After the launch of the separate Genesis brand, the Grandeur/Azera resumed its place as the company's flagship.

As of the 2017 model year, the Azera is no longer marketed in the United States and Canada. The sedan continued to be available in South Korea and the Middle East.

    I recently purchased this car at 180k and made some minor repairs before getting it registered. Unfortunately, after driving only 200 miles, the water pump failed and required a repair costing at least $600. Additionally, I discovered that the car was leaking power steering fluid, which the previous owner did not disclose to me. Despite leaving a bottle of power steering fluid in the back, I unknowingly ran it dry, which could potentially lead to further issues and expenses. However, the engine runs smoothly and quietly. It's worth noting that repairs for this car can be quite expensive.

    I've owned this vehicle for about 14 months now and overall, I'm satisfied with my purchase. I bought it used in good condition for a great price. Recently, it started running very rough and I took it to the dealership. They informed me that the plug wires had rotted after 4 years, which they said is common for Hyundai. Unfortunately, Hyundai considers this 'wear and tear' and will not cover it under warranty. While I had heard mixed reviews about their 'America's Best Warranty', I now have first-hand experience. If you're able to purchase a Hyundai in good condition for a good price, it's not a bad ride. However, based on my experience and opinion, I will not be purchasing a new Hyundai as their warranty promises are not kept. I'll be going back to Toyota.

    I bought this car used with 40k miles on it. Unfortunately, the engine failed at 115k miles. If you own or plan to buy this car, I highly recommend changing the timing belt at 70k miles. The belt is made of pressed fiber and needs to be replaced to avoid engine damage. Unlike non-interference engines, the Korean v6 is an interference engine, which means that if the timing belt fails, the engine will be severely damaged. We have always used Mobil One synthetic oil and have had great success with our two American v6 cars, one with 180k miles and the other with 225k miles, and we have never had to change the timing belt. Although the XG350 had a rattle in the driver's side trunk, it was comfortable on long trips. However, it was not very fun to drive. While I do not recommend this car and will not be purchasing another Hyundai, your experience may differ.

    You can enjoy all the amenities of a Lexus or Caddie without breaking the bank with the Hyundai. Although it may not be as refined as some of its competitors, it still offers a lot of options. Occasionally, when starting the car, there may be a slight surge when touching the gas pedal, or it may take a moment to accelerate, but these issues usually resolve themselves within 20 seconds. Overall, I am very pleased with the car. The transmission is smooth and the steering feels good. I would definitely consider buying another Hyundai in the future.

    I bought my car new in 2005 and I absolutely love the way it handles and the amount of space it provides. However, shortly after my purchase, the airbag light came on. Unfortunately, for the first four years, I had to take it back to the shop about four times for repairs to the wiring under the seat. Although I had a few years without any problems, the airbag light came on again about a year ago, which means no airbags. I contacted the Hyundai shop and they informed me that it would cost almost $200 just to check it out. If it can be fixed, the $200 will apply to the bill, but who knows what that will be. Despite this, I have decided to keep driving it, but every time I see that red light, I pray that the airbags are not needed. I agree with a lot of people who have also posted about this problem, that there needs to be a recall. Even though the airbag on my Hyundai has not worked since my last comment, which is a concern for any front seat passengers, I am very short, so I have to move the seat very close to the steering wheel, which means I am probably better off. I have heard many stories of people getting hurt from the airbag. I still think there should be a recall because just fixing the current problem only lasts a short time.

    After 7 years with the car that was bought new, I have been mostly satisfied with it. However, there is one area of dissatisfaction that I have experienced. The interior overhead lamps (right and left), over the dash are extremely dim. Despite many trips to the dealer, they were unable to fix the issue and informed me that there is nothing that can be done. It has been this way since new. I am considering purchasing an Equus next year.
