- Consequence: Damaged lower anchor bars may increase the child's risk of injury in the event of a crash.
- Remedy: BMW will notify owners, and dealers will weld a reinforcing bracket to the lower anchor bars and the vehicle body, free of charge. Owner notification began January 17, 2020. Owners may contact BMW customer service at 1-800-525-7417.

I bought my 2015 X6 Xdrive i35 brand new and it has been a great car to drive. It has been reliable, sporty, and sure-footed in a wide variety of driving conditions, including dry, snow, rain, and ice. The Xdrive system works very well and inspires confidence. My wife and I love the sporty look of the car. Like all cars, regular maintenance, new parts, and repairs are needed every so often, but nothing outrageous. Although the seats are a bit hard and uncomfortable, BMW has worked on improving them in later models. They even sent me a lot of surveys for the first two years to improve the X6, which I appreciated. BMW cares about their customers. The technology system is intuitive and easy to use. Although the 3G was phased out on December 31, 2021, and BMW no longer supports the remote functions of the 3G X6s (through 2016 model year), the car is still a blast to drive, safe, beautiful, and reliable. It's a bummer that several fun and helpful bells and whistles no longer work, but we are still very happy with it. No car is truly future-proof, but I would like to see BMW offer an option to replace the 3G equipment with 4/5G equipment. I highly recommend this car.

We have previously owned four BMWs, including one 325IS and three Z4s. Our latest was a 2013 Z4. While we loved the roadsters, we needed something more practical yet sporty. The 2016 X6 was the perfect choice for us. We considered the X4, but it was an odd size and did not meet our needs. The X6 has plenty of headroom in both the front and rear seats. It rides exceptionally well and is incredibly smooth. Despite its size, it is very agile, and I know agile having owned three Z4s. It moves well, has excellent, smooth acceleration when you need it, and is a pleasure to drive. We have the 35is motor, and in my opinion, it is all you need. We have been to the mountains with a load for two people and had no trouble, so I wouldn't recommend the 8 cylinder and the extra fuel consumption that goes with it. My wife was worried that she would miss her roadster, but she has said numerous times that she loves her X6, loves how it looks and drives. The only issue we have is that it is a little tricky to get in and out of since it does not have an upper handle, but it's not a big problem, and you get used to it. Everything else about this car has been outstanding and far better than we thought it would be. Also, we get constant comments on how nice of a car it is from neighbors, friends, and strangers, which is always fun. We own the white X that does not have the M body but has the aluminum running boards. I hope this information is helpful for you if you are considering this vehicle.

Hey there! In 2015, I bought a brand new BMW X6. Recently, on October 16, 2020, the service shop informed me that the brakes are rusty and need to be replaced. I was quite surprised as the car is only five years old and I drive it frequently in the local community. The mileage is 25,090. I expected the brakes of a high-quality car like BMW to last much longer. What do you think?
