The Volkswagen Phaeton V8 is an excellent car, with only one small drawback: poor fuel mileage. However, given its weight of 5,200 lbs, this is not entirely unexpected. Overall, I think it is just about perfect. The fit and finish are excellent, and it has all the people comforts you would expect in a car that costs much more. The engine is very powerful, and the car is incredibly smooth and quiet at high speeds.

I have owned a 750 BMW and a 500S Mercedes, but I must say that this car is better than either! The interior is great looking with all that real wood. The ride is terrific, and it is wonderfully equipped with spirited handling. The only negative is the gas mileage when you push it, which I do all the time - but it's a small price to pay for all that fun! I highly recommend buying it, unless you are someone who only cares about brand names.

I am thrilled to report that my auto has 31,000 miles on it and I have not had a single issue to report to the dealer. The service I have received has been nothing short of excellent. Despite the common belief that VW dealers do not know how to cater to luxury buyers, my dealer has exceeded my expectations and provided me with better customer service than my previous Mercedes, Lexus, and BMW dealers. Although I loved my 740s, my Phaeton has provided me with an unforgettable driving experience that I will always cherish. It is unfortunate that some luxury car owners are hesitant or embarrassed to admit that they own a VW, as they are truly missing out on a fantastic driving experience.
