- Summary: Porsche Cars North America, Inc. (Porsche) is recalling certain model year 2014-2015 Porsche 911, Boxster, and Cayman vehicles manufactured May 7, 2014, to September 23, 2014. The front hood upper lock components were not manufactured to specification and may fail to securely latch the vehicle's hood during operation.
- Consequence: A failure of the hood latching mechanism may cause the hood to suddenly open during vehicle operation and will severely impede the driver's ability to see out the front windshield, increasing the risk of a vehicle crash.
- Remedy: Porsche will notify owners, and dealers will replace the lock on the front hood, free of charge. The recall began December 12, 2014. Owners may contact Porsche customer service at 1-800-767-7243. Porsche's number for this recall is AE04.

Hello! I hope you're doing well. I wanted to share my experience with my Boxster S that I bought back in January 2013. Every time I walk into my garage and see it, I can't help but smile. The deep blue with black top is my personal favorite, but what really makes me love this car are the curves. It's such a sexy car! I enjoy watching it being driven almost as much as I love driving it myself. In terms of reliability, I'm happy to report that it gets a 5-star rating. It's a solidly built machine that has only needed regular maintenance despite having driven it for about 20,000 miles. I hope you get a chance to drive one someday, it's an absolute blast!
