The BMW X6 is a mid-size luxury crossover SUV by German automaker BMW. The BMW X6 is the originator of the sports activity coupé (SAC), referencing its sloping rear roof design.     As the second owner of this car, I have really enjoyed the style, ride, handling and acceleration of the car. I purchased it as a CPO and I must say that the warranty has been a lifesaver. Without it, owning this car would have been quite expensive. Although the car is 5 years old and has 83000 miles, it has required some maintenance work such as an engine overhaul, transmission work and 4 recalls with a fuel pump recall coming once the parts are available. For the last 10,000 miles, the car has needed a quart of oil every 1000 miles, which BMW told me was normal. Recently, I had to add coolant and brought the car in to address the problem. After having the car for 2 weeks, I was informed that it would need valve seals, engine gaskets and new turbo coolant lines, along with hoses. The total cost with the warranty was 3500.00!! The service manager told me that this is an engine on par with exotics and repairs like this should be expected. Although I wish I would have known this earlier, I will stay away from BMW high end engines in the future, unless I make a killing in the stock market.

    On December 31st, 2010, I bought my dream car, a brand new BMW X6. I was thrilled to witness its construction on my computer and it was built exactly the way I wanted. However, my dream was short-lived. In September 2015, while driving on the highway, my engine locked. I had to tow my car to the BMW service department and they kept it for over two weeks. After diagnosing the issue, I was advised that my engine was locked due to a damaged strip under the hood that prevents water from entering the engine. Although my warranty had expired only a few months prior, I was charged $8000 for the repair and provided with a refurbished engine. I was disappointed to see many comments online about locked engines and decided to stop payment on the services. I had several trips to the service department because my engine sensor was on, but they couldn't find the root of the problem. Despite all this, I still believe in customer service and integrity, which is why I question how the strip was damaged in the first place. I made a loyal customer for over 6 years, but my recent experience has left me feeling like a piece of trash. I do not recommend anyone buying a BMW.I had a really bad experience with this company and unfortunately, I cannot give them a good review. I called BMW corporate office several times during my ordeal and felt very upset. They suggested that I let go of the car, which was not what I wanted to hear. I spent a lot of money and felt like they didn't care about my situation. I wish they had provided me with more options. I believe that other dealerships would have gone above and beyond to help me. On a scale of 1-10, I would give them a score of 1.

    The X6 is a great sports car for those who want to enjoy driving all year round, even in snowy months, and need extra space for luggage. If you fold down the two back seats, you'll have a two-seater with plenty of room. The high seating and weight of the car provide a comfortable ride, and passengers won't feel uneasy when passing trucks. The car is fast, luxurious, and practical for everyday use.     I bought this car used and it was beautiful, but unfortunately it came with a list of problems that cost more to repair than the car was worth. I noticed a smell of fumes coming into the cabin of the car and brought it to New Country BMW dealer multiple times to try to get a confirmation of what was wrong with the car. They told me that antifreeze was leaking and possibly a leaking cylinder head gasket. Since the dealer could not confirm the leaking gasket, I brought the car to a garage that specializes in foreign cars. They gave me a quote of $10,000 to replace leaking Valve Seals and noted that once they opened the engine they could find additional leaks. I went back to New Country BMW and explained to them the diagnostic I received. They confirmed that these cars are known for leaking valve seals and there is a possibility that the cylinder head gaskets need to be replaced also for an additional $10,000 and $4,000 for the leaking antifreeze repair. I understand that I bought the car used, but who would think that the engine would have problems with the original price BMW charges for these vehicles? I have driven Infiniti's for far over 150,000 miles and never had any issues.

    I had a BMW X6 i50 in Vermelain Red Black interior back in 2012. At the time, I loved the car, but unfortunately, it didn't live up to my expectations. I experienced a few issues with the car, such as a chassis malfunction and an indicator for 'increased battery discharge'. Despite bringing it in for service multiple times, the problem persisted. Eventually, the keyless system was communicating with the battery, and the car was at risk of catching fire. Additionally, the car required a quart of oil every 5000 miles, which increased to every 900 miles as the mileage continued to increase. Despite my concerns, BMW insisted that this was normal. While the dealer did not provide a satisfactory solution, I still appreciate the experience of owning a BMW X6 i50.The next time I took my car in for service, shortly after complaining about a lack of acceleration, it was discovered that it was leaking oil and the turbos needed to be rebuilt (which took another 6 weeks at the dealer). Although the issue was fixed, I soon saw the 'oil' light go on again as I drove into my driveway. I had to go back to the dealer. Despite all of this, the car did regain its acceleration. However, even now, 5 years later, I still have to put a quart of oil in the car every 900 miles. The car needs brakes (normal maintenance), and the turbos either need to be rebuilt or replaced. Additionally, the I Drive is playing games, changing itself to another thing when I put it on one thing. I have been using an independent mechanic certified in BMW who doesn’t charge like a dealer, but the cost of keeping this vehicle for 1 year has been $10,000. After paying $90,000 for a vehicle, you would expect a lot more from the car, the dealer, and BMW. Unfortunately, I have received nothing from any of them. I have decided to trade it in and will never purchase this car again!

    I'm so excited to share that this is my first BMW, and I'm already in love with it! Previously, I owned a 2010 GS Vette, but I decided to switch to the twin turbo V-8. I must say, it's just as fun to drive as the vette, but now I can take both of my kids with me! Another thing I love about this car is that it's not too common on the road. If you're considering this car segment, I highly recommend taking it for a test drive. I originally had a 2011 550XI on order, but after test driving the Hybrid X6 that the dealer had on the lot, I was completely sold on the car.

As someone who has owned a 325is, 325i, M3, 740il, and the latest addition, the X6, I can confidently say that this is the most amazing car I have ever bought. It's not just an X5, it's a pure 4-door coupe sports car! I absolutely love the design and it's all I needed, even though I have to drive my wife and two children around every day. I'm still getting used to the X6.

    I've owned three previous X5 models, but the X6 is a completely different vehicle. It's wider, bolder, and makes more of a stylistic statement. I opted for the sport package with 20-inch wheels, which really make the car look pumped up. However, be prepared for a harsh ride if the road is rough. The wide cabin and big seats are great, and I love the design. The 6-cylinder engine provides great power, and the transmission is top-notch. Although it only seats four passengers, you'll ride in style. Rear visibility is okay with the camera, and the car has a king-of-the-road feel with looks to match.

    I've been experiencing issues with my car's sound system for the past two months. Initially, it was intermittent, but now it happens quite frequently. I purchased my X6 in January and didn't have any sound problems until around June. Unfortunately, the sound has been going off, including for the radio, CD, reverse-alert, SOS, and more. Sometimes restarting the engine helps, but not always. BMW Service suggested that the issue may be due to my old version of Bluetooth on my blackberry, which I had previously connected to the car. However, even after deleting the blackberry from my phone list and keeping my phone off while driving, the sound still goes off. I'm currently taking my car to BMW for the second time, and I hope they can fix the issue. It's frustrating, especially considering the amount I paid for the car, which was $87,000!
