The Infiniti G Line is a series of compact executive cars manufactured and marketed by Infiniti, a luxury division of Nissan, for the 1991–1996 and 1999–2016 model years — across four generations.
The first two generations of the Infiniti G (P10 and P11) were sedans based on the Nissan Primera. Beginning with its third generation (V35), the Infiniti G have been rebadged versions of the Nissan Skyline line of sedans and coupes that were exported to the United States and Canada. The fourth generation (V36) introduced the hardtop coupe convertible. The Nissan FM platform, used with the third and fourth generations (V35 and V36) of the Infiniti G, also underpins the Nissan 370Z and has shared components with the Infiniti M, Infiniti EX, and Infiniti FX.
Infiniti established a new naming convention beginning with the 2014 model year; all passenger cars are designated by the letter "Q," while sport-utility model names begin with "QX." The Infiniti G was to have been replaced by the Infiniti Q50, but the G37 was revived as the Q40 beginning with the 2015 model year.

- Summary: Light blinks for (no airbag on passenger side) working. Light also blinks on dashboard showing no airbags. My car has just over 76,000 miles with meticulous maintenance and no crashes, accidents or even bumps. There are countless complaints, inquiries and threads on the internet regarding the above mentioned problem. I don't know if anyone has taken the time to make an official inquiry but it requires your scrutiny. The fix is a new seat and or an old one that the components still work. There are countless people drivng this vehicle without airbags. We need a fix that won't cost $10,000 (estimate from dealership). Also, where can one find a seat??? Inifinity needs to provide a fix that allows the airbags to function properly without the consumer having to find a new/used seat (and none are available nationwide). The modules are a mere $200 but integrating them into a seat is impossible, so the "fix" is a new seat. This problem exists as the cars age. I project that all inifinities with this style seat have, or are going to have, the same problem as they age. If not, what remedy did Infinity offer in its newer models, leaving the rest of us driving death traps, with no means or opportunity for safely find a "fix". Attached is a copy of the scan from an auto body delearship regarding the lights.

This is a fantastic, well-crafted car. It has only required scheduled maintenance for the past 6.5 years, and I have not had to make any repairs. The only issue is that there is no room for a spare tire, so if you get a flat, you may be in a bit of a bind!

I recently downsized from a GS350 and I must say, the Infiniti is a fantastic car. The interior is great, with really comfy seats and all the bells and whistles you would expect from a $40k car. I was pleasantly surprised by the excellent navigation system and music hard drive. The car corners very flat, especially for a sedan, and the power is instantaneous. Although I have noticed an on again/off again rattle in the passenger door after only 3K miles, I still think this car is a great choice. I have owned every luxury German and Japanese make there is, and I must say Infiniti is becoming my favorite due to its blend of near BMW agility, near Lexus comfort, and near Mercedes luxury, all for typically a lot less than those makes. The mileage has been good so far too, at 22mpg combined.

I spent a long time doing research on my next car (4 years) and each time I took a car that met my requirements out on a test drive, I was disappointed. I wanted something sporty that wasn't just a flat out race car. BMW got really close. However, I'm rather happy with how everything turned out, considering that I got my Infiniti for $45k, when a similarly equipped BMW would have cost $65K.

I leased a new 2010 G37 convertible when my Mercedes Benz CLK350 lease ran out. With the Infiniti, it's like night and day. The G37 is so much faster, handles better and even looks classier, inside and out, than the Mercedes. So far, both Infiniti and the dealer have been great. They have been very responsive and proactive with notices and keeping in touch, which has made the experience even better.

After months of searching and test driving various car makes and models, including Lexus, BMW, and Acura, I finally found the perfect 4-door sports car. I didn't want to pay the high BMW price tag for the same performance, and the repairs for BMWs can be quite expensive. The car I chose is tight, extremely smooth, and feels like my own little red Ferrari. I'm especially happy with the 'S' model, which comes with 18-inch wheels and paddle shifters that are simply awesome.

I have experience with a 2002 BMW M3 SMG and a 2008 Audi A4 6-Speed (GIAC chipped), and I found the G37S to be slower than both, perhaps only slightly faster than my A4 (again GIAC chipped). Additionally, the steering did not feel as tight as it did in my previous cars. At 28k miles, I noticed a lot of abnormal wear on the plastics and leather. Unfortunately, the built quality inside the car is comparable to that of a Honda Civic. While I had hoped to like this car, I believe that the 335i (which is often compared to the G37S) is a better car overall.

After purchasing my 2009 G37 Convertible, I noticed a persistent creaking sound coming from both sides of the rear portion of the hardtop. That night, I put the top down and up, and noticed that the trunk had opened afterward, so I closed it manually. The next morning, I approached my car in the garage to find the trunk opened again. Two days later, the engine refused to go past 10 mph and the Engine Light was on, so I was forced to bring it into the dealership. It has been over 30 days since then, and Infiniti has tried to solve the problem twice to no avail. Unfortunately, I still don't have my car. I'm curious if anyone else has had similar experiences with Infiniti? Thank you for your help.
