2020 Cadillac Ct4 problems
The Cadillac CT4 is a sedan manufactured and marketed by Cadillac. It replaced the Cadillac ATS sedan and sits below the CT5 in Cadillac's lineup. The CT4-V was unveiled on May 30, 2019, followed by the standard CT4 four months later. Overview
The CT4 went on sale in the second quarter of 2020. Following Cadillac's new "Y" trim strategy, the CT4 is offered in base "Luxury" trim, as well as Sport and Premium Luxury trims. The base engine is a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder, producing 237 hp (177 kW; 240 PS) and 258 lb⋅ft (350 N⋅m) torque. Optional with the Premium Luxury is a 2.7-liter turbocharged inline-four, producing 310 hp (231 kW; 314 PS) and 350 lb⋅ft (475 N⋅m) of torque. For 2023, GM China offers a new base engine in the CT4, a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder, producing 208 hp (155 kW; 211 PS) and 199 lb⋅ft (270 N⋅m; 28 kg⋅m) torque.
CT4-V
Cadillac unveiled a high performance variant, the CT4-V, on May 30, 2019 alongside the CT5-V to replace the ATS-V. It is powered by a 2.7-liter turbocharged inline-four producing 325 hp (242 kW; 330 PS) and 380 lb⋅ft (515 N⋅m; 53 kg⋅m) of torque.

- Summary: General Motors, LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2020-2023 Cadillac CT4 and CT5; 2021-2023 Buick Envision; and 2022-2023 Cadillac Escalade and Escalade ESV, Chevrolet Silverado 1500, Suburban, Tahoe, GMC Sierra 1500, Yukon, and Yukon XL vehicles. The daytime running lights (DRLs) may not deactivate when the headlights are on. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."
- Consequence: DRLs that do not deactivate as intended may result in a glare, reducing visibility, and increasing the risk of a crash.
- Remedy: The body control module software will be updated by a dealer, or through an over-the-air (OTA) update, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 23, 2023. - Summary: General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2020 Chevrolet Corvette and Cadillac CT4, CT5 and XT4, 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer, and 2020-2021 Buick Encore GX vehicles. Sensor connection contamination in the electronic brake boost system may cause an interruption of communication between the sensor and the brake boost system.
- Consequence: If communication with the sensor is interrupted, the electronic brake boost assist could be lost. Extra pedal force will be required to slow and stop the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
- Remedy: GM will notify owners, and dealers will replace the electronic brake boost module, free of charge. The recall began December 9, 2020. Owners may contact Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-630-2438, Cadillac customer service at 1-800-333-4223, or Buick customer service at 1-800-521-7300. GM's number for this recall is A202307260.

The 2020 model comes fully loaded with a 2.7L dual volute turbocharged 10-speed I4 engine. Personally, I would have loved bigger rims as standard, but the car still looks menacing, especially at night. In terms of performance, the 2.7L Turbocharged engine paired with the 10-speed automatic is a match made in heaven. Despite lacking a few cylinders and intimidating horsepower numbers, the car's weight and 500NM of torque make it a force to be reckoned with. It easily gaps the MK7 Golf R, 2022 CLA35/A35, m235i gran coupe, S3, challenger/charger RT, and 370Z with cold air intake and tune. Don't let the sleeper look fool you, even though I love the bamboozled faces I get when I race one of those :) I would have preferred a louder exhaust, but the turbo sound is still really loud and fun. In terms of technology, it's fully loaded, but I would have loved even more. Overall, I'm hard to please, but I love the car so far.
