2022 Ford Bronco problems
The Ford Bronco is a model line of SUVs manufactured and marketed by Ford. The first SUV model developed by the company, five generations of the Bronco were sold from the 1966 to 1996 model years. A sixth generation of the model line was introduced for the 2021 model year. The nameplate has been used on other Ford SUVs, namely the 1984–1990 Bronco II compact SUV and the 2021 Bronco Sport compact crossover.
Originally developed as a compact off-road vehicle using its own chassis, the Bronco initially competed against the Jeep CJ-5 and International Harvester Scout. For 1978, Ford enlarged the Bronco, making it a short-wheelbase version of the F-Series pickup truck; the full-size Bronco competed against the Chevrolet K5 Blazer and Dodge Ramcharger.
Following a decline in demand for large two-door SUVs, Ford discontinued the Bronco after the 1996 model year, replacing it with the four-door Ford Expedition; followed by the larger Ford Excursion. After a 25-year hiatus, the sixth-generation Bronco is now offered as a mid-size two-door SUV for the first time. It is also offered as a full-size four-door SUV with a 16 in (41 cm) longer wheelbase. It competes directly with the Jeep Wrangler as both a two-door and a four-door (hardtop) convertible.
From 1965 to 1996, the Ford Bronco was manufactured by Ford at its Michigan Truck Plant in Wayne, Michigan, where it also manufactures the sixth-generation version.

EXTERIOR LIGHTING PROBLEM
- Date Of Incident: 2024-03-02
- VIN: 1FMDE5DH7NL
- Components: EXTERIOR LIGHTING
- Summary: I live in Northern California and we have snow. I was driving after dark about 6:30PM and it was snowing. [XXX]. I was on the freeway to head to a high school performance and picking up passengers. I was on the road about 15 minutes and I was suddenly unable to see the road, it was dark and I thought my lights went off. I pulled over, with 3 passengers to find that my headlights were covered in snow and the light was not illuminating the road. I removed the snow and was able to exit at the next offramp about a half mile ahead. I stayed on the side roads that were a bit more protected by large pine trees. I was able to make it to safely, but I was at risk, with my passengers and other vehicles on the road. Thankfully, I was able to move my car later that night to get it home when it stopped snowing. I then called Ford in Auburn the next day and they said they were not aware of this issue but would see me and made an appointment. I then looked online and found many people complaining about this on many vehicles. It stems from the fact that LED lights do not emit heat. The heat is what keeps the snow from accumulating in the first place. The lights continue to be on, but you are only able to see a small glow under the snow until there is enough snow they are not seen at all. I was at the service department today at Auburn Ford that they looked at the vehicle and then looked online and can see other people with the same issue. Ford has not addressed this issue. They suggested I try Rain X or other non stick product. They said I can call ford and place a complaint and I did that today. Case #[XXX] I was then informed that I need to make a claim with the NHTSA to have this claim reviewed. I was absolutely terrified when the road went dark and I was not able to see and I could not be seen by other cars. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE!! There were no warning lamps or messages, no other symptoms or failures. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

ENGINE PROBLEM
- Date Of Incident: 2023-02-01
- VIN: 1FMEE5DH5NL
- Components: ENGINE
- Summary: I have the same complaint that many 2021-2023 Ford Bronco owners have had in regards to the 'scraping/grinding' noise in 1st and 2nd gear. I have seen this on dozens of forums and Ford acknowledged it is an issue. I was told to bring the car in when I was ready for an oil change. This is after being a second day reservation holder and waiting 2.5 years for my car to be built. The dealership told me that the transmission was bad and I needed a new transmission. It will take 10-15 weeks to get a new transmission, and in the meantime all that was offered was a less than ideal rental car (ford edge) and to wait patiently. This is a known issue that the transmissions were faulty, Ford has not been responsive in terms of getting any help/assistance otherwise, and I am not sure if this will even fix the problem. There are hundreds of other owners who have this same issue, and Ford has done nothing.

Hi there! I just wanted to share my experience as the first non-truck buyer in many decades. As an early reservation holder, I had to wait over 18 months to receive my vehicle, but let me tell you, it was definitely worth the wait! Driving it has been an absolute joy.

I ordered a 4 door Big Bend with the 2.3/Manual in February 2022 and received it in June. We absolutely loved it! It had a great ride and handling on and off road. We made a couple of out of state trips, off road park, woods riding and it performed very well with plenty of power. I liked it so much that I started trying to order a higher trim level in October of 2022 but didn’t actually get it ordered until March of 2023. Now, my 4 door Badlands 2.3/Automatic is in shipping from Michigan and I can’t wait to get it!
