The Ford F-Series is a series of light-duty trucks marketed and manufactured by Ford Motor Company since the 1948 model year. The F-Series was first introduced in 1948 as a replacement for a previous pickup model line based on car platforms.
The most popular version of the model line is the F-150 pickup truck, currently in its fourteenth generation (introduced for the 2021 model year). From 1953 to 1983, the entry-level F-Series pickup was the 1⁄2 ton F-100. Starting in 1984, the F-150 became the entry-level. The F-150 has a long-running high-performance off-road trim level introduced for 2010, the (SVT) Raptor currently consisting of three generations. Production of the F-150 SVT Raptor ended in 2014 and it was planned to be succeeded by a new F-150 Raptor, which is based on the thirteenth and fourteenth generation F-150.
The F-Series trucks have been developed into a wide range of design configurations. Alongside medium-duty trucks and "Big Job" conventional trucks (the forerunners of the Ford L-series), the model line has been marketed as a chassis-cab truck and a panel van (a predecessor of the Ford E-Series). The F-Series has served as the platform for various full-sized Ford SUVs, including the Ford Bronco, Ford Expedition/Lincoln Navigator, and Ford Excursion. The F-Series has been marketed by its three North American brands: by Mercury as the M-Series (in Canada from 1948 to 1968), and by Lincoln in the 2000s, as the Blackwood and the later Mark LT (2010s for the latter in Mexico only).
Since 1977, the F-Series has remained the best-selling pickup truck line in the United States; it has been the best-selling vehicle overall since 1981. The F-Series has been the best-selling truck in Canada for over fifty years. As of the 2018 model year, the F-Series generated $41 billion (~$49 billion in 2023) in annual revenue for Ford. By January 2022, the F-Series models have sold over 40 million units. Currently, Ford manufactures the F-Series in four facilities in the United States.

As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 111, "Rear Visibility."

The fastener securing the Power Distribution Box (PDB) 12V cable and Battery Monitoring System (BMS) eyelets to the positive battery terminal may loosen and affect the vehicle's systems such as instrument panel displays and braking or steering assist. The engine could also stall.
- Consequence: Inoperative vehicle systems or an engine stall can increase the risk of a crash. Reduced braking and steering efforts increases the risk of a crash. This condition could also create a resistive short, increasing the risk of a fire.

- Consequence: A seat back with an improperly assembled recliner mechanism may have reduced strength and may not adequately restrain an occupant in a crash, increasing the risk of injury.

My wife and I recently decided to upgrade our family vehicle as our two boys have grown up. While I was hesitant to trade in my reliable 14-year-old Honda Accord, we needed a truck for camping trips. We approached our search with an open mind and test-drove the Laramie Longhorn, Platinum, and High Country trims from Ram, Ford, and Chevy. Our goal was to find a 'forever truck', so we wanted to experience the higher-end trims. The 2019 Ram 1500 impressed me with its amazing features and comfortable seats. However, my wife was not a fan of the passenger-ventilated seats, which blew out hot air on a hot day. The ride was also not as smooth as the F-150 and Silverado. The 2019 Silverado had the smoothest ride of the three, but unfortunately, it lacked adaptive cruise control, which we need for our long drives to North Dakota. The F-150 had everything we wanted and we were thrilled with our choice.The seats are very comfortable, although the interior is not as nice as the Ram's. However, everything works perfectly, which is essential. The added bonus of having massaging seats is great for long drives! Some reviews mention that the power steering is not as responsive, but I have not had any negative experiences and it feels great to me. Using the new Sync-3 is not difficult to get used to, and I am not a tech-savvy person. The transmission is very smooth, making the ride comfortable. The kids love the rear seats and the space they have, but they preferred the Ram because of the separate A/C controls and ventilated seats. The power that the 3.5L turbo produces is amazing, and it can tow the heaviest of trailers with ease. Additionally, the Pro Back-up Assist helps people like me look like a professional! I wish the other two trucks had that feature; it would save a lot of honking at RV parks and boat ramps! My wife and I both love the F-150 Platinum. She drives it just as much as I do. In the one-year update, we have owned the truck for a year now and have put over 20,000 miles on it. 5,000 of those miles were from a long road trip across the country. We couldn't be happier with the truck. The only thing that would make it better would be separate climate control for the rear seats. The Ram offers that and would help the kids out. Other than that, the truck is perfect!

I've owned four F150s over the years and recently traded my 5-month-old 2019 King Ranch for a Ram Laramie quad cab night edition. As a diehard Ford fan, I was disappointed with the KR as it had numerous paint flaws, debris, drips, and the roof paint started bubbling off. Despite Ford and my dealer repainting a third of my vehicle twice, the Ruby Red metallic never matched. After escalating the issue to Ford, they offered to repaint it again, but the dealer informed me that the whole truck would need repainting to fix it right. Unfortunately, Ford wouldn't budge on a new vehicle and asked me to pay an additional $7200 for another KR. However, after driving my first Ram on Monday, I was hooked and may never buy another Ford.

I recently purchased a 2019 truck, but unfortunately it didn't meet my needs as a work truck. Despite my efforts to upgrade the suspension and brakes, I was unable to get the support I needed from Ford. However, I am now very happy with my 2016 crew cab f150 xlt package with 27,000 miles on it. It's a great fit for me and my work needs. I did find the windows going all the way down to be a bit inconvenient, but I understand the reasoning behind it. Overall, I'm pleased with my purchase and grateful for a reliable work truck.

In the past 1 1/2 years, I have unfortunately had to make five warranty claims for my truck. However, the service center has been very helpful and covered all repairs under warranty. Although it doesn't leave me feeling completely confident, I appreciate their assistance. To give myself some extra peace of mind, I decided to purchase an aftermarket bumper to bumper warranty. On the positive side, the truck is incredibly fast and has great suspension. The seats are comfortable, although the headrest is at a slightly awkward angle which can cause discomfort on long road trips. The truck has more space than I anticipated and can easily fit three car seats in the back. Gas mileage is decent, with over 17 miles per gallon on steady cruising. The only downside is the size of the truck, which can be difficult to park or drive in urban settings. However, it is perfect for fitting my whole family and all of our gear. As a first-time truck owner, I sometimes feel a bit self-conscious getting out of such a large vehicle in a parking lot, but overall I am very happy with my purchase. I hope that my experience with reliability is just a fluke and that other Raptors are more dependable.

My 2019 Lariat 5.0 is fantastic, although the gas mileage is not as good as I had hoped. Despite being rated at 22 on the highway, I am only getting around 18 with moderate driving. However, I am confident that with proper care and maintenance, I can improve the fuel efficiency. With 2000 miles on it, I am still getting to know my vehicle and I am excited to see what it can do.

Despite my initial excitement for the 2019 Ford F150 XLT 3.5 Ecoboost, I have unfortunately experienced some issues with the transmission and cam phasors. While the dealer did install a new transmission at 7000 miles, I am still experiencing some banging on deacceleration. Additionally, the cam phasors have become noisy on cold start and the dash is warped and coming apart. While I understand that these issues can be frustrating, I am confident that Ford will be able to address them in a timely and effective manner. In the meantime, I am appreciative of my reliable 2011 Tundra and 2017 Nissan Titan XD with a Cummings diesel. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
