THEY'VE DONE ALL SORTS OF TESTS, BUT HAVE FOUND NO LEAKS, ETC. :-( THIS SEEMS LIKE A REALLY DANGEROUS SITUATION WHEN OUR ATTACHED GARAGE FILLS UP WITH GASOLINE VAPORS!!! (HAVE ONLY OWNED THIS CAR FOR APPROXIMATELY 5 WEEKS!) **HOWEVER, THEY DID FIND A FRAYED AND BROKEN SHIFT CABLE! NONE AVAILABLE, AS ALL ARE BACK-ORDERED! TRYING TO LOCATE ONE SOMEWHERE IN THE COUNTRY! ANYWAY, AFTER REVIEWING ALL OF THE MANY COMPLAINTS AND PROBLEMS LISTED ON VARIOUS WEBSITES AND THE OTHER XLR FORUMS, AND DETERMINING THAT WE ARE DEFINITELY NOT ALONE IN THIS REALLY EXPENSIVE SHIFT CABLE FIX, WE BELIEVE THERE'S A DEFINITE MANUFACTURING PROBLEM/DEFECT WITH THIS FAULTY PART!! The XLR is a fantastic car to cruise around in and turn heads of all ages. We love driving it and seeing people's reactions. We've even made new friends all up and down the east coast from people coming up to us when we're parked. The car sounds like a hot rod and definitely delivers on performance. While cabin storage is limited, it has all the luxury features you could ask for.

This is the finest car you have ever owned. The styling and performance are equal to the Mercedes-Benz SL500 but about $25,000 dollars less. It should be recognized by more auto writers as a superb vehicle.

My XLR has been an amazing car! Although there was a minor issue with the top, it was not a big deal. Recently, it required some minor work and it still runs like new. Without a doubt, it is one of the best cars I have ever owned!

What an awesome car! I really enjoyed the old saying, 'the difference between men and boys is the price of their toys'. It's such a fun car to drive and it definitely turns heads. Although, being 79 years old and quite tall, I do find it a bit of a challenge to get in and out of the seat. Additionally, due to the car's low height, it doesn't provide the same smooth ride as a larger Cadillac, like my SRX. However, these minor drawbacks don't take away from the fact that this car is a fantastic toy. It's worth noting that General Motors no longer produces repair parts, but that won't stop me from enjoying this amazing car!

The driving and power performance of this vehicle are impressive. I really enjoy the way it handles and takes corners. It hugs the road. The interior is luxurious and the controls are easy to use. The hard top convertible is an eye-catcher and people always admire what a beautiful car this is.

After conducting extensive research and reading numerous reviews, I would like to share some important information with you. Please be aware that replacement body parts, bumpers, light assemblies, and trim parts are not available for this car, neither in the USA nor abroad, not even in the after-market. This makes insurance extremely expensive and difficult to obtain. However, this car offers great performance, handles well, and is comfortable to ride in, although it has poor mileage. If you are a car collector with plenty of disposable income, this might be a good car for you. Just be cautious and avoid accidents!
