XG350 owners. These issues can range from minor scratches or chips in the paint to more serious problems, such as peeling or fading paint. In some cases, these issues may require the attention of a professional body shop to diagnose and resolve.
In summary, the Hyundai XG350, a car from the year 2003, is known to have several common problems based on complaints from its owners. These issues include defects in the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) system, problems with the fuel tank, poor shift quality, suspension issues, seat belt malfunctions, electrical system problems, and body paint concerns. These issues can be frustrating and may require the attention of a professional mechanic to diagnose and resolve.

You have a fantastic driving machine that performs well both on the road and in the city. It's great to hear that you enjoy driving the car and that others appreciate the car's trim and finish.

When I was looking for a sedan, I went on more than 10 test drives. I discovered that the XG350 was the only car that had both luxury and performance without costing 20%-30% more money like other cars. To be completely honest, the BMW was the nicest car I drove, but it wasn't ten thousand dollars nicer than the XG. When you add in the 100,000 mile coverage, it was an easy decision. I know some people who bought Hyundai's in the 90's and had bad experiences, but the XG series (introduced in 2001) has learned from past mistakes. After a year and 14K miles, I would still highly recommend the XG350.

I recently traded in my 2002 Buick LeSabre for the XG350 and I must say, it was a great decision. I drove it for 700 miles without any issues and found it to be extremely comfortable, especially for long distance drives. I got an amazing deal from Harrelson Hyundai in Charlotte NC, who still have 4 new 2005's on the lot. We tested the 2006 Sonata, 2006 Accord, sat in the 2006 G6, Lacrosse, Lucerne and Ford 500, as well as the 2007 Camry, but we found the XG350 to be the best option. It's easy to drive, with logically laid out controls and more features than the others, all at a lower price. We even managed to lower our monthly payment by $125. Overall, I highly recommend the XG350 to anyone in the market for a new car.

I've been driving my xg 350 for over a month now and I absolutely love it! I've read some reviews that complain about the handling, but I haven't experienced any issues myself. In fact, I find that my car handles very well. I've even pushed it to 92 mph at 3000 rpm and it still felt smooth and controlled. Of course, I'm not interested in finding out the top speed - I'm perfectly happy driving at a safe and comfortable speed. If you're looking for a car to take on a rally, you might want to consider a BMW, but for everyday driving, the xg 350 is a fantastic choice!

The GX350L is truly a hidden gem that many consumers have yet to discover! It boasts all the creature comforts of more expensive cars, without the hefty price tag. This car has it all - it's fun to drive, smooth on the highway, and handles bumps with ease. I highly recommend it to anyone and always take the opportunity to do so. It's also an eye-catcher - many people mistake it for a Continental, Acura, or Mercedes due to its striking resemblance. As for the Edmunds Editors' ratings, I respectfully disagree with their assessment.

The car is highly reliable, although there is an annoying squeak in the steering wheel when turning. The dealership has identified the issue as the clockspring, which is a known problem in all XG350's. Unfortunately, even with a new clockspring, the issue persists. It is worth noting that the CD player stopped working shortly after the warranty expired. Despite these minor issues, the car remains a dependable choice.

I recently purchased this car at 180k and made some minor repairs before getting it registered. Unfortunately, after driving only 200 miles, the water pump failed and required a repair costing at least $600. Additionally, I discovered that the car was leaking power steering fluid, which the previous owner did not disclose to me. Despite leaving a bottle of power steering fluid in the back, I unknowingly ran it dry, which could potentially lead to further issues and expenses. However, the engine runs smoothly and quietly. It's worth noting that repairs for this car can be quite expensive.

I've owned this vehicle for about 14 months now and overall, I'm satisfied with my purchase. I bought it used in good condition for a great price. Recently, it started running very rough and I took it to the dealership. They informed me that the plug wires had rotted after 4 years, which they said is common for Hyundai. Unfortunately, Hyundai considers this 'wear and tear' and will not cover it under warranty. While I had heard mixed reviews about their 'America's Best Warranty', I now have first-hand experience. If you're able to purchase a Hyundai in good condition for a good price, it's not a bad ride. However, based on my experience and opinion, I will not be purchasing a new Hyundai as their warranty promises are not kept. I'll be going back to Toyota.

I bought this car used with 40k miles on it. Unfortunately, the engine failed at 115k miles. If you own or plan to buy this car, I highly recommend changing the timing belt at 70k miles. The belt is made of pressed fiber and needs to be replaced to avoid engine damage. Unlike non-interference engines, the Korean v6 is an interference engine, which means that if the timing belt fails, the engine will be severely damaged. We have always used Mobil One synthetic oil and have had great success with our two American v6 cars, one with 180k miles and the other with 225k miles, and we have never had to change the timing belt. Although the XG350 had a rattle in the driver's side trunk, it was comfortable on long trips. However, it was not very fun to drive. While I do not recommend this car and will not be purchasing another Hyundai, your experience may differ.

You can enjoy all the amenities of a Lexus or Caddie without breaking the bank with the Hyundai. Although it may not be as refined as some of its competitors, it still offers a lot of options. Occasionally, when starting the car, there may be a slight surge when touching the gas pedal, or it may take a moment to accelerate, but these issues usually resolve themselves within 20 seconds. Overall, I am very pleased with the car. The transmission is smooth and the steering feels good. I would definitely consider buying another Hyundai in the future.
