The Cadillac CT4 is a sedan manufactured and marketed by Cadillac. It replaced the Cadillac ATS sedan and sits below the CT5 in Cadillac's lineup. The CT4-V was unveiled on May 30, 2019, followed by the standard CT4 four months later. Cadillac assembles the CT4 at the Lansing Grand River Assembly plant in Lansing, Michigan, as well as in SAIC-GM Jinqiao plant in China.

Overview

The CT4 went on sale in the second quarter of 2020. Following Cadillac's new "Y" trim strategy, the CT4 is offered in base "Luxury" trim, as well as Sport and Premium Luxury trims. The base engine is a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder, producing 237 hp (177 kW; 240 PS) and 258 lb⋅ft (350 N⋅m) torque. Optional with the Premium Luxury is a 2.7-liter turbocharged inline-four, producing 310 hp (231 kW; 314 PS) and 350 lb⋅ft (475 N⋅m) of torque. For 2023, GM China offers a new base engine in the CT4, a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder, producing 208 hp (155 kW; 211 PS) and 199 lb⋅ft (270 N⋅m; 28 kg⋅m) torque.

Cadillac unveiled a high performance variant, the CT4-V, on May 30, 2019 alongside the CT5-V to replace the ATS-V. It is powered by a 2.7-liter turbocharged inline-four producing 325 hp (242 kW; 330 PS) and 380 lb⋅ft (515 N⋅m; 53 kg⋅m) of torque.

Summary: The contact owns a 2024 Cadillac CT4. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the low oil pressure warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer where the rear main seal of the engine was replaced. The contact stated that after the replacement of the rear main seal, while driving at an undisclosed speed, there were abnormally loud sounds coming from the front end of the vehicle, near the engine compartment. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer again where unknown parts were found loosened in the engine from the previous repair. The vehicle was repaired; however, the contact stated that several days later, while driving, the vehicle lost braking functionality. The contact was able to safely drive the vehicle back to the residence. The vehicle was then towed back to the local dealer however, the cause of the failure could not be determined. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 5,200. The VIN was not available.

Summary: In November 2023 I purchased this vehicle. The dealership was made aware of the ripples within a few days of driving the vehicle. The windshield was defective and had to be replaced. The staff at the dealership did see the ripples on the windshield and agreed to replace the windshield. On December 14, 2023, the dealership replaced the original windshield even though they had the windshield since November 22, 2023. Within a few days of driving the vehicle, I noticed it also has ripples on the 2nd windshield. I have been to the dealership two times, and no one can see ripples. I have taken the vehicle to an automotive glass company who confirmed the ripples in the windshield. On February 5, 2024, I took the vehicle to a different dealership. The appointment was scheduled by a General Motors representative. The staff at the second dealership cannot see anything and took pictures to send to General Motors. The ripples in the windshield are distracting when driving in the daytime and nighttime.

I love driving this car! The only legitimate gripe I've read about it is that there's not much space in the back seat. As for the other complaints, they're total flabber babble to me. This car is so responsive and holds the road beautifully. Sure, you could go buy a woke Euro 'sports' car, but I'll stick with this American Caddy.

The car was even better than I expected! It's a classy Black Raven color and fully loaded with all kinds of safety features, including a sound system with 14 speakers. I really enjoy the comfort of the ride and the great looking interior. It's definitely a great choice for anyone looking for a comfortable and stylish car. UPDATE: I still think it's a great looking car with a nice ride, and it has everything you need for a comfortable drive.
