The Super Duty trucks and chassis-cabs are assembled at the Kentucky Truck Plant in Louisville, Kentucky, and at Ohio Assembly in Avon Lake, Ohio. Prior to 2016, medium-duty trucks were assembled in Mexico under the Blue Diamond Truck joint venture with Navistar International.

The Variable Displacement Oil Pump delivers oil to the engine at low pressure/capacity during idle conditions. Routine occurrences of prolonged idle time may result in excess wear to the engine camshaft lobes and valve tappet surfaces due to reduced lubrication. Overtime, the engine may progressively run rough due to cylinder misfire. Additionally, customers may hear engine tapping noises and the Check Engine Light may illuminate. This causes delamination of the lifters and camshaft which sends metal throughout the engine causing total engine failure and this requires a completely new engine. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? Beyond the financial implications, A sudden breakdown on a busy road can lead to dangerous situations, putting both me and other drivers at risk. Additionally, driving a vehicle with a compromised engine can result in further damage and potentially cause accidents. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Yes there are many forums and videos online about this issue in the 7.3 Godzilla engine produced by ford. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? My vehicle is currently at the dealership for repairs which they said they are unable to do so I will be taking it to another dealership next week. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? In my vehicle there was no CEL but in other customers vehicles the CEL will appear if the problem is not caught soon enough.

- Summary: The engine had a life threatening malfunction. Currently, there are arrangements being made to move the truck to my insurance company's property. I'm sure my insurance company would allow and arrange a site visit to inspect the truck. It happened so fast and without warning, we were blessed that we were able to escape the truck without losing our lives or getting severely burned. Anyone who helped or passed by was put at risk due to the fire or possible explosion that could have accrued from the truck fuel tank or trailer propane bottles. The fire inspector and insurance company have conducted there preliminary inspections and are in the process of writing up their reports. There was no warning lamp, message or symptom of a engine problem or failure prior to the engine bursting into flames, but the only warning that accrued after the engine caught fire, was the engine was being shut off.

- Summary: During the 1st 20 min or so of operation the truck tries to "high idle" when in gear. This forces the operator use excessive brake pressure to keep the vehicle stopped. There have been several times my leg gets tired of holding the brake pedal down so hard the truck will creep forward unintentionally. The brakes grunt due to excessive force trying to keep the truck stopped. The dealer blows it off as normal, saying the truck is doing what its supposed to. I don't think the truck should be allowed to high idle in gear. I am afraid that I am going to accidently roll forward and hit someone. I have driven other 3/4 ton trucks and the ford 7.3 engine this is the only one that does this. I called ford and they said there is nothing to do if the dealership says the truck is operating properly.

Had to disconnect batteries to stop alarm and to get radio to turn off. So to clarify all was shut off and truck was locked and about 1 minute later alarm went off with sound blasting could not turn truck on or off nothing worked. Thank god i didn’t drive it to work would have caused a wreck.

- Summary: I have a 2023 F-250 Lariat with the B&O sound system (Unleashed) with 3100 mile now. On 11/28/23 after entering the truck and hitting the start button I heard what sounded like an explosion going off inside the truck followed by non-stop noise coming through the speakers of the truck. Turning the truck off and opening the doors did nothing. Turning radio off did nothing. I proceeded to leave work and head straight to my local dealership which took approximately 15 minutes to get too and the noise in the speakers had not stopped. I left the truck running and went in to speak to someone in the service department. He came out and got in the truck and was shocked at what he was seeing/hearing. He stated that he had never heard of this before. He tried everything I did to get the noise to stop but it would not. At some point he went into the sound settings and changed it from Surround mode to Stereo mode and it stopped and the radio came on and played like normal. Told me it was possible that I had received an update and something may had gotten stuck in programming and caused a glitch. He said that hopefully it wont happen again but if it does to come see him for a further investigation into the matter. I told him that I couldnt believe that the speakers were still working after that happening. I have a dash cam in my truck that has all of this recorded except the initial explosion because of a momentary lapse of time when the truck is started. It has been a week now since this happened and my ears still have a constant ringing that hasnt gone away. Very irritating to say the least but I am glad that this didnt happen when all of my family was in the vehicle. I however am worried of it happening again in the future.

I have a video of the issue of the music cutting in and out and every now and then the roof speakers and sides speakers let out a high-pitched noise. I noticed the issue happens whenever I listen to music and touch the infotainment system for example, if I’m listening to music and I go From GPS to Music and I tap the screen the music cuts out and that’s a high pitch noise . The static is so loud. Sometimes I have to shut the car off and pull over and shut the car off and wait for the system to shut down the issue has not been resolved, and I would like to process it as a lemon via lemon law

- Summary: No warning that this vehicle is designed to cut itself off after 30 minutes of idle time. This is NOT STANDARD and no owner would ever know or expect this. Ford should have at minimal a warning placard like it does for airbags. We purposely got a 250 truck to use the idle with AC as we setup and cool down our RV. Thankfully we found out about this to avoid serious injury, living in TX climate where temps outside reach 100+ degrees. Someone is going to get seriously hurt or killed since this is NOT expected or a STANDARD feature of ANY vehicle. There needs to be at least a warning but ideally, a permanent override for the owner, or default to normal idle.

At 1100 miles the sound system or the 12” touch screen locks up sometimes so that touch screen doesn’t work, stereo turns off, a sudden loud tone comes on from all the speakers at full volume and the volume control, screen nothing works to turn it down and you have to turn the truck off completely and wait 5-10 minutes before turning it back on and then everything works. Today, I started the truck and discovered that the heated steering wheel and heated seats were on high (When I have never even used them before) so I turned them off. I went into a store and came out 5 minutes later, restarted the truck and the heated wheel/seats had come on again by themselves. The truck will also make a warning tone occasionally while driving but nothing even shows on the screen. Its like I have electrical gremlins jumping from system to system.

- Summary: The instrument panel cluster has failed. You can not see how fast you are going, none of the dash is lit up. You are unable to determine if there are any issues going on with the vehicle. The adaptive cruise control and emergency braking system is not working properly. The battery will also not hold a charge. Our safety is at risk as we don't know what is going on with the fuctions of the truck or if it will start. Yes, ford has confirm this problem and issued a recall. The dealership has inspected the vehicle. There were no warnings of the problem before it occurred. The instrument panel and other functions of the vehicle just stopped working. We are in contact regularly with the dealership and Ford. Initially they placed us in a long term rental since the current Truck is not driveable however, they are wanting to terminate that rental and not provided us with the needed vehicle. Currently, there is not a part to fix this issue. This was a vehicle that was purchased brand new and within 6 weeks we experienced this electronic failure. We need Ford to step up and provide a Ford F250 as we purchased until this is fixed.

- Summary: Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2023 Super Duty F250 and F350 vehicles equipped with single rear wheels and a 10.5-inch rear axle shaft. The left rear axle shaft may have been improperly heat-treated during manufacturing and may break.
- Consequence: A broken rear axle shaft can result in a loss of drive power or vehicle rollaway when the vehicle is placed in park. Either of these scenarios can increase the risk of a crash.

- Summary: Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2023 F-Super Duty F250, F350, and F450 vehicles equipped with the Pro Trailer Hitch Assist feature. The default rearview camera image may not be displayed when using the Pro Trailer Hitch Assist feature.
- Consequence: An incorrect rearview camera image can reduce the driver's view of what is behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash or injury.
- Remedy: Dealers will update the Advanced Drive Assistance System (ADAS) module software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 5, 2023. - Summary: Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2023 Escape, Super Duty F-250, Super Duty F-350, Super Duty F-450, and Super Duty F-550 vehicles equipped with a digital instrument panel cluster. The module may have been improperly soldered, preventing the instrument panel from illuminating. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 101, "Control and Displays."
- Consequence: An inoperable instrument panel cannot show critical safety information, such as the speedometer or warning lights, which may increase the risk of a crash.

If the driver and front passenger door module experiences a low power condition and resets while the window is moving, the anti-pinch function may not detect an obstacle near the top edge and may not automatically reverse direction.
- Consequence: A window that does not automatically reverse when an obstruction is encountered increases the risk of injury.

- Summary: Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2018-2023 Expedition and Lincoln Navigator vehicles equipped with third-row seating; and 2019-2023 F-Super Duty F-250, F-350, F-450, and F-550 SuperCab vehicles. The owner's manual does not include instructions for adjusting or removing certain head restraints. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 202, "Head Restraints."
- Consequence: Without instructions, the head restraints may be improperly adjusted, increasing the risk of injury in the event of a crash.
- Remedy: Ford will mail the Owner's Manual addendums that describe how to adjust and remove the head restraints for the center seating positions, free of charge. The Tire and Loading Information (TREAD) label states the incorrect load carrying capacity, which can result in an overloaded vehicle. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 110, "Tire Selection and Rims."
- Consequence: An overloaded vehicle increases the risk of a crash.
- Remedy: Ford will mail a new TREAD label to install over the existing label, free of charge. Owners will also have the option to take their vehicle to a Ford or Lincoln dealer to have the new label installed, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 21, 2023.
