The Mazdaspeed3 was designed prior to the latest generation of hot hatches, including the Dodge Caliber SRT-4, Ford Focus ST, and the Volkswagen Golf/Rabbit GTI. The engine produces a power output of 263 hp (196 kW) and 280 lb⋅ft (380 N⋅m) of torque. The Mazdaspeed3 also features a limited slip differential.
The Mazdaspeed3 is the company's first hot hatchback since the BG Familia GT-X of the early 1990s.

THE GROUND TERMINAL OF THE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR MAY HAVE BEEN INADVERTENTLY BENT DURING ASSEMBLY. IF THIS CONDITION EXISTS THEN OVER TIME THE ELECTRICAL RESISTANCE OF THE MOTOR CIRCUIT MAY INCREASE UP TO A POINT THAT THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS WOULD NOT WORK.
- Consequence: THE LOSS OF WIPER FUNCTION IN ADVERSE WEATHER COULD POTENTIALLY INCREASE THE RISK OF A CRASH.

I spent over a year researching cars to buy when I finally got a job after college and I finally decided on the Mazdaspeed 3. I was lucky enough to find a Grand Touring model with the windows already tinted and it only had about 5K miles on it. I absolutely love this car!! It's definitely the best value for a performance car out there. As an aggressive driver, I can attest to how well this car handles and brakes on a dime! The only issue I've had is a few misfires due to bad gasoline, but other than that, it's been going strong at about 34K miles. By the way, I highly recommend getting the Test Pipe from StreetUnit.com. It's an awesome upgrade that gives you a 20 HP boost for only $160!!

Congratulations on your purchase of a used 09 speed 3! It sounds like you did your research and found a great car, even with the challenge of finding one with low miles. With only 3k on it, you must be thrilled! It's great to hear that you're enjoying the car so far and finding it fast and comfortable for daily driving. While a sunroof would be a nice addition, safety is definitely a top priority. I did a little research on this car and had to take it for a test drive. After just one drive, I was sold! The car is a total blast to drive, with great brakes, power, and the ability to seat four adults comfortably. I was pleasantly surprised by how fast the 4-cylinder engine was! I even raced my friend in his new BMW 745 on some back roads in western Illinois, and he couldn't pass me. He couldn't believe it!

I recently traded my 2008 Mazda 3 5 door hatch for a 2009 Mazda speed 3 after thinking about it for a couple of months. Initially, I was concerned about the exhaust sound, but I have grown to like it. As someone who has owned a 318ti, 325i, and a minicooper, I am a tough sell for sporty cars. However, I was blown away by the steering feel, brakes, suspension, and very linear power delivery of the speed 3. Although I already liked the Mazda 3, the speed 3 makes me want to step on it every chance I get. While I think the 18 inch wheels are a bit overkill, especially considering their weight, I managed to get this car for $20,000 after some serious haggling. What a great bang for the buck!

I can't believe how much fun this car really is! It's definitely one of the most enjoyable cars I've ever driven, and it's the best car in its class, hands down! It's got comfort, performance, handling, and practicality. You can even haul and take four other people with you. This car is a beast! So, I highly recommend going to your local Mazda dealer and test driving one of these bad boys!

This car certainly provides an exciting driving experience, but unfortunately, I have had to take it in for repairs multiple times due to rattles and build quality issues. It's been disappointing to experience these problems, especially since I expected better from a Japanese car. Surprisingly, my old Hyundai had no rattles at all. Additionally, I have found that the 5 door styling is not to my taste. Overall, my experience with this car has been mixed.
