When shopping for a car, there are two types that come to mind: the ideal car that appeals to your emotions and tugs at your heartstrings, and the car that is the logical and practical choice. This car falls into the latter category, which is not a bad thing. Compared to the MB CLA, BMW 320i, and Audi A3, the CT may not stand out, but it will far outlast any of those three in terms of reliability and lower maintenance costs. Its interior is well laid out, and it boasts the best front seats in the business. The media system is simple to use (which is not always the case in cars these days), and the premium audio system is pretty good for a non-branded setup. The Bluetooth streaming is of very high quality, and the interior materials are good for the category, with soft touch materials where it counts. The ride (I have the F-Sport with the firmer suspension) is a little harsh but never brittle. It's a controlled tightness that allows bumps into the cabin but takes the edge off each time. As an added plus, the CT can be purchased for thousands below sticker due to its lower demand, a benefit often overlooked in car reviews. If there's one big drawback to the car, it's the speed, or lack thereof. This is a slow car, no two ways about it, and it doesn't want to be rushed. Thankfully, the engine is well isolated, so you won't feel like you're in an economy car when entering the freeway. Luckily, speed is the CT's only dynamic downfall. In the hills, this little hatch can hold its own when the going gets twisty. The steering is numb but razor sharp and laser precise. The suspension has hardly any role either. The Sport Mode doesn't make the car any faster, but rather sharpens throttle response and weights up the steering for a sporty feel, useful for freeway or canyon use. Power issues aside, the CT never feels like a detached, isolation-pod hybrid whose only purpose is to suck the joy out of its owners in exchange for better savings at the pump.The CT200h is a great car for anyone looking for reliable entry-luxury transportation in the city. While it may not have the flashiness of its German counterparts, it is more practical and logical for long-term ownership. Additionally, it consistently achieves near its EPA ratings for MPG, and with careful driving, can yield up to 48 MPG (I've personally never gone below 44 MPG).

I purchased this car because I was tired of supporting corporate gas companies at over $4 per gallon. I am happy to report that I am actually averaging 48 mpg! If you are not getting the same results, consider changing your driving habits. While this car may not win any 1/4 mile drag races, it is perfect for navigating the congested roads of our country. I recently traded in a high-performance sport coupe that I was only using 25% of its power less than 50% of the time. It just didn't make sense! This car rides just as well, and I don't miss taking off ramps at 90mph. It is extremely comfortable, stylish (I have received many compliments), and of course, it is a Lexus, so the quality is top-notch. Overall, this car is the best value for my money that I have experienced in many years!

The CT200's door panels and side thickness are built to actual car proportions, which is a noticeable improvement from the flimsy, weight-saving build of the Prius. After considering several options such as the Prius, CRV, Rav4, Venza, and a few others, we found ourselves repeatedly drawn to the CT200. Upon comparing prices, we felt that we were getting more value for our money with the CT200. The seats in the CT200 were far more comfortable than those in the other cars we looked at, reminding my wife and me of our own cozy leather chairs at home. The handling of the CT200 was simply excellent. Although there was a bit of noise when accelerating, once we got up to speed, it was a dream to drive. We particularly love hatchbacks for their practicality, and although the CT200 doesn't have tons of room, it is perfect for us as a soon-to-be-retired couple. If you're an animal lover who prefers not to have leather interior, the imitation leather in the CT200 is very, very nice. I highly recommend taking it for a test drive!

Despite that, I've already fueled up twice and both times I was able to achieve between 49 and 50 miles per gallon! This is definitely above the mpg on the sticker. I've noticed that there are a plethora of CT drivers out there, some getting below 40mpg while others are getting over 50mpg. It all depends on how you drive the car. If you're looking for good mpg, it won't out run any car on the road, so be prepared to pull to the right, slowly get up to speed, and let the traffic pass you by. Personally, I'm okay with that. Upgraded from a base 2010 Prius. The new car is much more comfortable and looks a lot prettier. Although it has less cargo space, it's a great commuter car. Unfortunately, I experienced some engine compression issues. However, Lexus offered me 5k as a trade-in before quoting me a repair price. After doing some research, I found out that this issue had been happening to several people, so they knew about it. I was disappointed since this car has been maintained at the dealer since I got it.
