Common 2000 Saturn Aura problems
The Saturn Aura, a mid-size car produced by General Motors between 2006 and 2009, has been known to have several common problems that have been reported by owners.
Transmission issues are a significant concern for Saturn Aura owners. Many owners have reported that their vehicles have experienced transmission problems, which can manifest in various ways, such as the car not shifting properly or the transmission failing altogether.
Another common problem with the Saturn Aura is wheel bearing failure. This issue can cause a loud humming or growling noise, particularly when driving at high speeds. Wheel bearing failure can also cause the vehicle to vibrate or shake, making it difficult to control. This problem has been reported in various model years, including 2007, 2008, and 2009.
Blown cooling fan fuses are another issue that Saturn Aura owners have reported. This problem can cause the vehicle's air conditioning system to stop working, making it uncomfortable to drive in hot weather. A blown cooling fan fuse can also cause the engine to overheat, potentially leading to more severe engine problems. This issue has been reported in various model years, including 2007, 2008, and 2009.
Gas cap issues are also common in the Saturn Aura. Some owners have reported that their vehicle's gas cap does not fit properly, which can cause the check engine light to come on. This problem can also cause the vehicle to experience reduced fuel efficiency and increased emissions. Gas cap issues have been reported in various model years, including 2003, 2004, 2006, and 2008.
Power steering issues are another concern for Saturn Aura owners. Some owners have reported that their vehicle's power steering system has failed, making it difficult to turn the steering wheel. This problem can be particularly dangerous when driving at high speeds or in tight spaces. Power steering issues have been reported in various model years, including 2003, 2004, 2006, and 2007.
Ignition module failure is another issue that Saturn Aura owners have reported. This problem can cause the vehicle to stall or have difficulty starting. Ignition module failure can also cause the check engine light to come on. This issue has been reported in various model years, including 2003, 2004, 2006, and 2007.
Finally, the Saturn Aura has been known to have brakes problems. Some owners have reported that their vehicle's brakes have worn down prematurely, causing the brake pads to wear out quickly. This problem can be dangerous, as it can make it difficult to stop the vehicle quickly in an emergency situation. Brake problems have been reported in various model years, including 2007.
In summary, the Saturn Aura has several common problems that have been reported by owners. These issues include transmission problems, wheel bearing failure, blown cooling fan fuses, gas cap issues, power steering issues, ignition module failure, and brakes problems. These issues can be costly to repair and can make the vehicle difficult or dangerous to drive. If you own a Saturn Aura, it is essential to be aware of these common problems and to have your vehicle inspected regularly to ensure that any issues are caught and repaired promptly.
Is Saturn Aura a good car?

How long do Saturn engines last?
Saturn engines were generally reliable and long-lasting. A 2002 Saturn SL2 came with an I4 engine that made 124 horsepower and 122 lb-ft of torque. With regular oil changes and smooth driving, you can expect the SL2's engine to last at least 200,000 miles.
What went wrong with Saturn cars?
Saturn, a GM company that had great promise in the early 1990s, ultimately failed because senior GM leaders couldn't see the benefits of new ways of doing things and a new kind of organizational culture.
Are Saturn's safe cars?
Saturn vehicles have very strong safety ratings. Insurers assume a lot more risk when they provide coverage for unsafe vehicles. After all, vehicles that aren't safe are far more likely to result in serious injuries, deaths and damages. All of those things can cost an insurer a lot of money.
