The steering gearbox assembly may have been manufactured incorrectly, which can cause excessive internal friction and lead to difficulty steering the vehicle.
- Consequence: Difficulty steering can increase the risk of a crash.
- Remedy: Dealers will replace the worm gear spring and redistribute or add grease as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed November 18, 2024. Owners may contact Honda Customer Service at 1-888-234-2138. Honda's numbers for this recall are SJS, MJU, QJT and VJV.

- Summary: Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2022-2024 Civic 4-door and Civic 5-door vehicles that received a replacement power steering rack as part of a service repair. The steering rack may have been incorrectly assembled, which can allow the tire to chafe against the lower suspension or tie rod end, possibly resulting in tire damage.
- Consequence: A damaged tire can fail and increase the risk of a crash or injury.
- Remedy: Dealers will inspect and replace the electric power steering rack, as necessary, free of charge. Owner letters were mailed January 16, 2024. Owners may contact Honda customer service at 1-888-234-2138. Honda's number for this recall is YFW.

This is a lovely car with excellent acceleration and plenty of room inside.

The 2024 Civic Sedan has a nice look and good gas mileage of 34-35 around town. The wider tires hug the road and the stereo system is okay. Android Auto works as it should. However, the seats are not comfortable due to the lack of padding. I had to buy a wheelchair cushion to get some comfort. The visibility is good, but the rear window is pretty shallow and the rearview mirror is too small. On the bright side, the controls are pretty good and the heat & A/C are fine. Although it sits low, it has sharp and crisp handling. The road and wind noise are not too bad and it is pretty quiet. The rear seat is okay, but not for long road trips. For the money, it is still a reliable and dependable car. It has better materials inside than the Toyota Corolla. However, I am not too crazy about the CVT, but most cars today have that, so there is not a lot of choice in this segment. I hate the start/stop feature and have to turn it off every time I start the car. There should be a permanent way to turn this off! On the bright side, there is plenty of room inside. As I get more used to it, I might like it better or just get used to it. If I could change just one thing, it would be a more comfortable seat! It's a good thing I don't travel much and just use it around town, or I would definitely be considering trading it in faster than I have in the past. Sadly, they really don't make them like they used to.

The 2024 Civic Touring is amazing! I'm so glad I traded in my 2018 Honda Accord EX, which had too much play in the steering. The 2024 Civic Touring has no play in the steering wheel and handles beautifully. I absolutely love this car! It has all the perks I want, including Sirius radio!

I've owned many new vehicles in the past, including cars, SUVs, and trucks, but this Honda Civic is one of the best I've owned so far. I really like the sporty handling and smooth ride. The interior looks upscale, and I find the seats quite comfortable, although I haven't been on any day-long drives yet. What amazes me is that this Honda has a lot more power than you would expect, and it gets up and goes! Plus, I've driven it 1500 miles so far, and I'm averaging an impressive 45.2 miles per gallon. At $28500 with the Pearl White paint option, I think this car is an excellent buy, and I would definitely buy it again.
