ONLY THE WARRANTY HAD JUST EXPIRED 5,000 MILES AND DEALER QUOTED $650.00 TO PULL THE UNIT OUT AND SEND OUT TO HAVE DIAGNOSED AND WOULD TAKE ABOUT A WEEK. SERVICE WRITER SUGGESTED I WAIT UNTIL WARNING LIGHTS INDICATE A PROBLEM. NEXT DAY THE TACHOMETER GAUGE BEGAN FAILING. YOU COULD START THE CAR OVER 4 OR 5 TIMES AND GET BOTH TEMP AND TACH TO READ SOMETHING AND SOMETIMES THOUGHT IT WAS ACCURATE BUT WITHIN ANOTHER MONTH THE GAUGES RARELY REGISTERED ANYTHING AND THEN THE FUEL GAUGE FAILED. THE CAR WAS PURCHASED AS PRE-OWNED GM CERTIFIED VEHICLE AND WARRANTY WAS UNTIL 39000 MILES AND AT 45000 THE GAUGES BEGAN FAILING OF COURSE THE TEMP SENDING UNIT WAS REPLACED AT 43000 MILES BECAUSE OF A CHECK ENGINE WARNING CODE. I HAVE ONLY OWNED 2 PONTIACS IN MY DRIVING HISTORY BUT MOST VEHICLES I HAVE OWNED WERE GM PRODUCTS AND I HAVE NEVER OWNED A VEHICLE WITH MORE FAULTS, WHICH STARTED WITH THE TEST DRIVE AND A POPPING IN THE STEERING AND BRAKE PROBLEMS AT 28000 MILES BUT DEALER CONVINCED TO PURCHASE AS THE ITEMS WERE COVERED UNDER MANF WARRANTY AND THEY GAVE ME ANOTHER CAR TO DRIVE FOR A WEEK WHILE REPAIRS WERE MADE TO MY BONNEVILLE PURCHASED JAN 2005. THIS CAR SHOULD NOT HAVE ENOUGH MILES ON IT YET TO BE REQUIRING COSTLY MAJOR COMPONENT FAILURES WHICH ARE A SAFETY CONCERN. *JB

This car is an absolute blast to drive! I recently traded in my 02 Monte Carlo for it and I have to say, I wasn't expecting to have as much fun as I did with my old car. But after driving this beauty for the last two weeks, I can assure you that it is even more fun than my old car. The longer wheel base must be the difference. The acceleration is great, the cornering is nice, and the seating is comfortable. Even my family of four fits in very nicely. I used to have a 92 Grand Prix for years and loved it, but I don't think I'll buy anything but Bonnevilles from here on out!

I recently purchased a 2004 Bonneville and unfortunately, it was delivered with some issues. The brake rotor hubs were rusted and the chrome plated aluminum rims had some bubbling and flaking. However, the dealer has been very helpful and has already ordered new wheels for me. Additionally, I've noticed that the A/C cools erratically for the first few miles of driving. Despite these issues, I'm still surprised that a car from the GM plant, which JD Power rated as the best in North America, would have these problems. Overall, I'm hopeful that these issues will be resolved soon.

I had a 1994 Bonneville and loved it. I'm sure many people can relate to that feeling of missing a beloved car. But I'm happy to say that I found a car that combines sportiness and practicality. The car is beautiful, sporty, and much better on gas than my SUV was. I will never go back! It's great to break away from the stereotype that moms have to drive boring sedans or mammoth SUVs.

I recently purchased this vehicle with 42,000 miles and have already put 5,000 miles on it within 2 months. My '95 LeSabre has 173,000 miles and is still running well, so I have high expectations for this one. I was able to purchase it for less than half its original price, and it was practically brand new. I'm not an engineer, but I believe the 3800 Series II engine is the best GM auto engine available. The car handles like a dream, with incredible road feel and steering responsiveness that reminds me of the old Tiger Paw commercials. Every time I drive the Bonneville, I become more of a Pontiac fan. If the G-8 lives up to expectations, I plan on ordering one when the '12 models arrive in about 4 years.

Hi there! I just wanted to share my thoughts on the 2002 review article. As a sales professional, I'm lucky enough to have a company car, and the Bonny is a great choice. It's comfortable and handles well, especially in snowy or icy conditions. However, I do feel like Pontiac could have done more to differentiate the Bonny from other GM cars, particularly in terms of performance. While the exhaust sounds great, I think the car could benefit from a bit more power. Maybe a new design with more aggressive styling would help too, not just for the GXP class. Overall, though, I'm happy with my Bonny and would definitely consider driving another one in the future!
