2021 Chevrolet Camaro problems

chevrolet logo

The Chevrolet Camaro is a mid-size American automobile manufactured by Chevrolet, classified as a pony car. It first went on sale on September 29, 1966, for the 1967 model year and was designed to compete with the Ford Mustang. The Camaro shared its platform and major components with the Firebird, produced by General Motors' Pontiac division that was also introduced for 1967.

Four distinct generations of the Camaro were developed before production ended in 2002. The nameplate was revived on a concept car that evolved into the fifth-generation Camaro; production started on March 16, 2009.

The Camaro was discontinued at the end of the 2024 model year. Production ended in December 2023. However, Chevrolet has stated, "This is not the end of Camaro's story."

Negative 2021 Chevrolet Camaro car reviews

  1. Sylvester Mayert 2024-04-08

Hey there! I really like your car, but I noticed that the exhaust sounds a bit strange when you accelerate.

  2. Wilburn Effertz 2024-03-22

I rented a convertible with the turbocharged 4. It drove and handled nicely and had all the power you could ask for. It was very quick and speedy, like driving a batmobile. However, the windshield was not very large and the back window was just a slit, which made visibility on the sides not very good. You have to be on guard when changing lanes. It was nice to look at, but the back seat can only be used if you have no legs.

  3. Titus Swaniawski 2024-01-15

I recently purchased my dream car, a 2019 Chevy Camaro convertible, after waiting for 50 years. Unfortunately, I have experienced some issues with the car's quality. Despite this, I remain hopeful that these issues can be resolved. I am disappointed with my experience so far, but I am confident that Chevrolet will work with me to address these concerns. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Positive 2021 Chevrolet Camaro car reviews

  1. Clovis Bradtke 2024-11-15

Love the car! It handles great. The Turbo has plenty of power. Michelle at Chevy Exchange was fantastic!

  2. Edwin Mohr 2024-10-27

I'm so glad to hear that you decided to purchase a 19 after getting rid of your 18 and realizing how much you liked it. It's a shame that GM locked the tuner guys out, but I'm happy to hear that you were able to make a great difference by adding a plug and play tuner to your 18 with a cold air box. Although the visibility may not be the best, it's still a great car overall!

  3. Marshall Swift 2024-10-20

Hey there! That's a great car you have!

  4. Camren Connelly 2024-10-18

Driving this car has been an absolute blast! It's great on gas and handles the road like a dream. It even reminds me of my old C3 Corvette. Although it can be hard to find, the 4 cylinder turbo is smooth and responsive, especially in the stickshift version. The build quality is impressive for a GM product, with good paint and fit. The interior is comfortable and the seats are great, just like my old 1971 Corvette. The ride is even better than a C3 Vette. While the interior is functional, there is minimal storage and the back seat is totally useless. At a steal of a price of $25000, it's definitely worth it. Unfortunately, some dealers may add a second sticker with useless upgrades or add $2000-5000 to the price. Two years later, the car is still going strong with only minor issues caused by a defective battery, which was replaced by the dealership free of charge.

  5. Stanford Sporer 2024-10-06

As the owner of a ‘14 Challenger and ‘04 Monte Carlo SS, I can confidently say that the Camaro in its 6th gen form is an exceptional value. While some folks may never get over the 4 cylinder turbo offering, it's important to remember that it is 2020 and this engine is a great option. Detractors may flail their hands in the air asking where the V8 is, but the Camaro is more than just its engine. I would suggest that first-time drivers or young drivers with little experience avoid the Camaro due to blind spots and overall lack of visibility. However, if you have driving experience, the Camaro is a fine choice. You adjust to the blind spots as you do in any car. I find zero issues driving it. While many reviews are negative on the bunker-like interior, I think it's what makes the Camaro stand out and NOT just another me-too car. If you want outward visibility and 95% views, buy a Kia. Going back and forth between the Challenger and Camaro, there is no mistaking that the Camaro is the sports car. I love that GM offered the LTG engine I4 turbo in this Alpha platform. Coupled with the strong platform and lightweight of the I4, you have the makings of a great handling car. If you want a bigger trunk, buy a Challenger. The Camaro is the girl that gets invited to the Prom because she looks sexy as hell. As someone who was always a V8 or nothing enthusiast, I am pleasantly surprised at how well the turbo engine Camaro performs. Take a look at the aftermarket offerings and you'll see that these inline 4 cylinder boosted cars are quicker than you may think. Sure, there may be some turbo threshold and lag, but it's okay. And I haven't even talked about the lower cost to insure. By the way, if you drive nicely, you can get over 550 miles to a tank. Don't base your buying decisions on reviews alone. Go test drive it and see for yourself!
