In 1993, in California and other states with California level emissions standards, it was rated at 69 kW (93 hp; 94 PS) and 136 N⋅m (100 lb⋅ft) of torque. It was offered with either a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic transmission.
In Japan, the Cynos was available in α (Alpha) and β (Beta) trim levels. The α trim is powered by a 5E-FE engine producing 77 kW (105 PS; 104 hp), while the β trim is powered by a 5E-FHE engine producing 85 kW (115 PS; 113 hp). In β trim, four-wheel disc brakes and TEMS electronically controlled suspension can be selected as options.

Hi there! I hope you're doing well. I just wanted to share my experience with this car. I bought it when it had 39K miles and now, after 5 years and 112K miles, I can say that it has been a great investment. The only major expense I had was the timing belt replacement at 68K miles, which was routine maintenance. Other than that, I've only had to replace brake pads and do regular oil changes and other minor maintenance. The car has always started without any issues, even after sitting for up to 15 days. It handles well up to 85mph, and it's great in snow and on curves. The rear seat is not very spacious, but for a single commuter looking for a somewhat sporty ride, this car is perfect. The only downside is that if you're over 6'3

I hope you're doing well! I just wanted to share some information about my car with you. I purchased it back in 1998 when it only had 7500 miles on it! It's been a reliable car for me and I'm happy to say that as of November 1st, 2022, it has 342,250 miles on it and is still going strong! I've made sure to take good care of it by getting regular oil changes every 3k miles, as well as replacing the brakes and filling up with gasoline. Thanks for taking the time to read about my car!

This is my first car and I really love it! The design is great, and it has excellent gas mileage and handling. It's also a great car for the winter. I haven't had any problems with it since I bought it last year.

I recently bought a car with 206,000 miles on it and had to change the starter and clutch. However, overall, this car has proven to be very reliable for getting from point A to point B. It's also very affordable to maintain. I've taken care of the timing belt, head cover gaskets, water pump, crank seal, cam seal, 02 sensor upper, oil change, v belts, and anti-freeze coolant, and the car still runs strong. I'm confident that this car will last me up to 400k miles. The only issue I've had with the car is an erratic idle with the check engine light on, but I was able to fix it 8 months ago. Unfortunately, it seems to have returned. Oh well, I'll figure it out!

I have had this car for about a year and a half now. When I was shopping for a car, the Toyota brand was on the top of my list because I knew it meant quality, reliability and style. I got all three and a lot more with my 1996 Paseo. It's great on gas mileage, it's a lot of fun to drive and it gets people's attention because of its unique and rare styling. Would I buy this car again? Definitely!

The Toy Paseo may not be the fastest car out there, but it gets you where you need to go. It has great handling and is perfect for getting around town. While it may not have a lot of trunk space, it is a great car for commuting. The back seat can be a bit cramped, but it's still a comfortable ride. Although I had to replace the engine at 99k miles and spent around $3000 on other engine repairs, it's still a reliable car. It's important to note that insurance charges are similar to those of a sports car, but it won't exceed 110.

Hi there! I've been driving my 1996 Paseo for about a year and a half now. While the power isn't the most impressive thing about it, I'm really impressed with the handling. I recently tested it out going 60mph in a roundabout and still felt completely safe. In fact, I think the Paseo's handling beats out a BMW's any day. And I should know - I also own a BMW E36 318i!

Hi there! I hope you're doing well. I just wanted to share my experience with my car. I bought it with 110,000 miles on it and now it has 175,000 miles. Despite the high mileage, I'm still getting 31-34 mpg, which is great! The only maintenance I've done is replace a bad 02 sensor a couple of years ago, change the oil, drain the AT fluid (although I didn't replace the filter), and replace the front brakes and rotor. Recently, I changed the spark plugs and air filter, and now it idles very smoothly. I do want to mention that it might not be the best car for larger people, but if you're under 5'10

The backseat of this car is quite small, so it may not be suitable for individuals with longer legs. The engine lacks power and the handling is not ideal for a sports car. Additionally, the stock radio is not of the best quality. I have had to replace the brake pads and rotors multiple times, even though the car has only 102,000 miles on it. However, I found that using Performance Friction Carbon Metallic pads greatly improved the braking performance. Lastly, there seems to be a clicking noise coming from the engine compartment.
