The K23A1 engine has all-aluminum construction, an i-VTEC head, and dual balance shafts. It was also one of the only four-cylinder powered luxury SUVs of its generation. Honda's variable flow turbocharger reduces turbo lag by using a valve to narrow the exhaust passage at low rpm, increasing the velocity of the exhaust flow and keeping the turbine spinning rapidly. At higher rpm, the valve opens to allow more exhaust flow for increased boost. The engine also features a top-mounted intercooler which receives air from the grille, channeled by ducting under the hood.
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) estimated fuel mileage is 19 mpg‑US (12 L/100 km; 23 mpg‑imp) city and 23 mpg‑US (10 L/100 km; 28 mpg‑imp) highway miles per gallon. An updated EPA mileage estimate in February 2007 rated the RDX at 17 mpg‑US (14 L/100 km; 20 mpg‑imp) city and 22 mpg‑US (11 L/100 km; 26 mpg‑imp) highway.

DEALERSHIP IN COLORADO SPRINGS, COLORADO ESTIMATED THE REPAIR AT SIX THOUSAND DOLLARS. THE ACTUATOR ARM ATTACHMENT POINT IS OBVIOUSLY MADE OF A SOFT METAL TO CAUSE IT TO WEAR OUT INTO AN OBLONG SHAPE FROM A ROUND BOLT HOLE UNDER NORMAL USAGE. ALL MECHANICS CONSULTED WERE AWARE OF THE SITUATION AND ONE EVEN SHOWED US A YOUTUBE VIDEO SHOWING US THE PROBLEM UP CLOSE AND ALL THE OTHER PEOPLE WHO HAVE EXPERIENCED THIS AND HOW IT WAS RECTIFIED. THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY CONCERN, AND I WOULD LIKE THIS TO BE RESOLVED BY A FOLLOW UP RECALL FOR THE PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG INFLATORS FOR ALL CARS AFFECTED BY THE TAKATA AIRBAG INFLATOR RECALL. TWO DAYS LATER, I CALLED THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT AT THE ANNAPOLIS DEALER AND THE SERVICE TECHNICIAN SAID THAT ONLY PEOPLE IN ENTERPRISE RENTAL CARS WITH THE RECALL WERE BEING HONORED PRESENTLY FOR THE RECALL. I GAVE MY CASE NUMBER AND THE TECHNICIAN FOUND ME IN THEIR SYSTEM AND SUPPOSEDLY WAS GOING TO ORDER THE RECALL PARTS BASED ON MY CASE NUMBER. ON 6/9/2016 I CALLED THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT AT ANNAPOLIS DEALER AND THE SERVICE TECHNICIAN SAID, OH WELL I REALLY DON'T KNOW WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR PARTS SITUATION. I CALLED BACK AND ASKED TO SPEAK TO THE SERVICE MANAGER AGAIN AND THEY WANTED TO PUT ME IN HIS VOICE MAIL AND I YELLED BACK THAT I'VE ALREADY LEFT HIM MESSAGES TO CALL ME WHICH HE HAS NOT DONE YET SO WHY WOULD I WANT TO LEAVE YET ANOTHER MESSAGE?! I ASKED TO SPEAK TO THE OVERALL DEALERSHIP MANAGER AND WAS INFORMED OH HE'S NOT IN. IT WOULD NOT MOVE MORE THAN TWO FEET AFTER I GOT IT OFF THE ROAD. AN HOUR LATER THE CAR WOULD BE ABLE TO DRIVE TO THE TOW TRUCK, BUT THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM THEN SHUT DOWN TOTALLY. RESTARTED THE CAR AGAIN TO MOVE TO TOW TRUCK. IT IS IN SHOP FOR SERVICE NOW. THE CAR HAD JUST BEEN CHECKED FOR A1 SERVICE AND ACURA AND PASSED INSPECTION AS WELL.

- Summary: Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling specific 2003 Acura 3.2CL, 2013-2016 ILX, 2013-2014 ILX Hybrid, 2003-2006 MDX, 2007-2016 RDX, 2002-2003 3.2TL, 2004-2006, and 2009-2014 TL, 2010-2013 ZDX and 2001-2007 and 2009 Honda Accord, 2001-2005 Civic, 2003-2005 Civic Hybrid, 2001-2005 Civic GX NGV, 2002-2007 and 2010-2011 CR-V, 2003-2011 Element, 2007 Fit, 2002-2004 Odyssey, 2003-2008 Pilot, and 2006-2014 Ridgeline vehicles. The affected vehicles received a replacement driver air bag inflator as part of a previous Takata inflator recall remedy or a replacement driver air bag module containing the same inflator type as a service part. Due to a manufacturing error, in the event of a crash necessitating deployment of the driver frontal air bag, these inflators may explode.
- Consequence: An explosion of an inflator within the driver frontal air bag module may result in sharp metal fragments striking the driver, front seat passenger or other occupants resulting in serious injury or death.
- Remedy: Honda will notify owners, and dealers will replace the driver's air bag inflator with an alternate inflator, free of charge. The recall began April 10, 2019. Honda owners may contact customer service at 1-888-234-2138. Honda's number for this recall is O41. Acura owners may contact customer service at 1-888-234-2138. Acura's number for this recall is U40.

The RDX is a fantastic vehicle that offers the best of both worlds - the sporty feel of a sedan and the practicality of an SUV. The driving experience is exhilarating, with great cornering and acceleration. The driving position is comfortable and provides excellent visibility. I chose the RDX because of its reliability and quality, which have been excellent. If you're considering buying one, keep in mind that there are some trade-offs. The turbocharged 4 cylinder engine is very responsive and fun to drive, but it's not the most fuel-efficient option out there. The suspension is taut, which makes for great handling, but it also means that you'll feel the road imperfections. Lastly, while the RDX is nimble and comfortable for an SUV, it's not any roomier than a smaller sedan. Overall, if you're looking for a small SUV that offers a great combination of value and quality, the RDX is definitely worth considering.

The Acura RDX is an excellent choice in this segment, offering a sporty driving experience and ample storage space. It's also faster and more luxurious than the Murano, for just a small increase in price. The SH All Wheel Drive system provides a smooth and enjoyable ride, especially when accelerating out of corners. Overall, I highly recommend the Acura RDX with a rating of 9.5 / 10.

I've had this car for about two weeks now and I absolutely love it! I test drove all the CUVs from upscale/luxury to affordable/no frills, from ML350 and X3 to the Ford Edge and Mazda CX7, and even drove a Hyundai Santa Fe. However, none of them compared to the RDX in terms of value for money and features. It's an absolute joy to drive and is incredibly comfortable. Coming from an Infiniti M45, I know what comfort feels like, and this RDX is just as cushy. I can't wait to show it off to my friends! It took me a while to decide, but I'm so glad I took my time and chose the RDX. It was definitely the best choice for my money! I even ordered chrome wheels and now it looks even prettier!

What a fun experience it is to drive! Acura's engineers have done an amazing job of infusing the spirit of a sports car into an SUV. The SUV boasts good fuel economy, a comfortable interior, great looks, amazing acceleration, and plenty of features in the base model. You should definitely consider buying one now!

Hey there! I would recommend against purchasing this product. Unfortunately, the leather and pleather materials used are not up to par. The door inserts, armrests, and center console top all had to be replaced, and the seat stitching is pulling out. Additionally, the gas mileage is not great. However, the engine seems to be functioning well otherwise.

This vehicle has some great features, such as the bluetooth, Nav system and sound system. However, there are some downsides to consider. The turbo-4 can be quite noisy when accelerating and there is some road noise that enters the cabin, which can be tiring on long highway drives. Additionally, the fuel economy is not great, averaging about 15 city/20 highway, which is a disappointment for a small 4-cylinder SUV. Overall, while there are some positives, there are also some drawbacks to keep in mind.

I really appreciate this car, it handles really well and has a lot of great features. I still have 23 months left on my lease and I'm not sure if I'll purchase it again. Unfortunately, there are too many rattles for a car at this price range. The gas mileage is also quite poor, especially in the city, at only 17 mpg. I've taken it in twice and while they seemed to fix one rattle, the other is still quite audible. Overall, I'm somewhat disappointed.
